This was part of the punishment, women would bare labor pains, and men tend to the earth. So yeah........for Jim Caviezel? SUCK IT UP! Now here is where the real truth comes in; Jesus came to earth yes so that his sacrifice could be made a new covenant. Jesus was here to remind us about god, through him he is the way, and that no man is above "him" or the heavenly father. When he died on the cross he cried, "Forgive them father, for they know not what they do. (Or have done)" The main thing here Christ was here with a purpose, to teach, guide and make sure the will of the prophets and scripture was fore filled. But I find it appalling that he can say that in playing Christ he knows "everything" about him. To me a bit of Hollywood portrayal. Keep in mind this was an interpretation by Director Mel Gibson. The other thing here to keep in mind that yes, Christ did suffer, during the Temptation, during his ministry, and most of all prayer when it was revealed he had to give up his life which when he died, it shook the earth. Christ feared and sweated blood, so that should tell you how powerful the revelation was. But it was "after" his Resurrection, and after his ascension to heaven did even the miracles come forth. Including the disciples speaking new tongue. I don't think his interpretation is that bad, it's just some things are a bit watered down.

Stephen was stoned to death but saw his Savior before he was dead. Antipas didn't scream, as other victims of the brass bull did, but was singing praises to his God even as his body gave up. The apostles thought they were undeserving of persecution for His Name. Peter refused to be crucified right-side up. He said He would never leave us or forsake us, including during our deaths. He said that He would be with us in our martyrdom, and He is faithful, always, if we call on Him, and live in His Word. My daily life is one of years and years of persecution but I hardly notice the pain of it because I'm busy walking with Him and checking my flesh. The tares are confounded by my joy and peace, that they are always trying to buy somehow from somewhere or someone. Your comment seemed rather flippant to me, a Christian.

There are more scriptures to reference. I suggest you study this yourself. In the end times, it will the wheat who will be tested. It will separate them from the tares. You can read the parable of the wheat and the tares found in Matthew 13:24-30. Also, Yeshua told us to count the cost before following Him. Luke 14:28-30. Hope you accept Yeshua as your Lord and Savior. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Part of accepting Him is picking up your execution stake. amen. in the epistle of pilot when Jesus was brought before Pilot the Romans guards who were holding up the roman standard all fell to their knees as the standard of Rome all bowed to Jesus our lord as he entered the gate. Pilot was so angry he had Jesus sent back out and doubled the guards holding the Romans standard with the Eagle atop and again they could not prevent them from bowing to our Lord. Jesus didn't say anything because he didn't have too. they were in shock as to what they just witnessed, Pilot the guards were even threatened with death if the bowed the flag to Jesus but they couldn't stop it. it's an amazing tale of many things the bible left out. but I alway believed we are to read them. like Enoch, book of jubilees and Jasher. all hold secrets most pastors only speculate upon. one of the greatest blessing I ever received was reading these books.

Only incidents that were supported by more than one text writer, or by Roman documents, and written within 100 years after the crucifixion, were included in the Christian text. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, supported each other. The other texts had no other support, or contradicted the texts which did. Just so you know, there are many very early "christian" texts which were not canonized Some claim that Jesus taught reincarnation, was a womanizer, and/or involved himself in homosexual relationships.. Those didn't make it into the Christian canon either. If this incident had actually happened, there would have been third party (Roman) documents to support it. The Romans were meticulous record keepers. There are a lot of nice little stories that were not included in the New Testament. They were not included because the church fathers were going for some semblance of credibility.

Jesus was here to remind us about god, through him he is the way, and that no man is above "him" or the heavenly father. When he died on the cross he cried, "Forgive them father, for they know not what they do. (Or have done)" The main thing here Christ was here with a purpose, to teach, guide and make sure the will of the prophets and scripture was fore filled.
But I find it appalling that he can say that in playing Christ he knows "everything" about him. To me a bit of Hollywood portrayal. Keep in mind this was an interpretation by Director Mel Gibson. The other thing here to keep in mind that yes, Christ did suffer, during the Temptation, during his ministry, and most of all prayer when it was revealed he had to give up his life which when he died, it shook the earth. Christ feared and sweated blood, so that should tell you how powerful the revelation was. But it was "after" his Resurrection, and after his ascension to heaven did even the miracles come forth. Including the disciples speaking new tongue.
I don't think his interpretation is that bad, it's just some things are a bit watered down.

