I Am Legend (2007) starring Will Smith.
I'd never noticed the glass broke to form the butterfly until you mentioned it. Ive seen the alternate ending (which you should check out because the sequel coming out is based off the alternate version) the infected alpha forms the butterfly on the glass with hand smudges on the glass. I also never noticed there was very limited soundtrack to this movie until you mentioned it.
After three years of not seeing another human being, you would be doing the same thing too with the mannequins or you would go crazy. He’s actually doing that so he doesn’t go crazy. It makes a lot of sense.
I like both but when I first seen this when it came out I did not expect will to die in the end but I think it made it different then most other zombie/whatever movies lol. But the ending line this is his legend is why I like the original better I think 😂

I prefer this ending, where he sacrifices himself.
I know these aren't zombie movie recommendations, but they are somewhat related since they deal with Virus outbreaks. Absolute must-see are Contagion and V for Vendetta... I challenge anyone to see both of those films after having lived thru the 2020 lockdowns, and not be shaking your head and glaring around conspiratorially >.>

This movie is creepy as hell every time, the dark corners when he looks for the dog sam and find those creatures damn, this movie is very good imagine having those pale looking humans who running fast with that mouth in the Walking dead instead for the zombies i think the Walking dead might be even scaryer then
this movie is great right up the ending when it was decided to give this story the "hero" ending. In the book and an alternate ending it is made much clearer that the "vampires" are actually way more intelligent than shown here and Robert Neville is the "Legend" that comes at daytime to steal their people for experiments. Neville is the past to the new species that inherited the earth. Making the dark seekers into mindless rage zombies was terrible. But at least the acting in this movie is top tier.
