Red Dragon makes some good darts for those starting out who don't want to spend loads and try different shapes & grips. Good idea for a vid. I'm trying lots of different medium stems atm, I'd love to see a video comparing things like stems e.g. Unicorn v Target v Winmau etc. 🎯
I was given a set from a friend because I was playing with cheap brass darts. I have no idea what weight they are or even brand but I do decent with them. I've had them 15 years now.
I bought a bungload of really cheap darts, and was gladly surprised. JR501 is a brilliant dart, and I use it frequently. I'm in the process of buying other weights. That's how good I think it is. I also got my hands on Piemans smoothies. Really good too. A bit too smooth for me, but still....I use them a lot. Just make sure you buy the heavier alternatives, otherwise there is a good chance the darts won't stick. I also got a few brass ones, and I'll never bad mouth brass again! Bear razor and Deta's darts (only one weight :/ ) and even Max's scalloped ones. They are all very playable. Try them. Doesn't cost much. And I thank Darts corner while I'm at it. Even my thanks to Tracy.
À year later and I've bought some more brass darts, and they are good for practise, and serious shooting. Mission Ardent, XQmax dist brass steel m1 for example. It's a good tool to use when nothing works, then you try to go back to basics as much as you can, and that's where these darts are at their best. And I'm not good enough darter that the two extra millimeters in diameter would be a problem at all. Maybe some day, but not this decade. :) Of course I've invested in a lot of darts, but I'm not going to make this a commercial even if I could. :) Cheers

I always use designa darts. Always impressed by them. Why pay 40-50 quid for darts when you can get brilliant quality darts for 20 quid.
Great darts! Would also recommend checking out all of the V180 range for Andy Smith, Alan Tabern , Nigel Heydon and more pro player darts for £20 each
what I love most about Jack is how consistent he is with interacting with his subscribers and making videos and gives great tips and advice!! And definitely shows passion while doing it! Keep up the great work and you'll have 20k followers in no time

There is many darts from £15 to to £120 with no differences apart from design and marketing differences. Grip is by far the most important thing and there is Darts from Ruthless under £16 with as good a grip as any dart on the market but it's all preference. There is no such thing as a beginner dart and a professional dart it's utter tosh it's the setup of that Dart that can be differentiated between beginner, pro etc.
Red dragon has a range of tungsten darts from £12.90 to £15.90. I opted out when choosing my first set and went with some harrows genesis. Some people ,though, might love it if you could get your hands on some of those to review / preview. ...also, you can get broken stems out with the point of another dart. It's super easy.
Do a video about different weights/lengths and shapes of barrels, and what you think the differences it makes

Pure darts has them in all different weights there listed as Eagle argent, I got style C and they are awesome I was throwing wolfram and I threw them so long they went smooth. I highly recommend picking a set up

Ok, so important tip for beginners purchasing darts! It may seem obvious, but don't buy darts that have smooth sections where you grip, (unless you like gripping the smooth sections) if you don't know where you grip and are just buying the first set of darts you've ever touched, have a few throws with a friends old sets. Find where you grip and get them to teach you the basic principles of throwing. (Elbow up, follow through etc.) and then, when you know where you naturally grip (front, middle, rear) buy a set without a smooth section where you grip.

Just goes to show you don't have to pay mega bucks for a decent set of darts, the darts I use are the RD Defenders and cost me at the time just a little over £15:00 they are by far the best darts I've thrown and the grip is similar to the Martin Adams darts all the way along the barrel and very thin too 🎯👍💯

I was surprised by the pronounciation of the name Gallant. Didn't expect anything like that. I was looking at the 22g Gallant the other day so I knew what range you were talking about. Then I noticed the link under the video and realised that you've just misread it :-) It's not Galliant. It's Gallant.

At this point, I don't know why anyone bothers buying darts with someone else's name on them. I mean, unless you _really_ want to support the player or there's a model that has some very specific feature that you just can't find in a generic barrel, then you're simply choosing to pay much more for your set, as they're all made the same.
