Thank you for this comment ❤️ I was shocked in this interview bc I have never seen a latino man share such vulnerable thoughts. We have to normalize opening up and healing these traumas
This whole interview made me cry. Not because I feel bad, but I do, but because it takes a lot to be honest and vulnerable about real shit that’s happened to you and things you are going through. I’m going to keep Nicky in my prayers for better days. Sending him a huge hug.

Im 45 and remember growing up in Puerto Rico during the birth of Reggeaton. Went to all the Festivals of each town (Fiestas Patronales), Beach parties, House parties you name it. Seeing the people you grew up with up close and personal for free might I add, and bond with, to than see them many years later be world wide and achieving so much makes one feel proud inside. from where they are from, have been and gone thru in life. Hard to explain. I too was born outside of PR but raised there since i was 10 yrs old. I too always felt at times like I was not neither from here nor there. That made me leave and seek my path. Nicky is one artist I who I looked to for inspiration knowing I see a lot of myself in him. Boricua hasta en la Luna! Orgulloso de ti brother.

I dont have, never had social media. I last saw you on the Netflix doc. I also saw you walking South down Fairfax as I was driving up about to hit Melrose street. I spotted you with your peeps. I recognized you and yelled out "Nicky!" You lifted your arms and looked my way and said yo! I kept driving and felt so happy it was you, that was enough to be able to give you a shout out like that. Your music is dope. You are dope. Keep on keeping on. Its nice to see you again. Much love.

