      Of course, you know why, Djoko had to let out his Anger somehow, and he did it by destroying the Racket. Everybody have ways to let out the Anger. It's not good for keeping that Anger inside of you.
      All those people who say about Djokos breaking Racket is bad behavior, they aren't even humans.

    Djokovic's most difficult match in slams this year, so far. I know he went to 5 sets against Fritz, Tsitsipas and Musetti but I always flt like he was in control of the match. Against Zverev he rarely has the keys, he depends on Zverev's UE. Zverev was up 4-1 in the last 2 sets. It's a miracle Djokovic finished it in 4. I know Zverev isn't the most popular player but in a good day, if anyone can outplay Djokovic in a tennis match this year, it's him.

However, Nadal may not break rackets, but the whole world knows that he used banned substances under WADA's permission due to injuries. Nadal was granted permission twice, in 2009 and 2012, to use therapeutic substances that are otherwise banned by WADA's rules, precisely during periods when he was recovering from knee injuries. I get what you are saying and mostly agree. However, it's possible that Djokovic cannot let go of this bad habit without letting go of the competitive/perfectionist attitude which made him such an incredible and accomplished tennis player. Djokovic does not smash racquets out of anger towards his opponent or anyone else. He smashes it out of anger at himself for not playing his best tennis. That perfectionist attitude pushes him to always improve his game and is why he has been so successful. The racquet smashing is the negative thing that goes with this. I agree though that he should do everything in his power to try to get rid of this bad habit. I'm just saying that he might have already tried to get rid of this habit but failed because he realized that it is a part of him, a flaw that he must sacrifice to get the most out of his game.

      "insulting the ref and nobody will notice" => No, insulting the ref will usually lead to an immediate ejection in e.g. basketball or football, so yeah, it's punished quite severely. Tim Duncan was once ejected for laughing towards the ref without saying anything.
      Smashing the racket is considered disrespectful because it disacknowledges the strength of your opponent until that point in the match. It's quite amazing that Nadal has never done it but almost everybode else (including Novak and Roger) did it several times.
      That said, I do the same when I play badminton or tennis against some friends. But I usually just throw it because I still need the racket:)

    It's poor sportsmanship to do such racquet abuse, but that was really a calculated ploy to break the other players momentum. Look at how he takes his time to select his replacement. I mean how else in a tennis do you get such a pause mid game, while the other player is serving no less?

    • @pacifist1360
      @pacifist1360 2 роки тому +4

      As long as Djokovic is within the rules, there is nothing wrong with that. I agree with you on the fact that Novak breaking a racket can be used in favor to shift his momentum from the opponent by taking his time to change rackets. That's actually a good strategy to help him win the match and it releases his frustration at the same time to collect his energy and play more aggressive and in better control during the rallies. Great strategy actually to break his racket when the game doesn't go his way. This helps him refocus. Him getting a racket abuse code violation simply means he won't do it again during that match but breaking the racket once during the match is fine as long as it helps him elevate his game. Some people believe racket abuse is poor sportsmanship - I don't really see an issue here if he does it once during the match.

      Everyone criticizes Djokovic when he breaks a racket, and many say that Nadal is a gentleman because he never does that. This scandal cannot be overlooked, nor can the bias that often accompanies Novak Djokovic.

    worst in olympics.. rhey say he is mentally strong but after losing he didnt play doubles.. being the greatest u help.others in reaching their dream as well.. fed has his gold in doubles in olympics.. his attitude in olympics is too much for me to teach my kids that this guy maybe good in tennis but his attitude will be remembered as as bad as it is..
