This is excellent solution. I am advocating forming of a company for disabled people where only disabled will be employed. Watching you is very encouraging.
I'm in 12th std, i am Indian and my left leg is artificial. i use artificial foot. Sometimes my frnds and people around me they are just like ohh so sad that you are handicap it's make me feel down But i don't feel sad like that, i think I'm lucky becoz of this i find myself best. In future i want to do something big for handicapped people. i do everything I love to do everything drawing, dance, Karate, running, sketches, ballet many more. Coz I want to bring all qualities in me.... I don't want to give up. I want to show people that my disability is my ability 💯❤️☺️
You are a hero Liam you are the inspire for persons like me. I also lost my right leg in a bomb blast years ago and i wear the same like you sir. And I'm always trying to do things to make people feel better and happy and good. To let them know how my life gone how i had experience the life without one leg. I was only 10 when i lost my leg. So thank you so much for talking.
Thanks for this motivational video. I’m a disabled person, searching for this kind of motivation on UA-cam several times. I do have TREMOR from the infant till now. However, when I was little I was not sure of it but I’m not good at some simple actions like catching, writing, and so on. However, I managed to go to school. And in the class, my writing is the worse writing, compared to other students writing. Every time my teacher or tutor will instruct me to improve my writing but they do not know the fact that I have tremor. I’m from a developing country, where they gave no concern to disabled people. Despite this, I usually make all my new books rough just by practicing handwriting. I often practiced handwriting from Grade 3 all the way up to Grade 12. However, I haven’t reached a stable and certain type of writing. In spite of this, due to my love of education, I have managed to pass some Grades. And as I grew up, my tremor is even getting worse. Thus, I used to feel ashamed when other fellow students and neighbors see my disability and laughed at me or take advantage of my disability in some the areas such as printing a word into paper or even during presentations. Even my teachers lost trust in me too. In Grade 12 National examination (2021), I didn’t finish the Exam on time but somehow I was accepted to a university of Nursing. As we all know, the university is a place where we do more practical rather than theory. And since my TREMOR is getting worse, I failed all of the practicals. The tremor also gives the problem to my ability to hear. I’d tried several ways to get this tremor off me but I can’t. And since, I can talk well, now, the last thing I want to do is to do UA-cam by Preaching the Word of God and influencing the world positively. Thus, now I believe that this is the major purpose why God send me to this universe. Thanks
An amazing speech. I really needed to hear that i have a learning disability and attending college and still haven't graduated yet, I started college in 2014 and my stepdad talks negative about me he thinks that I'm waisting my time
I have chronic severe pain, especially in my hands which I can't use very well without making the pain worse. It's hard to feel positive when in constant pain with limited use of your hands. I want to write, draw and play music or just do anything..
"We have a popular discourse that increasingly demeans and devalues those who, because of life's misfortunes, find themselves dependant on a welfare payment. But the injustice should not be overlooked just because it was difficult or inconvenient." "If it was unjust for the legal system to discriminate on the basis of where an injury was suffered, or whether fault could be established, then it is surely unjust to discriminate between incapacity caused by a physical injury and incapacity caused by sickness or disease." - Andrew Little Little: Change ACC illness 'injustice' - Stuff 2012
That's what I want to hear turn disabilities to abilities 👏 👏 👏 that's the answer. My message to people with disabilities you are special , you are wonderful, don't worry about people who don't like you neither being friends with you. Don't think negative about your disability. You can change it to ability so drop the " dis" you can do it. There's no Can'ts stop saying I can't avoid it. Say I can & I'll give it a try
I'm disabled and this is toxic positivity. Please....don't say this, because yes we are DISabled, we are what we are and we struggle because of it, so don't tell us disabled people how to feel and how to handle our disabilities. Disabled isn't a bad word, it's our reality, and it doesn't mean all bad, yeah there are things we can do, but this kinda idea you're talking about is basically saying we can't allow ourselves to experience hardship from our disabilities or else we're doing something wrong or not trying hard enough.
I know you meant this to be helpful, but your message is nothing more than “just overcome your disability or wait for the day it can be defeated with external help” and “you’re special, not disabled”. This attitude doesn’t actually address everyday challenges people who don’t or can’t ever have their disability compensated and makes them less visible.
I love ur video I made videos of me trying to do motivational speaker about my disability and advocate for people with disablity I want to do the same thing u doing
