Are the NFL & ESPN about to merge? After firing Michael Irvin, James Palmer, Andrew Siciliano, Melissa Stark & Will Selva we have some clarity as to why this may have happened. Instead of competing with ESPn the NFL Network may join. Pat McAfee, Peyton & Eli manning, Bill Belichick all part of the possible new ESPN-NFL Media arm. #espn #breakingnflnews

The real reason: the NFL network is hiring clickbait sports as all of their employees
If Clickbait is acquired by NFL Network, owned by ESPN/Disney, then would that make Perna a Disney Princess?

Disney and the NFL deal sounds like a nightmare come true. ESPN is owned by Disney
If that’s true, I predict a 6000% increase on copyright claims on fair use NFL UA-cam content 😢
You're half right regarding ESPN but it's not just Disney that owns the channel 20% has Hearst for the owner. Yes Hearst is the silent partner of the two but just don't forget that Disney isn't the only one involved with the channel. The only way that happens is if Hearst sells the 20% to Disney.
@stephenholloway6893 Thank you for clarity that. I forgot about them. I guess I should have said "majority owner" then. Either way, Disney is involved, which still makes it a nightmare
Disney needs that big money to help bankroll their next slew of garbage
Well, I’ll add that to the shit list of why I’ll stay away from the NFL for probably a decade or so…
Who am I kidding? It’s probably gonna get fucking worse.

Truly the end of an era in television coming sooner than later. Personally I can’t wait for the day that we can livestream games and I can just watch the perna grossi broadcast.

This is probably not a good idea. I mean ESPN will only be as good as the sports it offers. ESPN shows in general are hot garbage. They pay Mike Greenberg millions of dollars to either spout hyperbole or go on vacation. Stephen A Smith is paid too much to host a show that only acknowledges that 2 sports exist. Aside from live events it's borderline unwatchable. They need to focus on guys and concepts that made them what they were. Well, would it actually be fair to label the act of another sports league justifiably, expressing outrage over this bullshit monopoly as; a tantrum?
Because they want to be able to do the same shit. It doesn't benefit any of these corporations to bring in government regulations. They're all run by irredeemable rotten pieces of shit who know they can get away with these same monopolistic practices as long as they let the NFL set the precedent. Another significant difference is the interactive aspect of platform productions. We fans feel ourselves to be a part of/an essential extension to these successful multi-platform shows and YT Channels because we can Comment & Chat. We actively engage with the shows. And, unlike old-fashioned call-in shows, we can engage with other viewers simultaneously. Rather than merely being passive mannequins listening to talking heads, we feel as if we, too, make a difference to the overall experience. The hundreds of NFL fan-based YT channels testify to this. Moreover, the $ given by individuals to support their fav shows testifies to this. This makes even the lowliest fan feel involved. One Pride!
As long as they keep Redzone, I’ll be okay for now
The NFL network has been up for sale for like 20 years... There's too many podcasts that talk about what people WANT to hear about, so a network that only talks about a handful of media markets or teams doesn't serve any purpose

Congress should block this merger because they are the only two large companies that cover football, they're already a duopoly. Pat McAfee would never sign a deal with NFL Network because he paid the league directly $1-3M to break down film on his show and they temporarily stopped him from doing that, which pissed him off.
