- idk how this video ended up being SO long but have fun watching this literal tv episode!! and also if you haven't been keeping up, WE JUST HIT TEN THOUSAND SUBSCRIBERS WOOOOO!!!!!! 🌟🌟 as a celebration, I'm uploading 3 videos this weekend - today (friday), saturday and sunday! when I announced that, I forgot that I have to completely pack up, move out of my college room and move to a building on the other side of campus this weekend... so hopefully I can still get all the videos up (I'm sure I can do it for you)! This gives me nostalgia for when I went to uni at this semi elite uni for a semester in Paris, OMG. Just the being overseas, the rainy cold weather, studying, old buildings, getting excited about snow... I'm also from Australia and I work 9-5 now.

also 1) suggestion! you should get those sticky handing wall things and put one on the back of your door for your face mask so it’s right in front of you when you leave your room
2) the weather thing is just how the US is. we had a day where it was 18C and then less than a week later it was snowing. It freaked me out. But honestly I like the cold US weather WAYYYY more than Perth. Plus the cold weather did WONDERS for clearing my skin.

Those highlights are the best. There erasable!! And there pastel lol I have a bunch of them for school! Oh, best colored pens are the bic gelocity!! I love taking notes with them. They never skip or do anything weird.
3 degrees would be such a warm day here in Canada!!😅Make the most of it before the actual winter comes 😬Not sure how cold it will get in New Haven but it's so hard to run in Ontario when it's like -20 out ☃️(I moved from NZ so I get how hard it is to adjust to the winters!!) Get some good thermals for running!!
I’m from Melbourne and am very jealous! I went on a tour of Yale a few years ago and just loved it. If I had gone at 17 instead of a few weeks before graduating from my 7 year double degree, I definitely would have wanted to become a Bulldog!

If you're still having trouble remembering your face mask, either stick a note or hang the mask itself on the back of your door!
You can get Australian foods in certain supermarkets. Some places have an international section with specific regions. They will carry vegemite, Australian chocolates etc.

I’ve been fascinated with Yale campus since I watched Gilmore Girls 4 years ago even though it wasn’t actually filmed there haha but I must say from the bits you’ve shown so far it looks amazing and beautiful 😊
But I feel ya with classes ending at 9pm, I had that went I went to Griffith uni and then I’d have to drive 20-30 minutes home haha

Oh yes those late classes are the worst, I had to do it a few times the 3 and a half years I was there and I had a couple of 8am classes too haha

did you attend uni in Aus? be interesting to compare if you did. apparently the US unis have way more assessment then Aussie unis maybe it just depends on what you study though. I can't imagine having to live at uni either. Interesting vlogs!! :)

Cool Video! Just wondering if all those plastic forks and knives etc. is normal in the US? Wouldn’t ist be better just to buy one set of proper cutlery, not only better for the environment but also nicer to eat with, better to cut etc..
thank you!! no it’s definitely not normal - just because of the pandemic. normally the dining hall has proper cutlery, which everyone uses and it’s then washed. but it might be a good idea for me to go out and buy my own set at the moment!

I was wondering how you were finding your different subjects. It’s tricky to know what you want to do with your life. Keep in mind that you can do one thing now and always do something else later down the track.
When you do the languages do you have to do the same one for 3 semesters, or could you do an introductory course for 3 different ones?

yes there’s so many things I’m interested in but the only thing I’m really passionate about at the moment is my social media stuff - which I absolutely love. I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing and see what happens!

In your college application you said you wanted todo neurology and science to help your sister and help people ? Was that just to get into Yale? What a waste of money if you want to just do UA-cam
no, that was what I wanted to do at that time. I’ve been interested in many different things at different points in my life. one thing I’ve always been interested is developmental paediatrics. I’ve also been interested in law, science, and a number of other careers. at the time I was writing my yale application, developmental paediatrics and the science in that area was what I was most interested in, so I wrote about that. I had applied to all universities in Australia for biomedical sciences as this was the plan I thought I most likely wanted to follow. since starting college, I’ve realised that this path probably isn’t the one for me - I don’t love it as much as I thought I would. one of the things I’m most passionate about now is social media. maybe this will change, maybe it won’t. I still want to help people - I can, and will, do this in whichever career I choose. it’s been a year since I wrote my application and I’ve changed a lot. I’d appreciate it if you could be more polite when commenting on my videos in the future. saying that going to college a ‘waste of money’ is simply untrue. I’m 18 years old. I don’t have my life figured out. I’m allowed to change my mind on what I want to do as many times as I like and these sorts of comments can be hurtful x
