Bro, more vids hurry up lol. I love them, you have imo arguably the top 3 show out there. I've don't this 100times myself but I listened and watched it like I was learning how to. Your doing such a great job man. Love the channel. Keep it coming!
My wife is getting her RX5 set up and tuned tomorrow afternoon here in Arkansas. She’s super excited. Black and gold pro sight multi pin slider. Never set one up before
Unless you are like a superman shooter might consider getting your first set of marks over a couple of different sessions. This is to verify YOUR continuity in shooting and getting those marks. How many times has everyone needed to double check or start over because they got in a rush or it was windy or whatever? You go out to shoot in a few days and those marks are off like 2-3 yards and you're going " what". Point is to take your time WITHOUT DISTRACTIONS. If you change arrow weight, DL, draw weight etc your marks will need to be done all over again.
I'll be using my first ever slider sight this year and upcoming season. I've yet to sight it in because I'm still not sure of where to have the housing at when starting. I'm using a 3 pin sight and plan on using the bottom pin as my "slider". Should I have the housing slid all the way up when sighting in at 20 or keep it in the center?
I personally would slide it up and check to see where you are at. I’m not sure which sight you have in particular but a lot of housings have several different holes to adjust the whole sight up or down. With a 3 pin I like to have it all the way up, at 40 yards. Sight in 20,30 and 40 with the pins and START your sight tape with 40 yards, then use your bottom pin (40) as the rover
We’re the original pins on that axcel 0.0010 pins? And how is the darker colored sight housing on the original sights, and Ultraview compared to a brighter ring? Seems as if darker would be harder to get a sight picture in low light conditions? Also how are you liking it compared to the original sights?! Thanks!!!!
I have the UV3XL but it is a double pin. Would you set the top pin or the second/bottom pin as your slider? I was "thinking" that maybe I would use the upper pin as the slider and then see what the pin difference is between the two. For instance, if my top pin is 20 and my lower pin is 40, would it work that if I set the slider pin (top pin) at 80, would my bottom pin be 100???
Hey I was watching this video and saw the hinge you were using and I was wondering how you activate your release because whatever you were doing it seemed to be working and I have been struggling shooting mine
I can confirm this works awesome. Crazy how much more consistent I became when I only concentrated on hitting vertical and then horizontal. It’s so easy to call it good when hitting a circle. At least for me.
@@WhitetailFit unfortunately I didn't get a mule deer tag. Hoping to get a doe and bull elk tag though. Either way, would be awesome to get to meet you.
U ever try some bare shaft paper tuning ? Try paper at 10 backstop at 20 when tuned proper you’ll be robin hooding fletched arrows. I love coaching and tuning, but nowadays hunt from a blind with a custom shorter pronghorn recurve and traditional arrows I like a challenge, the modern bows make it too easy. Nice lessons and great form.
Great video the new metal tape is so much nicer now. I shoot the same set up but I have the newer LANDSLYDE amazing sight

Did you have to shim your cams? I think I will have to do it on my Ventum 30. My vanes don't clear the cables.
Not on my RX5 but yes on my VENTUM

Awesome stuff man! Have you ever tried using 2 lines of tape, vertical and horizontal to sight in on?
Thanks! I use a vertical line of tape when I walk back tune my rest
@@WhitetailFit Oh ok sweet! I’ve never done much with walk back, might wanna give it a try!

@@DerekMahurin yes! That’s exactly how I feel about lines as well! Good stuff!
You ever come to Utah and do anything at Kings Camo? I need to get some more gear from them, but it would be awesome to meet you.
Yeah!! I’ll be in town over the mule deer opener

What size peep fits that housing the best?
What is the thing that comets the sight to the bow

What is the name of the target you are using?
It is made by BLOCK targets
How many brand new bows does one need 🤔
Did you did you have to change your peep size?
