- What's going on yall!! History and Lore!!! Super duper boring!! But we're here... sorry it's taking so long to put these out, there's been alot of stuff going on in our personal lives... hopefully I'll be able to crush out season 5 asap. Some cool new information was taught to us this episode. The 2 biggest things were the Dragon Civil War and the concept of a 7v7 Trial by combat . Other than that and Jon having a Valyrian sword, this history and lore
Was super boring. Imma go sleep now. We will see you all on SEASON 5. PCE
be sure to follow us on patreon for the full length reactions + more!!

The civil war among Targaryens is (and will be) shown in House of the Dragon. I hope that you react to it too!
they will after Game of thrones they still got time before season 2 of HOTD
House of The Dragon is about the Targaryen civil war
Tywin did explain to Jaime how Ice, Ned's sword was reforged. He said that there were only three smiths left who knew how and that he had sent for the best of them from Essos.
I think the wolf pelt that Tywin pulls Ice from at the start of the season is from Sansa’s direwolf Lady. I think somehow Joffrey/Cersei got their hands on Lady’s pelt after Ned had to kill Lady for biting Joffrey (FU
Tywin didn't know how to reshape Valyrian steel himself. He hired one of the few people who did know. And the "material" that was used to make both Joffrey and Jaime's swords came from the ancestral sword of house Stark, Ice. Ned had it with him in King's Landing, and it was taken by the Lannisters after Ned's arrest.
It was also used to chop off Ned's head! 🙃
The poison Oberyn used was manticore venom. We saw a manticore in season 3 when Barristan saved Dany from one when the warlocks tried to kill her
Damn I never put that together
Pup was looking like ‘I did no such thing! And watch where you swing that swifter!’
The dogs look was priceless, “dude! WTF did I do?”
Dracarys is the command to breathe fire, the large dragon’s name is DROGON. Love the reactions! Keep going!
Came here to say the same thing! 😂😂Drogon is my favorite dragon!
I think 'Dracarys' means 'burn' because Dany used the word 'Nememitas' as a command, which the subtitle translate as 'fire', to launch her Catapults in S3E10 Mhysa.
Hearing you guys discuss events and unknowingly scratch at major plot points is really fun for me 😂
The dragon is Drogon. Dracarys is the command in Valyrian to throw flame.
oh fellas, can’t wait for y’all to see this in House of the Dragon 🐉🔥🍻
Fun fact: Ned stark is mentioned in one way or another in basically every single episode of the series.
Dragons barely even listen to Targaryens, as we saw, but they do because they are connected to them with blood magic. That's why the Targaryens were so powerful in Westeros and Old Valyrians around the world, because they were the only ones who could ride and command them.
Also, I think we would all love if you guys could upload more often, of course if you can find the time, but it's so hard to wait over a week for a single upload!
Good pick up on Jon's sword being Valyrian steel. The only other Valyrian steel weapon we've seen that yall didn't mention is the dagger the lannisters used to try and finish off Bran in season 1. And Ned's big ass sword, which was reforged into Brienne's and Joffrey's.
This upload just made my lazy Sunday morning perfect! 🤜🤛Thanks guys!
The beard is gone! I love that you guys wear comfy jammies to do videos lol. My people
Seven Hells, yeah! So stoked to have just found this! Too bad to find in 4th season, but glad all the same. Y'all are GENIUS! Subbed.

I AM WATCHING !!!
Shae was SO in the wrong. Not only did she bang Tyrion's dad after lying on the stand to get him a death sentence, she also immediately came at him with a knife when he walked in on her.
"Ser Meryn Trant, the forgettable"
_Arya Stark has entered the chat , and she brought a list_
love the reactions, would love to see y’all upload more
The best history & lore is definitely seasons 4, 5, & 7! Y’all have to keep going to get all the details!! The black one is named Drogon after Khal Drogo & the green one is Rhaegal & the gold one is Viserion
The ending!!!! 😂😂😂
The actor who plays Pycell was General Veers in The Empire strikes back.
As stated earlier in the series, Aryas sword is “castle steel” which is the best that they know how to make.
The new King's name rhymes with commen. King's Tommen.
10:25 sorry boys (Aaron). Oberyn did get his blood. He poisoned Tywin before squaring off against The Mountain. That's why Tyrion finds Tywin in the toilet. A poison called Widow's blood.
Lol Dracarys means Fire
His name is Drogon, and yes he’s her main boy, and is quite a bit larger than the others.
Oh and yes HotD is fucking awesome. I was so impressed.
You should watch House of the Dragon, it covers the Dance of Dragons, thought only season 1 is complete. Season 2 comes out sometime this year or next year.
Also NO comments on what House of the dragon is about Wait till they start watching HOT D to understand
WHOO GAVE YOU DE ORDERR
Shae was selfish because she would never take the time to understand Tyrion's perspective. She wanted what she wanted and was completely blind to the hell she was putting Tyrion through, despite the fact that he clearly loved her and only wanted to keep her safe. You could excuse her later behavior as merely a matter of survival but not her earlier willful blindness.
house of the dragon is littttt y’all will love it
I hate it.
