I use hats mostly, I also use prescription sunglasses ironically from Oakley as well. The hat that I normally wear is kind of like the one Indiana Jones wears. Mostly because I can mold it to fit ways that I need it from blocking the sun. Thanks for the great ideas on sunglasses!
I also use oakleys. What's convenient is that you can try on all the different lenses at the local oakley store. Currently use the prizm trail for formal meetings and the black iridium polarized for casual work. I ordered some transition drivewear to try out for formal situations indoors as well.
I use dark cheap sunglasses and hide from the sun, but it’s not working. I have a rare eye condition called Achromatopsia that means I do not have use of the cones in my eyes so all I can see with are the night vision eye cells. Therefore I am extremely light sensitive.
Hey I have 3 pairs of Gascans. I bought a brand new military issue tan pair that have nice tight stem movement. But I have a used black and a white pair that have loose, almost wiggly stems when they're in folded position. I know they're not fake. Do the stems just get loose after a while? Good upload! Thanks!
Ive had my oakley gascans since 2011 and I love them. They are matte black with the polarized black iridium lenses like yours. I just bought a pair of oakley crankshafts and they are also polarized black iridiums. I did not see the crankshafts with prizm lenses though. Maybe I will buy the prizm lenses separately later on down the road.
The prison of lenses do actually make things pop as far as color, but I can understand wanting to get iridium so your eyes aren’t seen, but with the gas cans there’s a rim around every edge and a big side which keep the sun out
Just picked up a pair of Gascan Prizm Daily polarized sunglasses. I have torn terina in the right eye doctor told me to get polarized sunglasses. But do you think the Prizm Daily Polarized is better then yours. Your is more darker. And I like the fact it's all black
Maui Jim's banyans are my go-to dark sunglasses, but I need ones with their bifocals built-in, so when I'm grocery shopping, I don't get over-stimmed switching to readers & have to remove my TaoTronics SoundSurge46 ANC headphones in the process... Isn't grocery shopping fun with a brain injury? Not! But I am "looking" at getting a pair of indoor FL-41 sunglasses so I don't get "dark-adapted" and make my light sensitivity worse!
There is a slight overhang across the whole lens and as you can see on the side of the glasses, there’s an inch by 1 inch factor before it goes into the regular lenses
True, certain glasses look good on certain people. I recommend folks head to their local sunglass shop to try multiple frames on. The retail employee that assisted me also recommended the Oakley Crankshafts which have a similar look to the Gascans, but have smoother edges and is made for larger face sizes (temple to temple). I tried them on, but I felt like there was more light infiltration since they were bigger on me.
What do you do for light sensitivity? Is it sunglasses? Hats? Goggles? You name it! Let me know - I'd love to hear your recommendations!

Ill check out the gascans. I've been using the flak 2.0. They're very comfortable
Im also going to evaluate the nupolar infinite grey lenses for indoor use for formal work meetings. About a 35% light transmission grey polarized lens

I had the optometrist recommend a #2 amber tint in my prescription lenses. No more headaches from artificial lighting

Ok so I have a question. Polarized give me headaches. Will prizm too? I need the darkest lenses out there. What would you recommend
Check out nimbus sunglasses for super darkness

I have the black prism P glasses and you need to be careful with scratching them and read the instructions very carefully, but they are amazing
I am digging those sunglasses.
The first pair aren't available anymore, where can I find them???????

Oakley support prescription glasses along with bifocals
Somebody told me that sunglasses with this grade of tint would be too dark for me to see out of. Is that true? Thanks
I want no light leakage. So flexible leather outer perimeter that hugs my face...Even on the bottom. Any ideas?

Hi, can i order this item directly to you?
Red
Lmao at the story of the waves taking your shades xD that sucks
I feel goofy wearing my gascan I prefer my new Holbrook prizm
Nice, Holbrooks are classic! And they look good on most everyone. I'm a fan of those Prizm lenses, too.
Are all prizm polarized
oakley valve please
Gascan doesn’t look good on every person not many people can rock those
