Fall Themed Buttercream Flower Cupcakes Tutorial

  • In this weeks video, I'm sharing how I created these lovely fall themed buttercream flowers. We have four different designs and they work great with any colour scheme.
    If you struggle to get the angling/position right, how about practicing on some grease proof paper and that way you can reuse the buttercream over and over again, until you're happy to move on to the cupcake.
    The recipe for the cupcakes (makes 12)
    175g Butter
    175g Sugar
    3 Eggs
    175g Self Raising Flour
    1 tsp Vanilla Extract/Essence
    Cream the butter and sugar together until light and pale. Add in the eggs one at a time, mixing in between and then incorporate the flour until just combined. Add in the vanilla and then scoop into cupcake cases and bake in a preheated over on 150oC fan/170oC conventional/325oF/gas mark 3 for 22-24 mins until golden brown. Test with a skewer to make sure they are done.
    Remove from the tin and cool on a cooling rack.