No talk about House of the Dragon please your comments have been removed
As you´re close to watch season 5, I feel like a Davos quote is quite fitting... "Apologies for what your´re about to see"
Expectation Setting
He should have been there before we watched the show to warn us hahaha
I didn’t know Joel / Mando narrates this one. Pedro is the man
My only wish is that he was alive longer for the run of the show!
Beardless Mike is really throwing me off
There's a whole show about it guys
Honestly cant wait to watch House of the Dragon with you fellas 💯🔥💚🖤
Biggest recommendation for season 5 history and lore: do NOT watch The Dance of Dragons. It will spoil House of The Dragon
Guys Please don't comment on the Names of The dragons as these names come up in the first 2 episodes of season 5
Tywin swords where reforged from ice neds valyrian sword
Love you guys
The scorpions are called manticore, the Warlocks tried to get Dany with one while disguised as a little girl. Barristian saved her. Pycelle says it's manticore venom when they are looking at the Mountain, and Qyburn says he can save him.
You get to see a 7 by 7 in the Novels "A tale of Dunk and Egg".
Also the Civil War Dance of Dragon is being portrayed on HBO's "House of the Dragon."
Tywin has Tobho Mott reshape his the Sword, is was Gendrys master blacksmith, one of few smiths that knows how.
Oberyn, Stannis and the late King Robert are my favorite narrators for History & Lore
I mean, I don’t want to say that Shay was a gold digger, but the Lannisters home of Casterly Rock has gold mines so I am heavily implying it though
The Iron bank just loaned to Stanis, who is probably being sent to collect. Stanis is all about the law, no matter who it kills.
I’m hyped for yall watching house of the dragon
Imagine getting to the end of season 4.... and having no curiosity over Jon's parentage. This comment will probably get deleted but just wow, I need to say that that is a marvel in and of itself.
You're a Monday Morning QB. Easy to re-hash things AFTER you already saw the show a few times already. Nobody is thinking like you are thinking as they see the show, episode by episode. Leave the Boyz alone & let them absorb things at their own pace, as we all did THE FIRST TIME WE WATCHED THE SHOW. You're exactly the reason why lore & book commentary is not needed, there is no need for aids, other than what they are learning in the show, like the dozens of the first reactors of the show did. Everybody is an Einstein after they already saw the full show.
@@Steve-eh4db I picked up the hints of Jon's true parentage when I read the book immediately after seeing the first episode because it intrigued me so much that I ran to the bookstore to get it. So.... idk what all that you typed is. Just because you weren't perceptive or curious enough, doesn't mean everyone also isn't.
@@AllTheArtsy why u tryna flex ur tini wini brain? Jon’s parentage has nothing to do with where they’re at in the story rn. Also read ur comment again cuz it doesn’t make sense.
The 3 Leaches Melisandre uses as a power show demonstration to Stannis was a manipulation. She foresaw Robb, Joffrey & Balon all die in her fire visions.
yall need to watch this show faster i love seeing ur reactions, keep up the good work guys!
And the big dragon is drogon ( for kahl Drogo) and the other 2 dragons are viserion and reghal. Dracarys is the command for the dragon to breathe 🔥
He called her a sluot. He’s definitely a fellow BMS fan
Shae was a back staber. Lied under oath, implicating Tyrian. Probably schtuped Tywin during the trial. No way you can defend her. Ned's ghost permeates the series. No one believed he was a traitor, and everyone believed when he said Joffery was illegitimate.
I think this one just revealed the whole plot of HotD. Now you won't have to waste your time watching it.
damn Oberon is sooo cool.
There are smiths that can rework Valyrian Steel but can't make it. Luckily Tywin is (allegedly) rich enough to hire a skilled smith
Do you suppose watching "History and Lore" for a particular season prior to the season it represents would not be a better provider of insights and not having spoilers?
WHERE THE BEARDS
First let me just say that I don’t agree with most of Shae’s choices; if I were in her shoes I woulda done things A LOT differently.
And I dunno if anyone has said in the comments that Shae wasn’t in the wrong (I haven’t read every single comment for every video), she did a lot of things wrong IMO
For the last video I commented that Shae is easy to hate for the things she’s done (I hate her too!) but that she doesn’t really have a lot of power in her situation (due to the fact that she is a wh@re - not a noble, not even a person native to Westeros) and that that her and Sansa’s situations are very similar because they are basically all alone in King’s Landing and at the mercy of the royal family.
She should have taken her chances and fled King’s Landing one of the many times Tyrion tried to get her to go but she didn’t. Who knows why she didn’t leave but I honestly don’t think it was because she loved Tyrion to much to leave him. Seeing as how their relationship played out I don’t think she ever really loved him at all. She might have cared for him at one point, but only as long as he was useful to her. As soon as she realized she couldn’t manipulate him anymore she probably considered him an enemy, or at least not worth her loyalty.
I have watched this history and lore before but now I have watched House of the Dragon
Not just anyone can ride a dragon. Has to have Targeryen blood.
