I used chana dal a few times and it made the dosas way too brown. So stopped using. Now I just use idli rice, methi seeds and urad dal.

    Y not ratio 1:2?

  • @devang.jayswal

Why you did twp batter seperately. Why can we soal rice along with urad dal and grind them together?

We soak and grind them at a time

  • @mikeberger1688

Why do all the recipes call for soaking the idli rice and urad dal separately. Why can't you just soak them together?

I try your recipes regularly and always get expected results. In this recipe, you used wet grinder. Could you please suggest to me which stone grinder is more durable. As I saw many reviews for different companies but none of them is good.
