I have presented this information in a way which I believe will be beneficial to almost anyone getting into DMR. If you don't understand something, remember to slow down, go back and confirm you put all the information in correctly.
If I do not click with you, it's okay! There are other people who have made this same topic and presented it in a different way, which may be more understandable to you!
Here is a guide on how to program almost any DMR radio. This is part 2 of 2. In this episode we discuss how to program Analog repeaters, zones and analog simplex frequencies.

Which DMR Radio should you get? I could suggest a Motorola. The Radio's are solid.

Those are two starter radios. The radio I used in this episode was the MD-380, which is just a UHF version. It works well, but you really want to know if DMR is actually available on VHF OR on UHF in the area you are at or the area you are traveling.

Click "Code Plugs" then click Motorola codeplugs or Other Code Plugs.
Codeplugs contained internally are for md2017, md380, md9600 or anytone radios

I need a DMR that will do OpenGD77, I have stuff to trade for an RT3S or MD380. Being stuck in the hospital sucks without a radio. I hate TV.
Hopefully someone can help you out. I just got this from a neighbor/family of a silent key and I am not giving it up. take care.

There is no dmr repeaters near me but I crossmode into dmr from a YSF radio. Is there anything for me to gain from getting a dmr radio. I some how think I'm my case it would be redundant.
I live in Illinois. Near crystal lake, can I just drop my radio off so you can program it correctly 😂😂 I gave up after a week.
