Your mahindra engines will fail in no time in those crazy areas where this SHERP does an amazing job. Not to mention, SHERP is meant to have a light engine with low power to have extra fuel efficiency, so that it can go on for days without any contact with outside world and need for refuelling. Mahindra engines are good for what they are but they will fail quickly in the use SHERP has.

Fortuner 4*4 makes sense only if you want to go off roading. Else BMW/Merc/Volvo are good enough in that price range. Jeep compass 4*4 comes under a different segment altogether. Good enough for mild off roading.
