I watched your most recent videos and have started watching some of your older ones for motivation. I know you have decided to step away from running on the cross country team, but seeing you be physically active in your videos really motivates me to exercise. I like to exercise for both my physical and mental health, and have finally settled into a steady routine. Thank you so much for the inspiration!
Congratulations on 250 UA-cam videos, that is a lots of awesome and amazing content, but I love how you have documented your journeys along the way, wow your day was super busy, and your dedication and enthusiasm for your subjects really shines through, always so proud of you 👍🏼
Omgggg Tia it’s been a while since I watch any of your vids because I’ve been busy but it’s amazing to hear your Spanish progress!! I’m a native speaker and honestly anyone would understand you perfectly at this point :) keep it up! xx
I love the beautiful old buildings at Yale. It looks like a great place to study. The bells are so loud. Do they chime at specific times? You look so happy in this video, I guess that is partly due to it being springtime. I'm an oldie (64), but really enjoy watching your videos. It must be tough being so far away from your parents. Hopefully you will be seeing them during the summer break. All the best Tia!
hey tia, could u do a vid on your book recs/books that you've so far read this year. also i love ur channel so much you are just so positive and kind. i really want to get into yale for track/xc so your videos have helped a lot to inspire me xx 😘
Yale athletes almost killed me. In 1964 freshmen before the first class had to take some physical tests, one required swimming 100 yards, four laps. The other 3 boys swimming with me in my test unknown to me then were on the freshman swim team, which that year broke world records several times. I had no idea about Yale swimmers being world class. So we take off, I emerge to see the other 3 already way ahead. I just assumed I was extremely pathetic at swimming, so I tried desperately to catch up. In the second lap I was already exhausted, so much that I sank for a bit and came up in the wrong lane. As I came up I was hit by one of the others swimming back toward me. So that caused me back under again. But I still attributed this to the others being normal and me being pathetic. So I continued to try desperately to swim faster. By the end I was too tired to be able to be able to even pull myself out of the pool. It took me five minutes to get the strength to pull myself out of the pool. I walked about ten feet before I violently threw up and fell down. Fortunately I did not have a heart attack and I was fine in about 15 minutes. But be careful! Yale athletes might almost kill you too.
If my school's library looked like that, I might have actually gone to it. I usually studied either sitting outside or in the union building if the weather wasn't great. A bit at the on campus Starbucks too.
Thanks for sharing Tia! Just wondering what the rules are for masks. Noticed that sometimes you have a mask on when studying ect and sometimes you don’t. Also, are you hoping to get to the Olympics one day for running or do you have other aspirations / careers in mind??
glad you enjoyed! new mask rules at yale are that you only have to wear masks in class, on public transport, and in yale health. no masks needed anywhere else, including in libraries, study spaces, dining halls, etc. so I can choose whether or not to wear a mask while studying. most people don't wear one now, but as the room got more busy I decided to put one on ☺️ regarding running, honestly I'm just going to see where I end up at the end of college and decide from there!
@@TiaChitty Hi Tia. I'm from Spain and your spanish is AMAZING. You just need a little bit of speed while you're talking but that's it. Love your videos!!
first view! wooo! never been this early before. Tia, I'm currently in year nine in Australia, and was wondering what your advice would be for international students applying to Yale from your experience.
Tia might have some more advice for you when she sees your comment, but in the meantime you could go and watch some of the videos Tia made about the whole process already on her channel. Good luck!
hii, hope you enjoyed the video!! as Emily mentioned in her reply, I have a bunch of videos on this from 2020, so I'd definitely recommend watching those as they have more info than I could give in a comment and the application process was also fresh in my mind at that stage 🤗 for now, I would say to make sure you start early and leave yourself enough time to perfect your application - they take a long time to write!
heyyy, I love your UA-cam account so much, it's so informative, especially for a girl who's dream is to study at Yale and she lives in America! I was just wondering, what are your majors?
This is literally my dream!! I’m in Australia and i really wanna go to college in America🙂 I’m just curious, is the academic side of yale as tough as people paint it out to be?
Ooohhhh if you find out more about “the secret societies of Yale” I’d love to hear. Although I guess you won’t that’s why they’re called “secret” 😂. Great vlog! 🇦🇺