You are a genuine and amazing human being Nicky☝🏼🙏🏼💯👏🏼Thank you for bringing Nicky Jam on your show Jay. You took the time to listen without interruptions and asked excellent questions. This was truly a great interview.🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
I swear to god this is why I respect, follow and love Nicky. His story resonates with me SO MUCHHHHH and the fact that he himself isn’t fully understood at times makes me feel like I’m not crazy. People with traumatic experiences do have mental breakdowns and anxiety! I FUCKS WITH YOU NICKY
I have seen Jay Shetty grow up, the best thing he could have done was to do this interview where you can see the best representative that a Latino could want. Thank you both for providing this space for reflection.
Nicky, you have no idea the difference and the good impact your words have made to so many of us. People don’t talk about mental health the way you do it. The perspective we have about famous people is wrong, media make us think that your life is wonderful. This was a great talk!
Jay Shetty, sin falta de respeto. Las dos entrevistas de Nicky Jam el Artista en su canal y Lewis Howes muy buen hechos. Mi corazon y alma me dice que el suyo llego mas con intention y facilidad. Nicky Jam was comfortable with you & the interview was beyond excellent. I believe yours was first. I am Latina huge Nicky Jam fan. This interview is going to go VIRAL and worldwide. J. Shetty you bring a spiritual environment. Gracias
FINALLY! Nicky JAM Always Spits out nothing but the TRUTH OF HIS LIFE JOURNEY! Love his DOCUMENTARY! He went thru the fire and got to the other side! Stay humble with an Open Heart & Stay your true self and keeping it Real! Nicky Jam. Great interview thank you Guys! ❤ 💯🇵🇷
What a great interview! His realness, humbleness, sincerity really touched me. I met him once on the streets of NY and my husband stopped him for a picture and he was the nicest person! God bless him and keep him in the right path. He has so much to offer the world! And like he said…..we all need a hug!
This is a great artist. I saw him in concert some years back in Florida and I was floored that he could sing. Unexpected. I also saw a clip of one of his daughter’s and her voice was through the roof. Nicky Jam is open and I appreciate being able to listen to his story. Thank you. Nicky Jam fan for life 👍🏼🎊🎈🎉🥳
Nicky Jam es ejemplo de que los sueños se cumplen sin importar cuan dificil haya sido! Empezó de cero y lo logró!! Se que algún dia lo lograré en la música también🇵🇷
Nicky jam is a good person. Life has handed him some bad hands but he has kept his big heart through it all. Blessings to him. I hope he finds help to heal from the trauma.
I’m sober 3 years and really enjoyed this interview. He was so vulnerable and open, this showed me a side of him I didn’t see before. He’s gone through so much and I hope he finds his friend Billy and they get to catch up! I think it takes great strength to openly speak about all the things he did so after seeing this I’m an even bigger fan! 🙌🏼
This helped me so much! I saw my entire life flash before my eyes as you retold your story. It was so ironic how the anxiety, the past, my friends being my family more than my own family. My entire family is addicts. I am also an addict Overcoming trauma Regaining awareness etc, the emotions, triggers, all of it, the realness, the real reality of life. I’ve done the same and also smoke. I’ve been trying to stop. Over and over. I’ve learned to accept and embrace who I am through all moments. Even the inconveniences! Thank you so much for this story! Life altering experience About to be married in 7 days 4 kids Living life better than I have ever in my entire life
Congratulations 🎉please stay positive an motivated. I completely understand you… you’re doing it!! Stay focus, do it for you… and yes embrace and love yourself!! God bless, you got this..🙏🏻👍😊
I LOVE Nicki Jam. Been a fan of his since I was a teenager. He’s one of the best to ever do it! ❤ Nicki I know you don’t like to be put on a pedestal and want your fans to see you as human and we do. We want you to stay on a good path because we’ve seen your highs and lows and we don’t want you going back to a dark place. We want you to do well. We’re rooting for you! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I went on an emotional roller coaster of emotions listening to Nicky Jam….. I love his heart, his vulnerability, the honesty in which he intricately opens his heart and soul to us, he’s a true artist but most importantly an amazing perfectly imperfect human being… we love you Nicky❤❤❤
Nicky Jam will forever be one of my favorite artist! He opens up and is so honest with himself. That’s why he’s so successful because he knows his failures and where he must built and correct to succeed.
Nicky, so humble of you to say you don't want to be Noones teacher. Instead, what I'm getting is that you want to continue to be a student of life. I think that's beautiful. Thank you for sharing your deepest feelings❤
I’ve been listening Nicky since 2018 though I don’t understand the lyrics but I enjoy his music so much and till today I listen to him.. Music has no language ❤ and get to know you through this podcast u won my heart🍻..
Nicky is resilient, life throughs us challenges and we fall short, we are human. Not matter, Nicky always comes back. We fight sometime at steps in the day, minutes in the day, but those who love us will be there. But taking out the things that you know you don't need will keep us grounded. Prayers to you. Copper
This is so important for him to open up about and get off his chest. There is freedom when we bring things to light. He needs peace and freedom from the things that have a hold on him.
I don't get tired of seeing this man talk after all his interviews everywhere! I love Nicky Jam ♥️ siempre! I'm a fan since tus ojos me estan Mirando yo no soy tu Marido. I grew up with classic reggeaton because of my family. I am in love with old school reggeaton and now 😍 I'm the same with my sense of humor in bad situations So happy to see him ❤
I lived in the same building in Miami where he lived although we weren’t friends and chatted when he and his friends would come play basketball he would always say hello and be very polite. My hat is off to this guy.
Best thing to do against his anxiety is to go into a monastery where he tries to stay in the present moment for a month or 2 with people who are on the same path. Your life will change when your memory of your vision in the future is stronger than the memories of the past
Nicky jam is such an humble and honest as i see, i am a big fan of his music. Respect for his hard work and as a person. Thanks for the podcast as well man!!
Jay. Thank you for giving Nicky this platform to express himself. I am Puertorican and feel so proud of him for overcoming all of those hardships. It brakes my heart to know that there are many other kids going through the same poverty , drug / hood situation. On another note, I wish Nicky would get extra support to deal with his past trauma ( Complex PTSD) There are so many new modalities that can help to regulate his nervous system. He has the means to get a good Theraphist. I feel that can help with having tools to deal with the unfinished business from the past. Sending all my love to both of you 🙌♥️
Jay, help him find his friend by finding him someone that dedicates themselves to finding people- There are skilled people out there that would love to do that. He has enough information for this person to be found. ( oh lord ! How many times did I used the word “find “ Lmao) 🤣
This interview touched my heart. I'm sober of cocaïne about 2 years. But i struggle every day with ptsd. This interview help me a lot❤ thanks for open up to us🙏 WE ARE JUST HUMAN BEEING❤❤❤
Growing up listening to Nicky Jam, he was the first reggaeton artist that I felt connected to through his music and his content. I remember when he would post on Instagram being goofy and me and my Colombian mom would watch him and laugh so hard. Nicky reminds me so much of my older brother who passed. Watching interview felt very comforting and I love how open and vulnerable he was. I pray he keeps getting closer to God. 🇨🇴 loves you Nickyy thanks for the love back
It's totally okay to not be interested in drinking alcohol! Your friends should respect your decision. You can always suggest alternative activities or simply let them know that you prefer not to drink. Your true friends will understand and support your choices.Sure thing! When it comes to friends pressuring you to drink, it's important to stand your ground and communicate your boundaries. It's great that you know what you're comfortable with and are sticking to it. If they continue to pressure you, it might be worth having a heart-to-heart conversation with them about respecting your choices. It's all about mutual respect and understanding.

