BMW E31 Washer Nozzles Replacement

- Replacing the washer nozzles on the E31 8-Series sounds quite easy - well it isn't, I'll tell you that for nothing. I'll go through the complete procedure and you can find out why it isn't as easy as it first looks!

A large syringe that I use to fill my diff and transmission I filled with CRL (Calcium Rust Lime) and water, 50/50, and pushed it through the nozzles. Left it and came back an hour later and all the nozzles were clean on my E38. So I did the same on my E39 and then my Mercedes CLK55 cabrio. Cleaned them out wonderfully.

Hi @Timm's BMW Repairs and Information! You're videos are awesome and you're a true inspiration! I'm trying to replace a new Fuel Tank Vent Valve 16-13-1-182-761 for 1996 BMW 850ci V12 that's NLA. Can you get one of White 3 ports? If not, can I use something else as a Substitute? I'm open to all suggestions, please.

Thanks! The alloys are Rondell 58's which are staggered, 11J rears and 9J fronts, offset 13mm, I use spacers on the front to push the alloys out a bit. Suspension is the standard E31 sports suspension. Have a look online for: www.meeknet.co.uk/e31/timms_bmw_wheel_and_tyre_page.htm
Need these done on E34. Would rather just pay someone than reach 8ft up to fidget with the clamps

Hello Timm Did not know where else to post this question. I cannot for some reason fill the headlight washer tank in the boot of my E31. I try and soon I have water leaking from underneath the car in the region of the plastic piping to the tank which is under the car. Is this a common problem and how do I fix it so that I can fill this tank. Appreciate your input as always
Not common, but does happen - but - check the pump in the boot, they often crack and leak fluid through the bottom of the car - more info here: www.meeknet.co.uk/e31/Washer_System_Repair.htm
I'm in Pensacola Florida and I have a problem and need your help. I own a 1996 BMW 740iL that was purchased from the original owner with 75K miles on it, it now has 85K since I brought it. The car drives and runs great, I had some work performed to fix the front end simmer and other minor things to include sending the dash off for pixel replacement. I love this BMW. The problem is that I don't drive it daily, only around 4-5 times a month. I started it up and pulled it into the garage after it sit outside for a few days. I came out in the garage two days later and it won't start. I had the battery checked and fully charged and it will won't turn over. The lights in the dash come on, but if I put the turn signals on, they don't flash inside the car but do outside. I read about the key as a possibility but the key opens and locks the doors fine. It doesn't click like the starter is trying to turn, it just does nothing. I need advice before taking it to BMW for who knows how much. Any advice you can give would be great, Thanks
Hello William, that sounds like a loss of synchronisation between the key transponder and the DME - simply fixed with diagnostics. Go on over to Bimmerforums.com and post the same question there, or search for synchronisation- usually an easy fix
I need your help with the bleeding the cooling system on E39 530i 2001
Tried all methods to get rid of all the air out of the cooling system nothing work !

@@TimmsBMWRepairsandInformation i can not use this procedure since i can not rev the engine, it's electric throttle I have to be inside the car .
Forgot to mention I have 2 bleeding caps (other cap on thermostat housing)
Then get in the car and rev it up to get the coolant around the heater core.....

From BMW, and they weren't cheap either - £130 for a pair!

Hi Timm, is Mario from Raleigh nc, unfortunately to replace the fuse # 6 didn't fix the problem. New relay, new fuse, and no results, any advice?? Tnx
Timm, the emergency lights are off and the turn signal is not working at all, i replaced the relay for a new one and nothing is fixed. Please advise

Sir Timm, please help me out with this, I tried to repair the headlight relay and was not my area, lot of smoke came from the box, since the incident the emergency light came up in the middle of the night, waking up the neighbors, I ordered the two relays, headlight and the emergency one, is it possible for you to give me a clue of what's is going up..
