finally! my first striped bass. delaware river fishing

the great striper pursuit of 2023 finally has a happy ending. the last days of april. the end of back to back days fishing the delaware river. day 1 was beautiful and pleasant, but i managed only a channel catfish. day 2 was miserable in the rain and a last minute impulse decision to try at all. down to my last bloodworm, i had started putting things away in the car when another angler yelled that my rod was going. thanks to the philly fishing fam and their drop net brigade for helping a stranger land his first stiper.
27 inches, forgot to get a weight, did not keep.
