@franciscogutierrez5016 battery is subjective depends on how you use your phone. If you manage your ram, and not have so many apps run in the background, it's manageable.
One peformance thing that's overlooked is the radio. The Fold 6 has the same Wi-Fi radio as the Fold 3. The SE has the same as the S24 ultra and for those of us with high speed, Wi-Fi 7 enabled homes, its appreciated
Used the Fold 4 for two years and my biggest issue with it is the narrow cover display. It's geat for one-hand use but it sucks to type on. Even the inner display with the wider/broken up keyboard didn't help. It's great to see Samsung finally making the cover display the size of a regular phone's display while also being as thin as a regular phone
I know I'm in the minority, but I like the narrow screen on my Z Fold 6. My work phone is an A55 and it feels bulky and huge for no reason. I tried asking my employer if I could use the second SIM and set up a work profile on my Z Fold and they said no :/
Agreed. Also I would never again buy a phone that didn't have pen support. In fact my first Fold was the 3 when they introduced the pen and that was what sold me.
Agreed. No need for a big front screen when you can unfold the phone. One hand use is so much more enjoyable on the fold 6 front screen compared to the regular big sized phones on the market.
its normal to have a thinner phone when the size increases. you have more space to fit in the components, especially that the battery did not increase.
Is the fold 7 going to be like the SE I'm here in rumors that it's going to be the same old same old? Right now the full six the sales are ridiculous so I was thinking about getting it so I have a really strong upgrade credit when the new one comes out and 9 months!!
He did not mention that if you are in the US the Fold SE's 5G will not work and you are limited to LTE only! Also, the Fold SE is $3500!! and with his discount only knocking off $66 of that entire total. I am happy with my brand-new Fold 6 from Samsung for $800 after trading in my iPhone 12 Pro Max that I have not used in 2 years. The Fold SE was a good attempt but hopefully Samsung makes one that works for US for far les in price as well!
In based in Australia and the 5G works here just fine. If I was US based and I experienced it, i would have reported it. The Fold 6 is a great deal. I wanted to compare the experiences of both for anyone who was interested in the Fold SE
I hope they use the w25 black gold design next year and make a camera version and another version that focuses more on battery 5500 carbon battery like Honor , 65 watt charging, everything in the box global , stylus s pen on both screens like Honor Magic that's thin, and add things like headphone jack and micro sd card and make a 2 tb model. I'm telling you if they do all that it will be historic globally . The sales in China and South Korea prove consumers are hungry for that innovation like the way DJ Koh ran it. In terms of design the special edition w25 is absolutely one of my favorite devices this year and it reminds me of my s23 ultra in many ways.
The fold 6 pics actually look better because the background is clearer. The SE might look more artsy, but you simple ARE losing information and focus in the picture. Made up by the macro feature? I think not. I REALLY hope the tweak the camera software on the SE before bringing it here. Also, no S-pen compatibility is a complete failure. It is a MUST on a phone with this layout.
@TheSparkynuts I'm not saying make it 16:9 7" but 18:9 it's the sweet spot between a 16:9 and 21:9, the larger width would take better advantage of the spen and give more room for a bigger battery. Wider phones don't heat up as much as their is more room for heat to spread. The narrower the device, the more heat gets cramped. For those who care about one hand get a small screen, the advantage of bigger display gets taken away, they are trying to keep the small phone form factor alive just stretching the aspect ratio.
@davidz2400 ofcourse its better than the zfold 2/3 and 4/5 and even the zfold 6 se it's better but still not the narrower side and not traditional slab phone, feels like Sony xerpia one mark 5 the outer display.
Im using a z fold 4 now for two years...they replaced my inner display and hinge...great for a little while and now again it does not open fully and the inner display protective screen cover is starting to peel off on the crease🫠🫠🫠
I will take my Z Fold 6 over the Z Fold SE Everyday and twice on Sunday! Although smaller, definitely better build quality and S Pen support is a nice touch. The screen seems better tuned than the SE variant as well.
Losing the SPen on the SE was the reason I didn't get it. I had and still have the Flip 4 512Gb, Fold 4 1TB, S23 Ultra and now the S24 Ultra 1Tb. I still have all phones apart from the S23 Ultra. Waiting for the Fold 7. Hopefully it will be thinner, wider, better cameras and still keep SPen feature and maybe, just maybe, they can make the spen internal too like the S24 Ultra.
I have my UA-cam channel and i used an z fold three untill September when i bought the z fold 6. Ill never buy a regular phone ever again only z folds. I love how i edit and post and take photos and videos only using my z fold 6
