Gem, don't worry that much about not being able to find a laser cutter parts, or any other future multiparted designs for that matter. I played this game a few times. Even knowing theoretically where everithing is, there is always one blueprint you just can't seem to find. If I recall correctly, the parts are semi-randomised. 2:02:35 I think it's a common theme to overdo base building, especially for the type of person that enjoys Minecraft, which is all about base building. Yes, but also No - ✨Scan Everything🙂✨ (thank you for the clarification though. I've played the game a lot but I scan everything so I was actually unsure if this was true or not). I think the constant calls and encouragement to Scan might also just be Chat trying to get her to Scan more (or be aware of things that can be scanned). Out of all the playthroughs I've watched, she is the most oblivious to the Scanner Icon pop-up in the corner. Warning, slight spoilers around the aurora for people who want to play the game: I love how, without knowing it, Gem did the two things that will help avoid the Reaper around the aurora: Hug the side of the ship and stay as close to the surface as possible. Good job! :D
Go in your Scanner room and you can set it up to search the area for specific types of objects. Set it to 'Fragments' and you'll be able to see all of the fragments near your base. Add the 'Scanner Room HUD Chip' and you'll be able to see the results while you're out exploring.

Two little tips for you: you can over saturate your food bar, but not water(only goes to 100). Also, all creatures have a danger bar in their PDA entry, at the top right. Loving the series Gem!
Small base-building tip for the future - when you get the alien containment blueprint scanned, it looks AMAZING placed in the large room! It can be a bit cramped when you put it in the multipurpose room, but in the large room it fits WAY better and looks fantastic there.
Ariadne is the daughter of King Minos of Crete, who gave Theseus the string to find his way out of the labyrinth after slaying the minotaur. Theseus abandoned Ariadne on some island (dude) and then Dionysus later fell in love with her. Elliott Page plays a dreamscape maze architect in Inception named Ariadne. Even though Minos's labyrinth was actually designed by Daedalus. So.
I usually don't enjoy watching blind playthroughs. Most have no interest in the mystery and deeper lore of the storyline. Reading of pda's and data logs are a chore to so many players it seems. I’m loving this subnautica playthrough so much! I played it when it was released and watching gem play it for the first time is awesome
These streams are so good I’m doing work while I watch these tysm
I wish there was a multi-player version we could play together. Never heard of subnautica before watching this series but definitely started playing because of it! Genuinely enjoy watching your play through & commentary. I'm sure it's alot with Hermitcraft & Wild Life all happening at once but you're killing it ❤
Warning, slight spoilers around the aurora for people who want to play the game:
I love how, without knowing it, Gem did the two things that will help avoid the Reaper around the aurora: Hug the side of the ship and stay as close to the surface as possible. Good job! :D
Go in your Scanner room and you can set it up to search the area for specific types of objects. Set it to 'Fragments' and you'll be able to see all of the fragments near your base. Add the 'Scanner Room HUD Chip' and you'll be able to see the results while you're out exploring.
Scanner Room HUD Chip will be a big help ✨
Been waiting all morning for this upload so I can watch while I work! Happy Monday Gem :)
Fun fact 2: You can make friends with a stalker by catching a live fish (don't knife it) and allowing the stalker to eat it from your hand (put the fish in your hot bar then select it)
So glad you seem to be enjoying this game!! It's one of my favorites (although I'm still terrified of the deep sea rip)
Eeey more Geminautica!!!!! Loving this playthrough, and don’t worry about pleasing chat all the time, they’re completionists. :P
Thinking of drawing some scuba Gem art sometime soon, once my uni assignments are over.
2:02:00 yes i love base building and i was so glad to see someone actually building a base for once [and not just box for storage and energy, maybe scanner)
I really like your vods (: also you have the patience of a saint, chat that day was ANNOYING. They spoil so much it's insane
i really love your play through! ive never played subnautica but youve inspired me to give it a try!
Subnautica is one of my favourite games of all time and i’m always pleased to see people experience it for the first (or second!) time. Hope I can catch one of the streams but with my timezone I might have to watch through vods. Either way I’m excited to see how you get through the game. Take it at your own pace!
