@@Sugarist0 Not the White Sox, Mets, or Kings. They've really collapsed and can't seem to do anything right. Especially the Sox. The Raptors haven't been much better at all. The Patriots one is one that'll definitely be good to see happen.
The NCAA should be thankful the NFL exists, so they aren't the worst agency in American sports. The NFL should be glad that FIFA exists, so they aren't the worst agency in international sports. FIFA should be glad the IOC exists so they aren't the worst agency in ALL of sports. The IOC is just glad the rest of the world's law enforcement agencies are cowards who refuse to hold them accountable for international financial crimes and human rights abuses.
I would love to write a Dorktown on the 2022 Phillies. Truly one of the most magical seasons I've ever witnessed in any sport ever. Went from their starting third basemen saying he f'ing hated this place, to them being 2 wins away from Winning the world series, just to get No Hit in historical Philadelphia fashion.
26:27 Me, a loooong time Seahawks fan begs to differ. I lost track of how many bad challenge flags Pete threw that cost us a critical timeout at the end of a game. He's the king of bad challenges.
As a saints fan, I was waiting to hear about the goddamn Vikings game again. As soon as you mentioned Katrina, I was ready to turn it off. Then you mentioned Gleason, and my heart skipped a beat.
If you can find the sound byte, the Cardinals radio announcer was actually mad when the Cards beat the Vikes. He was yelling, "NO, NO, NO" it was hilarious. I remember it.
Dave Kreig of the Seahawks was sacked seven times by Derrick Thomas of the Chiefs in one game. The Seahawks got the ball with less than a minute left and no timeouts. Kreig drove Seattle to the Chiefs 35 yard line with 4 seconds left. On the final play of the game Thomas stormed into the backfield reaching out for Kreig who ducked under his arms and leapt up and fired a 40 yard strike to wide receiver Paul Skansi who caught the ball as 4 members of the Chiefs secondary crashed into him. The Seahawks won 17-16. This story is in Derrick Thomas’s A Football Life on UA-cam.
If the Eagles lost this game their week 17 matchup against Dallas would’ve been their ticket into the playoffs. I can guarantee you they would not have rested and their starters for that game. And won. That would’ve knocked out the packers and the giants would have hosted the eagles in the wild card. The packers were fortunate the eagles came back to win this game
At 9:36 if they ever make a movie about that specific time in giants history, for whatever reason, aaron eckhart needs to play that guy!! The blonde dude, not the one in the helmet!!🤔🤔
@@thejoshpresle Interesting, I just looked up the game notes and not only is that exactly what happened, but the play USC won on was actually an illegal play lol. Not a fan of either teams, just seems like a very odd series of events.
@@Sparky6115 Well, you read wrong. Less than two minutes passed in real time between the fumble out of bounds and Bush pushing Leinart over the goal line. That's not enough time for a replay review because they take forever. And yes, it was legal to push Leinart... That's why it's been talked about for nearly 20 years.
@@Sparky6115 That's funny, because I actually went and watched the final minutes because I didn't want to accidentally be wrong, and guess what? I'm not wrong. The announcer brings up that there's no replay in that particular game when they're trying to figure out what to do on the field. It's on UA-cam. Literally the easiest thing in the world to verify. Biased? I hate Pete Carroll and Notre Dame equally, so... 0-2 there, Chuckles.

As a Toronto sports fan, I would also add the Toronto Blue Jays collapse after winning back-to-back championships in 1992 and 1993.
All of these feel like the collapse started relatively recently, would need more time for both content and to see if it was truly a collapse

The royals one is easy... They have cheap ownership. This current team will be sold off in a few years and the cycle will repeat.
