Nigel waiting for your book❤
I love the way you live with all those beautiful bonsai. So relaxed and peaceful!
I concur. Charles Ceronio has been a great inspiration and teacher since my introduction to bonsai in 2015. He was an icon of the bonsai philosophy and development in South Africa. I learnt a lot through our meetings and through his books. And yes, all illustrations done by Charles himself. A great artist who always present sketches of raw trees even before styling and then does presentations following these sketches as a guide as the tree progresses through the styling process over the years.
I would pre-order your book in a heartbeat, Nigel!
Same
A book would be a great idea from your point of view 🎉🎉🎉... Great video my friend, I refer to you often in my videos 😁
i use promix or other similar in my bonsai soil mix. to keep them moist on hot days when im not home/at work. i also use bigger pots then most too. im not retired just tired lol. nice new stuff nigel
I think you could write a great book. Especially with the great detail you do on root pruning and getting different types of roots to grow in a natural pattern. From my books, there is no one that does roots like you do. Whole chapters on a few species with pictures is what the world needs. Second half can be the clip and grow way with how trees look in nature which also would be super. Just some thoughts.
Nigel I would absolutely love to have a book made by you.
I think you will be awesome at it.
That temple would have to be the star of the show.
Nigel we only live once right 🤷♂️👊👊👊👊
Cool mini stands!!! Nice buys on the pots!!! Books are always a wealth of information. A cup of tea or coffee and a good book to relax with is always enjoyable.
A bonsai book written and signed by Nigel Saunders. Ok, now I have item #1 on my newly created bucket list. The “f” has now been replaced by a “b”
Thanks, keep growing
Great idea Nigel a book showing the different styles with examples would be fantastic!
Yes, I would buy your book, too!
One thing I think is missing in many books is the long term progression of trees - and you have a great record to draw from. Something that shows how that drastic cut you make on a young seedling ultimately smooths into attractive features of the maturing tree.
I knew you'd like that African section of the book! 😃💙🐦
Nigel thanks for your honest commentaries ! I appreciate hearing your realities of bonzai !😊
Always!
Nigel, hearing you talk about the book, I would love for you to write such a book!! You are perfect to do that and your idea sounds awesome!!
nice video i hope one day i can hold a book from nigel sauners in my hands would be realy nice👍
Learning the trees needs is absolutely the toughest part of Bonsai, to me anyway...You are helping that understanding with each video...Thanks Nigel...
Nigel youre the best. I been watching since like 2016-17... your videos are so peaceful its nice outside lifes craziness. I appreciate you and your dedication 🖤
An excellent idea writing a book! I am sure there is some kind of program that could transcribe the amazing library of videos you have. Then, adding all the other elements you speak of.... I'd buy it.
I trust any book you create would be spectacular!
You know you've already got a waiting list for that to happen! Lol
Sounds like a unique idea for a bonsai book
I see you loccin up your hair. Funny cause me growing Locs is what got me into bonsai. Taught me patience and how fast time passes……good luck
You must have very good energy on your property, stray mama-cats can feel it is safe for their babies. Very cute ❣️ Thank you for letting them be there, you are a nice person ❤
Do it! Write the book! I'd buy it! 🎉
Yes watering twice before and after work is ideal, more if needed
Awe Kittens! Perhaps there is a cat specific rescue that can come and get them. They will spade and neuter mom and kittens before rehoming them. People must apply and be screened before adopting. We have some wonderful rescues here. I water my trees twice a day if needed, but only on days I work. I water when needed when I'm not working. Your book shouldn't be one book Nigel. It really should be a series. Each book in the series can be dedicated to a type of trees. Say, Hardy evergreens, a set of styles or just Ficus. You'll have to list all the trees you want to talk about and group them together. That will allow you to talk more in depth about each tree type than you could cramming them all into one book. Jay showed me pictures of the open house. Looked like it was a wonderful place!
Excellent idea Marysol, I hope the cats get a good home eventually!!
@@TheBonsaiZone As do I!
I would love to see you writing a book - really want you to encourage you to do so - would be glad to own a book written by Nigel Saunders.
Best regards Jens
Get the book done Nigel!
Go for it,I'd buy.
I would buy your book in an instant ! :D
Yeah Nigel, it would be great a book like that and you are really good on the subject
i would buy the book
I can also imagine a book like "Clip and grow the Definitive Guide" or maybe "Washing Away - Complete reference for bare roots" i think you are master on these as well
Buenas reflexiones en cuanto al riego y la observación, mas que nada, en eso de dejar en claro que, la primera artista y creadora es, ni mas ni menos que la naturaleza.
Salud, Nigel !
Hi Nigel I couldn’t agree more with your comments about watering your trees, I spend a good hour or more individually watering all my trees with a hand sprayer using rain water as you do, at the moment we in the U.K. have had a very long sunny spell, which is unusual here, I have a large water butt which collects the rain water, my problem is that the water but is emptying fast, so if we have no rain much longer I will have to water some trees with tap water which I hate and use the rain water on trees that I am aware do not do well with tap water, I don’t have the luxury of having more than one water butt at the moment. I will still use the sprayer as I can’t imagine watering using a hose, to me it is a lazy way of caring for trees, like you I am inspecting the trees at the same time as watering them.
Thanks Joe!!!
Wow that would be amazing if you go ahead and write the book I’ll definitely buy one
You so should write a book Nigel!!
Waiting for your book
Time to water my trees!
Think it is a good choice place your larch forest in the new rectangular pot - maybe it is because the oval kind of give you the image of an island (which can be good if that is what you want). Well that was my own thoughts.
Maybe you should write that book!
Oh please oh please write/curate a reference book for mature tree species found in the wild. I’d buy 10! It’s impossible google image searching good examples for reference inspiration. YES PLEASE NIGEL!!
I must buy the book of yours whenever its out even selling my kidneys or lever 😂😂😂😂😜😜😜
Your future book would be an asset to all who love Bonsia, its time to sharpen your pencil my friend !!!
👍👌👌😊
Hello Nigel!
I had a quick question, I was wondering what’s in the pot of the ficus for the arial root growth development? Thanks 🙏
It's just my usual bonsai soil, perlite and fired clay particles.
Wow awesome thanks!
Your baobabs still have single leafs but what branches!!
It's doing really well, I hope my luck continues!!!
teach the cats to water:)
Nice soliloquy on your relationship with your trees Nigel. If you're not going to engage with them, why have them? Interesting that the western monkey mind misses the present moment by looking to whatever is "next," so a responsibility like watering becomes a bother rather than a joy. Thanks for "taking time!"
The Twilight zone more like.
Foist
The luck continues!!!
@@TheBonsaiZone I fed a stray cat for a year before I could pet it now it curls up on the couch with my dog as a inside cat!!!
@@justlucky13 Wow, good to hear!!! Thanks!