Loving these vods so far! Though the hoarder in me is in a lot of pain watching you throw things on the ground instead of just talking multiple trips to the arurora.
Edit: Also the more "organic" base layout is killing me lol.
the music in this game is really good and adds a lot to the atmosphere of terror.
Yay more Subnautica, i wish i could catch it live but im happy with the vods!
I love seeing you play subnautina❤
I'm loving all the base building, it's so fun!!
Im 30 mins in and i dont know if someone already told u, but u can build a grabber that just grabs fish so u wont have a hard time getting some fish. Its like a fish trap. Love ur playthrough, its the kind of slow and non exaggerated type that i like the most
I love watching all the streams and Vods 😭🙏🏻favorite UA-camr fr gem🔥
I hope there's many more episodes like this I absolutely love subnautica and minecraft
I love the base building. I hate horror and i hate first-person games, but watching you building a cozy base makes me want to get into this game so bad
Two little tips for you: you can over saturate your food bar, but not water(only goes to 100). Also, all creatures have a danger bar in their PDA entry, at the top right. Loving the series Gem!
The timing of 3:18:30!!!
"I've been watching the crabsnakes... They ambush their pray..."
*Gem gets ambushed by a crabsnake.*
LOL
Gem learning all about this dystopia cyberpunk setting is so fun
I'm convinced the crabsnakes thought Irene was a mushroom and they wanted to make her their new home lol😂
i love this playthrough a lot!! Thanks for this!
Gem's luck with the scary boyos is INSANE lol
Gem is great! Gem is great! Gem is great! Thank you for playing this game!
OOH, I’ve been waiting for this one!!!
Small base-building tip for the future - when you get the alien containment blueprint scanned, it looks AMAZING placed in the large room! It can be a bit cramped when you put it in the multipurpose room, but in the large room it fits WAY better and looks fantastic there.
In fact, in the large room it's bigger and oval. Protip: edible fish in the Alien Containment will breed, so you can have virtually unlimited seafood.
Its been such an awfully exhausting day. This is exactly what i need
So.
I think bro commented on the wrong video
@@JatusphereTabar No he is talking about the Ariadne Arm mentioned ingame.
@@malpheus4299 never seen that and never heard of that.
@@JatusphereTabar Ariadne Arm was mentioned like 15 times in this video lol
@@k.Juno.O I think I'm deaf
glad you found the magnetite. the hud chip for the scanner room is a game changer
I like how chat was just yelling POSTER for almost the whole time she was in the Aurora😂
just finished the game as soon as u uploaded wow
I usually don't enjoy watching blind playthroughs. Most have no interest in the mystery and deeper lore of the storyline. Reading of pda's and data logs are a chore to so many players it seems. You are different and it's refreshing to see your attention to detail. You're enjoyable to watch from someone who has played subnautica many times.
love how chat brought up StarGate SG1 when you found the Jaffa cups lol. yay fellow nerds!
Bart: The crabsnaes are territorial and feed on things that go near their mushrooms
Gem: parks the seamoth Right Next to the mushrooms over and over. XD
Gem!!!❤ Yeah!!! Subnautica!!❤❤
omg new episode so soon🫶 i love your subnautica videos
It was so much fun! Really enjoyed the base building
Props to you for putting up with chat and handling it well. The Subnautica Twitch community is... unfortunately, known for backseating. I think people just love the game so much that they want others to have the best experience, not realizing that's what they are basically getting in the way of.
Loving the way you approach this game! Rock on, Gem
I might put a post-it on the top left of my screen or something. I think it might improve my viewing experience. 😅
watching you play subnautica is really fun and really frustrating in equal parts 😂
Another Subnautica stream!! Love this content Gem!
3:18:34
The timing on this is honestly just gold
i usually watch vods instead of the actual live because i hate the ads on twitch but now since us's election is coming up the ads are even worse on youtube now.... anyways im loving watching you play subnautica this is sick!
yeeeesss love this series
You very skillfully avoided dangerous fishie with big teeth)
Looks like next stream will be maybe little heavier on the resource grind, giving the fact that you unlocked a bunch of new stuff and tech that will greatly help your exploration
I am really looking forward discovering with you what other wonders perhaps still lie deep beneath the surface
