Thank you! I fixed it by folding a piece of aluminum foil and putting it under the spring
So I had lost my spring and a regular pen spring works!! This saved me from buying a new pen! Thanks so much for this video; helping others many years later.

you are a genius, I had a spare digital pen lying around so i used its spring with the active pen 2 and it worked!!

Works! If you don't have two springs this small you can also use a single bigger one often found in ballpoint pens. You need some patience to get it squeezed between the two parts of the pen though.
