"I didn't craft a cool legendary to put it away and not use it." FUCKING MOOD. I was so happy that I made the Bifrost (because I'm a skritt at heart and it's got shiny) and was really sad that there's barely any builds for some of the classes I play. But that's okay. I'LL MAKE IT WORK, DAMMIT.
Two things not mentioned in the video. 1. Even though the shroud makes you tanky its important to avoid large incoming damage while in shroud as to not be prematurely forced out of it. This can lead to a big dps loss. 2. For encounters with short burst windows you can use the lich form and pre summon its minions. This way you can work around the reapers low burst potential.
Heya! I have a question. Im relatively new to the game, but dumped enogh hours into both game itself and content surrounding it, such as guides etc. Eve played necromancer, a death-condy tanky build, reliant on conditions and minions with carapace mechanic. Recently ive decided i want my elite spec, and forced myself into HOT zones. This build was strong engh to take most hero points challenges solo, between minions, kiting, and death shroud. So i had no problem with it, despite me having mostly yellow gear. Now im reaper. I heard a lot about how it has great survivability, but... i seem to do something wrong. Build and gear are exactly as here and snowcrows, minus relic as i spent all my gold for now. And yet, despite all that, there before i could absolutely demolish pack of mobs, challenge a veteran or elite one, in some cases even champion, now i can die to a few mobs or a random crits. I just went back in HOT, and got jumped by a single normal mob who just yanked half of my health with two atacks. Now, i get it - i had tanking minions before. I get it - i had more vitality and carapace, granting me both HP and damage reduction. But really, wtf? Yes, i can completely decimate pretty much any mob(havent tried vets or elites yet) in a few moments, but i myself can be decimated as fast. Where is promised survavibility? Each slot in my gear except for weapon is a grade higher than before. Yes, armor is berserk, so no survival stats, but it still grants more passive armor with grade, i believe. How can i die this fast? I seem to lack some knowledge. Where reapers survavibility comes from? Is it only death shroud and 4% lifesteal when targeting low health targets? I realise i can get few pieces of celestial, but i dont want to sacrifice damage output. And it wouldnt be much of help, if i wont understand what fundamentally do i do wrong. And this aside - how much celestial trinkets will give me? Like 300 vit+tough? Its not enogh to make any difference. Its important for me, as i geniunely like necromancer theme, and i even more in love with greatswords. And the impression reaper gave me makes me want to quit it. Because as much as i like playing necro, im not sure i want to put myself through another evening grinding points into another expansion. Yeah, i know, HOT is probably the toughest to do it. But still. It is far more pleasant for me to level alts casually and try to give their elite specs a go, considering how much ive dumped into necro and how it came out. But i still want to salvage it and try to understand, so maybe you can help me?
Ok first of all the build here and in snow crows is a dps build for when u dont need to survive and just to damage , i have solo builds to beat even legendary bounties and its even better now since they added lifesteal to reaper shroud
Reaper shroud third skill is a shield when u pop it once that gives 66% dmage reduction , and the skill rise summons minions nd gives u 33% dmg reduc against enemies that minions are attacking , u should also go with the traits with extra health on soul reaping , nd also stay with death magic and go for 2 -3-2 , and when u know ur fighting a tough champion ull have to switch for celestial gear , its the universal gear for open world
@ Grand thanx for such a detailed and helpfull answer! I get it now. Different mmo mentality held my understanding back. Mind sharing another wisdom? This time it wont take a lot of time i swear. in your expirience, if we dont consider toughest soli challenges in the game, but still consider harder content barely intended for a single player, how much celestial do you need on reaper, or, if there are some sort of general rule, on any character? Considering the fact that each piece that are not celestial will be your best DPS set. For example berserker here. And what slots are best for changing to celestial if yore not going for a full set - armor or other gear?
@@DarkBlackGod14since celestial is the balanced gear and have equal stats on everything that means itll help with 2 types of damage , condition and power and also the healing stat gonna make our lifesteal stronger and also a stat to raise boons and condition duration so we will be benefitting from a lot of things and also be tanky thats why its good to go full cele if ur in open world cuz u are ur own tank and dps nd healer and ull need all those stats , i have a vid comparing cele to power check it out itll explain more
i find it interesting that no one uses the Spirit minion, which has an activated attack that gives you life force and damages all enemies in the area. Do the signet passives turn off when you enter shroud? i notice their symbols disappear with i enter shroud.
I somehow played my reaper less and less to a point where I only use it for fractals with randoms. I got so much fun with engineer lately and I undusted my guardian 😅

love lich form , i use it in pvp
This was my first build and works in PvE as well as group content. Thank you for you guides!
Gonna go try this build- been leveling a few alts, but Reaper is still my favorite. Thanks as always for the great content!
I've been experimenting swapping Greatsword with Spear. I like the extra mobility it incorporates using Isolate/Distress.
What costume skin are you using and where do I get it? It looks awesome!!
ua-cam.com/video/t7qd8-npR-8/v-deo.htmlsi=RWoui1XPBm-vF_db this should cover it
short answer is mix of requiem armor , decade armor , reaper hood and achievement skins
Thank you so much for the reply!!

@@sylvarixreaper Thanx a lot!
sorry i had problems hearing it. Sword/sword instead of dagger/sword is ok?
The meta is dagger / sword but i like running dual sword or staff for aoe and mobility

Yes they turn off , there used to be a trait that keeps them always but they removed it
and lot of people use the shadow fiend it has good damage and life force recovery
hi,what do we use instead of relic of firework??
Any relic that increases strike damage , but right now fireworks is meta untill a better one release
what is the name of the dye?
Shadow abyss + sea green
@sylvarixreaper thx ! Great content btw 👌 you inspired me to play necro

i have the opposite problem , i get bored from other classes
I will never understand why people use staff, its awful and marks dont trigger on all bosses.
I wish theyd rework necro staff tbh its boring
