    Hey, just wanted to know if u oiled the trays or used any sort of sealer. If not could u suggest ways how we can achieve a shiny finishing? Also if we can sand it or not?

      My tray is not dry so bright, you can also use concrete special brightener or spray paint to achieve this effect, I do not use sand.

    Hi can u plz guide me.. when we demold our product can we direct soak in water continually for 3_7 days or we should kept in sunlight before or after soaking . And other question is that give me proper mixing proportion of all the material u use in trinket tray thank u so much 😊

      It is recommended that you clean up immediately after you have done it, don't wash the remaining cement into the water pipe.

      @@inagundersen6272 I usually clean the tools with clean water, you'd better wipe the cement with a napkin first. And I use warm water and washing powder to clean silicone molds.

      This is a normal phenomenon. It will be better if you don't add a lot of water when mixing cement. The state of mixing is similar in my video, and there will not be a lot of water. Hope this will help you a little.

      Do small products you can not add sand, but do big advice you add sand, can increase strength, I generally add. Besides, I use quartz sand.

      I learned the hard way that white portland cement just breaks apart without sand. I found a better product made for concrete countertops. It's called premium countertop mix in white. They sell it at menards and it has all the sand already mixed in and its the same price basically and plain cement.

      @@viennacarbajal5636 Portland cement is basically like hardened chalk. Extremely fragile if you dont mix anything with it. Ive made several planter pots and it literally cracks when removing them from the mold or they crack and crumble with in 24 hrs of removal just sitting on a bench without anyone touching them they just crack apart ..cement is not concrete until you add stuff.

      水泥干透后就会变得不这么鲜艳,你要鲜艳表面涂抹一些其它的材质,比如防水材质的,就会变得更鲜艳。或者是你加的颜料或者氧化铁粉末比例少了。

    so beautiful. could i ask a quick question.This is probably obvious to some, sorry just starting me venture into cement. I used white portland cement but i didn't add sand as i thought this may make it look rough. Am i meant to add sand to portland cement? i was using jesmonite but now feeling a little confused using a new material :0/

      You need add sand to cement or it is easy to break. I usually use a 1:1 ratio, I know jesmoite this material, but this material is not available in China. I think the material of Jesmoite is made more smoother, but it is estimated that the price is also more expensive.

      You have to mix white sand with the white portland cement or it will just crack and fall apart. There is anther product called premium countertop in white that already has the sand mixed in. Works perfect for molds. Its a mixture thats made for concrete countertops so it already has the sand mixed in. Buy in USA at Menards.

      @@DS-qw1tp Tech Mix Premium Concrete Counter Top in white. Awesome stuff. Takes about 16 to 24 hrs to dry before you can de mold. Also .. another way to get white concrete which works awesome is to get Cement All and add powder food grade Titanium Oxide. Use it like you would use any other concrete pigment. And that Cement All dries in like 4 hrs compared. Lots of you tube videos about it. But the counter top mix is a brighter white.

      Not really, you can use 1:1 1:2; 1:3, I tested to feel smoother with 1: 1 ratio.

      I don't know what kind of cement do you use, but you'd better wait until it's dry before unmoulding. Also, make sure that your proportions are correct, if the proportion is correct, it is generally less likely to be damaged.

      Acrylic is much lighter in fact. And it uses all the water in the concrete so you have to add more water so it takes a very long time to cure using acrylic paint. It's very hard to mix it evenly and it weakens the cement.. very experienced. Direct Colors has a large selection of pigments and you could never get a deep color like that with acrylic paint

      I took the photos when I was not dry, so the colors look more vivid. Also you can seal with Acrylic coating or Acrylic emulsion. It will also have pretty good effect.

      I ha e sanding blocks from home depot or Amazon . Use a 60 grit ot 80 grit and a 120 or 220 to smooth it. Sands off easy

      I have a spot in my back yard near a faucet and I rinse them immediately after I pour. But there is a 3ft by 3 ft patch of colored concrete in my yard that keeps growing now. I've seen many many people using solo cups and they must be killing the environment to use new solo cups every pour. Then trash and no clean up.

      Thanks Rax for your comments, I use Portland cement. Don't add too much water, control the water. Cement has many standards, I use high standard white cement to make these trays.

      The mass of water is 40% of the weight of cement,But the concrete depends on the cement , different cement requirements are different ,Just adjust the cement to a paste and try more to find the trick.

    Why is the end product much better color than when you pulled it from the mold? The colors look richer on the shot showing with glasses than it does when you de molded it.