The fact that you don't want to open the fold se is what's gonna kill the fold. This is why I wanted them to keep it narrow it kinda forces ppl to ise that inner display.
Yeah. It's intentionally curated by Samsung to have the two displays work together to make it one cohesive experience, instead of one normal experience that then becomes something else
The Fold 6 opened completely flat when new. Over time the hinge gets debris stuck in there and can stop it from opening flat. I'm pretty sure it can be cleared out, I've just never tried
To everyone using the "No S Pen Is A Deal Breaker!" Excuse OBVIOUSLY Samsung, if/when they release the Fold 7, is going to have the beloved S Pen gimmick put back in They're not going to LEAVE it out of the 7 The 7, I imagine it being essentially an SE, but with S Pen functionality 🖊️ (Which is an overrated gimmick that most people don't use --- Which is why Samsung removed it as a cost cutting measure for the SE) It'll be back though, no worries at all
I like the narrow front screen because I use swipe to type. This is what people don't get about the front screen most times. I wish the SE had a bigger screen usage when it landscape mode. The Fold 6 actually uses more of its screen in landscape which bugs me about the SE (bigger black bars when in landscape).
He's not . Many people including myself, prefer the more narrow screen. The SE is nice and won't deny that I wouldn't use it, but I always like how the Z series are built. Plus the S-pen missing is an unfortunate miss. I'm all for having both models available, that's win win.
It's not 50/50. I think it is more 60/40, but I do think there are more people that want a larger screen. I'm not one of them and we don't know what will happen when fodables go mainstream.
@DENVEROUTDOORMAN I completely agree! They need to drop the price off the smaller one too about 1100/1200 and the big one too 1500/1600 if they want to make good sales
@cab818 nope way overpriced way too fragile and way lacking...smaller means packing in limited space which means CHARGE MORE MONEY for more work required!!! No S Pen with Bluetooth unless you pay $100 or more sooo not a win
How come the Honor magic v3 is a looot thinner and has the stylus support? Surely if the Chinese can do it Samsung should be able to as well? Samsung is lack of innovation, they just become a second Apple throwing out the same phone after year by year having the bear minimum changed. The fold 6 is nearly identical in specs as the Fold 5 was. These manufacturers deserve to go down the sink, no one should buy their product.
They've used a new type of battery tech it seems to fit more in. Something I guess Samsung weren't ready for or prepared to take a risk on just yet (Samsung and battery is still a sore point)
I say to Samsung, listen to what your consumers say and give them what they want. At the end of the day it's them who you have to please and then try to seduce other people. But sometimes we have the impression that Samsung does as it pleases. And what's more, they have this nasty habit of copying Apple. Samsung doesn't have a marketing department? As a trained marketer, this is the question I sometimes ask myself. Normally we start from the needs of the consumer to provide them with a product that meets their expectations. Finally, with fierce competition, Samsung really has an interest in questioning itself. 2025 will be a decisive year I think.
S pen support is a deal breaker. I absolutely love my fold 6 Navy. Best phone I've ever had by a long mile.
How much battery are you getting? I have the s24ultra but I miss the big screen so much
Battery is much better than fold 4 or previous, but still a few hours shorter than ultra series. More than enough for 99 percent of people imo
@franciscogutierrez5016 battery is subjective depends on how you use your phone. If you manage your ram, and not have so many apps run in the background, it's manageable.

Very true!!
Pretty Muuucchhh…
They just wanted to make easy money for a few more years
The Motorola Dynatac should have been the Fold SE smh 🥱
I'd say Fold5 should have been like Fold SE.
I'd say the zfold 3 was fine for what is was this should've been the zfold 4
Hopefully the z fold 7 improves on the udc and not get rid of it, anti relfective display, and bigger battery(use silicon carbon batteries).
Nice honest review thank you this should have been the full six I will be buying the fold seven if it's this size
Me too
What about sound, microphone?
I know the s pen does not work on the inner displace. Does it works on the outer displace?
But when does it release in the U.S though?
I don't believe we in the U.S. are getting the SE
Great video, loving the SE. Also bought on Mikes store. Did he include the Newcastle shirt with the phone haha

No problem!

The fold6 looks brighter then the foldSE... especially the whites...
Been waiting for this video to drop. keen.

big problem with the fold is dust getting into the hidge. how can we mitigate that?

Its still narrow. I wish they could make a bit wider like the s24 ultra.
That'd make the phone way too big. This is the perfect happy medium IMO
