    Rain Country family, let's do everything we can to get Heidi and Mr. Rain to 1 million subscribers. I see over 600 people have seen the video when I was watching, but only 300 gave her thumbs up, shared, or made a comment. Thumbs up is so easy, and you don't have to comment, but you can give her a smily face, a heart, something to help her push her videos to more people.

    Thank you, Heidi, for more good information on Mica Powders. Sometimes we need to be snarky and call out people and do it in the name of the LORD JESUS CHRIST! Heidi, as a diabetic I can use the honey better! I can't us maple syrup as that sure raises my blood sugar! people need to test it out and use very lightly. I can't use Stevia as it upsets my stomach and I use the plant. Love your Rooster! I listen to my Roosters all the time and it is so refreshing. Thank you, Heidi, for another great video.

    As my daughters grow up and become interested in makeup, I have found mica powders to be so helpful. I can make them makeup without all the crazy and harmful chemicals. A little goes a long way. I have made them such pretty lip glosses. They like to help me and they choose their own colors to combine so it's also fun for them and at the same time, they are learning. I just make a lip oil and add a pinch of mica. So simple. And if you add a little beeswax, you can make a more solid product, like a chapstick but with color. Even just adding mica to coconut oil is enough and it is nourishing to the lips. I always add castor oil to my blend. We all enjoy it.

    Honey is usually extracted in stainless Steel extractors (unless you do it manually with your bare hands) and strained in stainless strainers. At least that’s what mine is. So even if you buy it in a jar, it has likely been in stainless steel. Which is perfectly fine.

    First of all, nice sunglasses - your future's so bright, you gotta wear shades! (might be dating myself with that old song). Secondly, you mention of how many metals there are made me curious so I did a search - didn't find a definitive answer, but based on a periodic table I found, if I read it right there are about 75...I believe that's straight metals, not alloys, but I could be wrong....and since I'm not a science geek, I may have read the periodic table wrong too, but it looked to me like 75-ish.

    I'm so excited for the mica video. I rarely where makeup anymore, but as I'm transitioning from coloring my hair to letting it go gray, I believe I may want to have some options for makeup. I actually wish I had never started covering the gray to begin with. I do use a more natural coloring product, but it's still not good for your health. Note: I started graying shortly after high school, so it was easy to develop that habit. And then I used the excuse that I was an "older" mom. Now I just need to bite the bullet I guess.

    There is a surprising amount of people who think that honey contains no sugar because it does not come from the sugar cane plant. There are SO many "sugar-free" recipes that use honey instead and when questioned why the authors claim it was sugar-free, every author says "Oh, i don't see that as sugar." This is why chemistry and nutritional science classes are essential in high school. Dates, honey - two of THE most highest sugar content natural foods - they don't see as sugar. It's appalling, and can be fatal if someone is new to mandatory no-sugar diet and trying to research what substitutions they can use.

    • @RainCountryHomestead
      @RainCountryHomestead  9 місяців тому +1

      I find it odd as I know we learned that at a young age. Sugar is sugar whether it comes from sugar beets, sugar cane, honey, maple syrup, coconut, fruit, et cetera. Some is healthier of course, but to a diabetic, it needs to be seen as all the same.

      I have only tried the two I mentioned and already have far more than I will ever use but for those looking for truly natural and ethical micas, I am all for people sharing those companies

      If one could see into my list of those hidden from my channel, they would see just how very long it has become over the years, ha! The funny thing about UA-cam is none of these people would know they are hidden. They can still comment but they are the only ones who can see their comments. I often wonder how many comments are under my videos that none of us can see because those return offenders just gleefully keep spewing their hate but they are the only ones that have any idea it is even there. haha

      Some people hate just to hate. I have had people who were regular followers suddenly turn on me for no reason. They still watch but only to dislike. Out of those there are a few that will continue to find something rude to say, the repeat offenders like that are the ones that get hidden. I do not understand why they choose to hate me or why they continue to follow me if they do hate me. It is bizarre.