23:16 House of the dragon
HOT D!!!!
Do S5, there they explain the Tragaryen Civil War
House of the dragon is the prequel series all about the dance of dragons it’s fire
I think in the season 5 of the history and lore, they talk about The Dance of Dragons which was the Targaryen Civil War which basically changed the Targaryen Dynasty forever however The House of The Dragon Tv Show is based on The Dance of Dragons war so idk if you guys wish to be spoiled on all the events of it , if you don’t I would skip the dance of dragons segment of the history
They wont remember it anyway.
So right Mike, she was funny, cute, but a huge biarch and had to go, where's the loyalty?..
Who on Earth said that Shae isn't in the wrong? Tyrion was under no obligation to stay with her, even if her life HADN'T been in danger. Nobody is obliged to stay with their partner. That's not how it works. That's a prisoner, not a partner. Even IF he'd sent her away just because he didn't like her anymore...that's life. Sometimes someone doesn't want to be with you forever. Since when would even that (which we all know wasn't Tyrion's reason for sending her away) justify falsely testifying against someone at a murder trial, and fucking their father? Hell, it doesn't even justify shouting at them angrily! It's their decision to make!
I think anyone who can't see this, should be put on a list, cus they seem the type that would murder an ex just for ending a relationship!
It's a bit sad how they twisted it around on the show to make Tyrion the victim because in the books, he's the irrational crazy one who imagined a relationship that didn't exist. And yet somehow most of the fandom still blamed Shae....
Yes, definitely watch House of the Dragon.
Season 5 NOWWWW
So you’re ok with Sansa lying to save herself but not ok with Shae lying to save herself?
Shae was offered a bag of diamonds and safe passage knowing full well the shitstorm that is KL. She was spiteful
@@TorgoMazing if she was that selfish she would have taken the jewels and left. she loved him and wanted to stay with him. She didn’t become selfish until he broke her heart. I understand why he did it, but I can also see what motivated her before and after. Sansa is now acting the way she is for self preservation. So was Shae after Tyrion spurned her.
@@bereasonable8018 Nah, Shae thought she was gonna come up in the world, going from a lowly whore to dating a Lannister-the richest family in Westeros. She wasn’t content with playing her role, she wanted Tyrion to be all about her 24/7 and that just isn’t feasible for a man of his position.
I hate Shae as much as the next person, but in terms of character study, she is doing pretty much what she has to do to survive. We were not shown whether or not she was forced to testify against Tyrion? And as a camp whore, she slept with a hundred other guys so why not the Tywin. Yeah 🤮I know.
@@bereasonable8018 If she wanted to simply survive she easily could’ve taken the money Varys offered her, got on a ship and lived a wealthy comfortable life wherever she chose for the rest of her days. She denied it because she saw it as a slight instead of the lifeline it was. That proves she wasn’t just trying to survive, she was after a status she was never going to achieve. The son doesn’t work out, just bone the more powerful father instead. She didn’t even act ashamed when caught, she immediately went for the kill. All her “I’m not scared of your father he doesn’t own the world” talk only to die in his bedsheets. Fuck Shae.
Guys don't watch more history and lore cause there will be spoilers for house of the dragon.
Mike, I agree 💯 that Shay deserved every bit of what she got. Now time for season 5. The lore is okay, but this next season will be the start of non-stop sh!t going down. Let's go.
Heads up but you probably don’t want to watch season 5 history and lore
History & Lore is completely unneeded trivia. Every original reactor (The ones that reacted to GOT episodes as they first aired on TV) lived perfectly well w/o it. Watching GOT w/o watching History & Lore, did not dull their senses one bit. We are talking about dozens of reactors here. It's the 2nd generation GOT viewers who are clamoring for additional GOT aids. Sort of like needing the cash register to tell you how much change back you get when you hand the cashier a $20 bill, for something that costs you $10.89. You'd be surprised on how many people don't have a clue on how much change they would get back, because they got lazy to think for themselves or have aids to do the thinking for them. Just another way to have things manipulated their way. It's a bit late, but I would have suggested, living w/o it, like living w/o book comments, which has a slightly different story (Incomplete) then the show. You can always do this after you've watched the whole show & perhaps do a reaction video, when you read the books.
My plan ultimately is to read the books when we are done from the show front to back(including HOD) in terms of the H&L we are in deep with it and have gotten used to doing it. We may not do season 5 H&L because of the potential spoilers it has for HOD and the Targaryen civil war
Only Targaryens and they race can ride dragons.
you should start reacting to house of the dragon in parallel with game of thrones.
there's no spoilers to the original show (since is a prequel).
They are uploading only about once per week.
Y'all should take notes to help you not forget names 😅 I mean I get it there are a lot of characters.
Hahaha darcarys is not a dragon name. And history and lore was not boring in the past seasons, some of thedialogues are chill in storytelling
dance of the dragons. why dont you react to that
you guys do know thqt there aa show called dance of the dragon.
You should watch lores before the seasons by the way