He's preaching to the tares, and that's likely what he is, also. Churches are full of tares. I see no need to warn them of the results of their own evils. More than any other group, it is the tares that know full well what their future is, seeing that they live out their hypocrisy right in front of the Word of God being preached in their faces. Tares are my primary persecutors, they are not my brothers and sisters in Christ.

That is how it is when one prays continuously, as we are commanded. We are told to pray unceasingly, so that we can walk with God, have that relationship with Him, that communion that He covets, and we need for every facet of our being. It is worth everything to be a Christian, and it is not all pain and suffering. In fact, even in death, Christians tend to see heaven before they're dead. Stephen was stoned to death but saw his Savior before he was dead. Antipas didn't scream, as other victims of the brass bull did, but was singing praises to his God even as his body gave up. The apostles thought they were undeserving of persecution for His Name. Peter refused to be crucified right-side up. He said He would never leave us or forsake us, including during our deaths. He said that He would be with us in our martyrdom, and He is faithful, always, if we call on Him, and live in His Word.
My daily life is one of years and years of persecution but I hardly notice the pain of it because I'm busy walking with Him and checking my flesh. The tares are confounded by my joy and peace, that they are always trying to buy somehow from somewhere or someone.

There are more scriptures to reference. I suggest you study this yourself. In the end times, it will the wheat who will be tested. It will separate them from the tares. You can read the parable of the wheat and the tares found in Matthew 13:24-30.
Also, Yeshua told us to count the cost before following Him. Luke 14:28-30.
Hope you accept Yeshua as your Lord and Savior. He is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. Part of accepting Him is picking up your execution stake. Being a Christian isn't about health, wealth, and sunshine and lollipops. It's about loving Yeshua with every fiber in your body even if there is suffering. It's also about putting someone else's interests above your own.

Only incidents that were supported by more than one text writer, or by Roman documents, and written within 100 years after the crucifixion, were included in the Christian text. Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, supported each other. The other texts had no other support, or contradicted the texts which did. Just so you know, there are many very early "christian" texts which were not canonized Some claim that Jesus taught reincarnation, was a womanizer, and/or involved himself in homosexual relationships.. Those didn't make it into the Christian canon either. If this incident had actually happened, there would have been third party (Roman) documents to support it. The Romans were meticulous record keepers. There are a lot of nice little stories that were not included in the New Testament. They were not included because the church fathers were going for some semblance of credibility.

The word tell us to pray that we may be counted worthy to escape all these things that is coming.

June is when pentacost starts.
that's interesting, because I've had thoughts about June---something happening then and not Christ's return. Not yet, too much has yet to happen--He said that "all these things" (meaning the signs He gave) we will see, and then that generation (meaning us now) will not pass before His return. Interesting thoughts today for me--we've raised our children teaching them that they would be the generation who would usher in Christ. 30+ yrs ago, and now seeing all of these things happening are just amazing. Hold on to your faith, be steadfast, know the Savior and stay close to Him with all your heart, might, mind and soul. :-)
Dee, it's starts with *Jesus*. He is the Savior of the world. Not the love of your family & friends. The love of *God & Jesus*. Love came down & bled out for your soul, so you could be saved.
Accept *Jesus*, repent of your sins & ask Him to guide you through what will be these end of days.
Then get into a good, Non Denominational Church & Bible study & learn all about your Savior. The one who made heaven & eternal life, all possible. For anyone who asks.

God's given him a stage to clearly express what side he's on.
The critics need to take heed on what side their words are going towards.

Wow, he really doesn't speak like all the other Hollywood actors, he means what he says, and says what he mean. Once you play the role of Jesus, there was no way he was ever going to be the same. God changed that man's life, even the Pastor sitting next to him didn't expect that, I think he looked a little stunned at what Jim Caviezel was saying, you could feel the spirit of God flowing through him. What he said was correct, now is the time for Christians to stand fast, we cannot afford to lose our heaven destiny, because we let the temporary cares & trinkets of this world pull us away.

@@newking70 l wonder if that photo of Jim Caviezel with his hand over his eye is an old photo he took before he did the Passion or after, because if it was after, then what a shame. Christianity is not a club, it's serious, Jesus died & rose again to save mankind from their sins, people have died because they followed Jesus. Heaven is a real place and Hell is a real place. This is nothing to play with...and pretend...
