Quick question? How were the bugs there while exploring? Just came back from St. Mary's Georgia and the gnats were horrible in certain areas. Just curious for my next road trip from Massachusetts
I've never noticed gnats ever while visiting Darian - ever. However, tis the start of the season for gnats in the south. When you are in developed areas of towns near our coast or near the ocean, you are typically safe. But when it's warm and humid (typically the worst from June through September here) AND you are near wooded/swampy/river areas, gnats can be pretty annoying. Don't let them stop you though! Rub on some repellent oil (ppl say Avon's SSS works), bring spray, a fan, & enjoy the rest of the beauty. :)
