The husband needs to keep his condescending mother in check. She can’t just show up their place of business unannounced with a group of people demanding food. He would go cook the food himself.

She's running a business while MIL isnt. Business isnt a place to get chummy and have a friend atmosphere. Also add to the fact that her employees keep making mistakes. Not saying that she cant tone it down.

lol this kind of Typical mil spoke so well of her son, criticise her dil cooking in front of her friends, say the chef love her son more than her son love her. like the chef is worthless for her son. so annoying and disregard her dil at all times.

That's how kitchen life is. You talk about accountability with head chef, you pack your stuff. 😂 Work in a kitchen before, who ever cooks, will take responsibility. The head chef orders, u make. If can't take orders right, pack your stuff 😂

This would not help during when the restaurant is open. Could send people away instead of bringing in business. Boy her husband was rude. This is his fault his mother just shows up. I am sorry for the chef. She is a terrible mother in law. Reminds me of mine. Her husband better start sticking up for his wife.
If you watch any serious Kdramas (not the wholesome, romance ones) Korean mothers are depicted as the "authority" over her sons life :health, wealth and importantly, who should he marry.

@@charliejoson9145 I guess making her son and daughter in law feel bad is important to her. I am a mother in law and I hope to not ever be an embarrassment to them in public like that. She was even making her guests uncomfortable. Constructive criticism is one thing, but embarrassing them in front of patrons is a bit much.

I do not like the chef scolding him based on mother in law’s test bud…she has to stick to her chef’s principals and the food she sells. If she thinks the food the guy chef cooked was good, she can not ask them cook better so her mother in law will like it
this whole video just made me so mad. The chef, the husband, the MIL. first, the chef thinks that being strict will make his other chefs do better. And she takes out her frustration of pressure from her MIL. That's not a good example at all. It's not bad if you're strict but be strict at intended times. The husband is really inconsiderate. Especially when the second batch of food was still cooking, he said something as to why it was taking long and says something that would trigger the anger more. He's not being considerate of his wife- the chef from the moment her mother came into the restaurant. The MIL is too much. She thinks too highly of herself making herself look as a good MIL but the moment she just came without notice and brings stuff and literally making them do superstition stuff DURING WORK HOURS is really not a good sign of a MIL or basically a RED FLAG. She thinks just because she has a DIL that is successful, thinks that they share it. Yes, they're family but that's not how it works. And rudely making comments in front of her friends to make her look like she has standards but it's just a matter of showing off. I've always enjoy boss in the mirror episodes but this just is too much. TOO MUCH ITS DISAPPOINTING!

The fact that such individuals are promoted on TV is genuinely embarrassing, especially considering the existing issues within Korean society.
It is crucial to cease glorifying this type of conduct. Perhaps by doing so, there is a chance for people to initiate positive change and foster a more inclusive and accepting environment.
But the chef need to respect mil a bit just to pleased her pride . But mil shouldnt do tht to her dil too😂

This one of the reasons why a lot of young people commit suicide in Korea. Dealing with this kind of boss is one of the reason. If you want to make your mother in law like your food then make it by yourself it's not the employee's fault for having your rude mother in law came to your restaurant. Be a descent BOSS .

Shes cooking for her mother in law for fcks sake here, someone who also used to cook as well. Meaning if its not perfect then its not good and she gets judged. Of course shes extra strict here, she wants to leave a good impression on her mother in law and show that shes also a good wife for her son.