Nicky was broke on those days...even he lie to me telling me that he forgot his wallet at the hotel if I can give him 20$ for a taxi ..I always admired Nicky for that ..he is a soo transparent person I'm so happy that he come back and get success.. bcs I talking that night u need to came back for the people for your real fans ..give him the 20$ and give him a big hug...and he almost cry..and them he remind me that he remind me from another event and give us thanks for all the support to my friends and me...he just talked us guys u were the group of Peruvian guys in the Ballroom event at the front and with the PR and Perú flags...and he say the same quote that he mentioned here ..I can forgive but I never forget...
Let’s find Billy!!❤
I am a Puerto Rican from NYC and I love Nicky Jam. My favorite record of his is "hasta el amanecer"
No one is perfect Nicky. We appreciate your bluntness. Keep pushing forward with God by your side Gods Loves you! Your fans Love you!
I Love Nicky's personality, man! Humble human.
Nicky jam has always been real. Keep fighting the fight. Your family and fans love you bro. You got this🤜
Jay Shetty, sin falta de respeto. Gracias
It really was a pleasure listening to 2 real individuals having a real conversation about everything, and that is so amazing.
Please bring Daddy Yankee on your show I love this seeing Nicky opening up about mental health and it showing me we can open up about our feelings
I’m from Colombia! Fan of Nicky since 1999, love him and how he is, and hope he can pass through this difficult time❤😊
Nicky is a bag of wisdom , I can tell he is the guy to go to for the best advice real raw advice

Thank you!!!
Big Nicky Jam fan... so much respect for his vulnerability! ❤
What a great interview! His realness, humbleness, sincerity really touched me. I met him once on the streets of NY and my husband stopped him for a picture and he was the nicest person! God bless him and keep him in the right path. He has so much to offer the world! And like he said…..we all need a hug!
So glad you enjoyed!

This is a great artist. I saw him in concert some years back in Florida and I was floored that he could sing. Unexpected. I also saw a clip of one of his daughter’s and her voice was through the roof. Nicky Jam is open and I appreciate being able to listen to his story. Thank you. Nicky Jam fan for life 👍🏼🎊🎈🎉🥳
I’m beyond grateful for all the vulnerability. I needed to hear this.❤
Nicky Jam es ejemplo de que los sueños se cumplen sin importar cuan dificil haya sido! Empezó de cero y lo logró!! Se que algún dia lo lograré en la música también🇵🇷
Nicky jam is a good person. Life has handed him some bad hands but he has kept his big heart through it all. Blessings to him. I hope he finds help to heal from the trauma.
Man, his answer to question number 5 made me cry. What an empathetic human being ❤ We all do need a hug.
We love Nicky!!! .... His realness is one of the reasons why.
Do you have my membership card
I’m sober 3 years and really enjoyed this interview. He was so vulnerable and open, this showed me a side of him I didn’t see before. He’s gone through so much and I hope he finds his friend Billy and they get to catch up! I think it takes great strength to openly speak about all the things he did so after seeing this I’m an even bigger fan! 🙌🏼
This helped me so much!
I saw my entire life flash before my eyes as you retold your story.
It was so ironic how the anxiety, the past, my friends being my family more than my own family.
My entire family is addicts.
I am also an addict
Overcoming trauma
Regaining awareness etc, the emotions, triggers, all of it, the realness, the real reality of life.
I’ve done the same and also smoke. I’ve been trying to stop. Over and over. I’ve learned to accept and embrace who I am through all moments. Even the inconveniences! Thank you so much for this story!
Life altering experience
About to be married in 7 days
4 kids
Living life better than I have ever in my entire life

I LOVE Nicki Jam. Been a fan of his since I was a teenager. He’s one of the best to ever do it! ❤
Nicki I know you don’t like to be put on a pedestal and want your fans to see you as human and we do.
Copper
So touching, what an interview..
Thank you for watching!
Very cool to see this side of Nicky. Much respect to him even more.
I am in love with old school reggeaton and now 😍
I'm the same with my sense of humor in bad situations
So happy to see him ❤
❤
Nicky's Old School Reggaeton is my Favorite.
Great Interview!! Definitely teared up on some parts. I appreciate his realness ❤
I watched Nicky's docu series on Netflix and it made me love him even more he had to hit rock bottom to rebuild his life and career ❤
❤❤❤
NICKI NICKI NICKI JAM!!!! Sigue palante! Hope I run into him in Miami one day that would be awesome.
this interview was beautiful
Thank you for watching!
Nicky jam is such an humble and honest as i see, i am a big fan of his music. Respect for his hard work and as a person. Thanks for the podcast as well man!!
Jay you are the best !! Greetings from berlin , im Dominican and I love hour podcast thank you for giving us this present 🇩🇴❤️muchas gracias
❤❤❤
❤ US Latinos live proud and stand strong! Fat Joe and now Nicky on your show I’m thrilled to watch more Latinos on this podcast 🎉

i really loved this interview, thank you Jay and thank you Nicky for telling your story so beautifully
So glad you enjoyed!
