Hello and welcome to the channel! If I forgot anything in this video please let me know :) Sorry for the audio not being the best, it's hard to bring my camera in stores. In this video I go to Walmart and show you a HUGE selection of fish tanks and fish tank alternatives ranging anywhere from $0-$180. There is pretty much a tank for everyone at Walmart and for cheap! Feel free to comment any questions you have and I will try my very best to provide the most helpful and accurate answer. I hope this video helps!
DIY PLASTIC AQUARIUMS/TANKS:
- BE SURE THE PLASTIC IS PET, PP, OR PETE AND HAS A TRIANGLE WITH THREE ARROWS ON THE BOTTOM WITH EITHER A 2, 4, OR 5 IN THE CENTER OF IT.
- ANY CONTAINER YOU USE YOU REALLY DO NEED A FILTER AND POSSIBLY A PUMP AND/OR AIR STONE AS WELL.
- MAKE SURE IF YOU USE THESE CONTAINERS THAT YOU USE A LID IF THERE IS ANY CHANCE THE FISH MAY JUMP OUT.
- ALSO MAKE SURE TO DO WATER CHANGES AND USE THE CORRECT CHEMICALS IN THESE AQUARIUMS
JAR AQUARIUMS:
- DO NOT CLOSE THE LID UNLESS IT IS AN ENTIRE CLOSED ECO SYSTEM THAT DOES NOT NEED OXYGEN
- I DO NOT SUGGEST THESE BECAUSE YOU CAN'T PUT A FILTER IN THEM
- BEST FOR SNAILS AND PLANTS

Nice video! Plastic totes are my go to emergency setup. 5 gallon buckets with a sponge filter/box filter works great to. I'd stay away from anything less than 5 gallons personally, even for fry and betta fish! Keep up the good work!
I actually will be setting up a 5.5 gallon for some fry in the next week or so, seems like the fry net that hangs in the tank causes them to not grow much or at least fast anyway

I'm getting the five gallon tanks for my betta ( aqua culture ) I definitly recomend becuse it's a kit anf its only 27$.... Great deal !
My 10 gallon tank from aqua culture kind of exploded. All the water was like gone the next morning I do not suggest those starter tanks
Just buy a proper rimless tank, such as a dennerle scapers tank; all of those brands are low quality
You are exactly spot-on as far as using the plastic containers for aquariums. They are the way to go for a fast quarantine situation, or emergency, or any other quick fix. I have a couple stashed aside for instances like that. I gotta say it again....LOVE your name!

What food do you feed your bettas? I have a neon tetra and a male betta and a shrimp in my 20 gallon tank but the food I feed my betta he dose not eat it. He eats the tetras food and they eat his food? Any help ?

Just in case you need an idea for the sequel to this video. Check out the neighborhood on trash/recycling day or visit a local mall the food court has a
trash/recycling area. You can find large plastic or glass jars , used food containers of different sizes and shapes and FREE .

I definitely don't recommend the 1 gallon globe with LED lid. My mom got it for my sister as a beginner tank while her betta was small and the tank discolored and got a super foggy film to the plastic. We couldn't get it clean no matter what so we just threw it away! XD

It is way to small! I recommend 2.5 or bigger for fish.
You should never put anything in a 1 gallon except
Betta fish require 3 gallons PLUS.
