Lovely walking around there. Next time you will have to go down to Monowai Hut. Not so many people walk down there, although I guess you could paddle around. That Green Lake is quite special. Look forward to seeing where you end up next.
A beautiful and less visited part of Fiordland that looks a little drier than the west! I've only recently discovered your TA vlog and for some reason began watching near the end. While the pain and discomfort is in the background, your appreciation of the natural environment and twinkling sense of humour makes the episodes a really good watch. Bird contributions 🤣.
Yees I was so surprised how dry it was. But a local told us that they had the driest summer in 10 yrs in Sthrn Fiordland. True or not..I dont know but I expected it to be a lot more wet. haha.
I did a good part of the same trip last year including a climb of Mt Titiroa, with friends almost exactly a year ago. Cool that you saw a karearea! We didn't, but we did see koekoeā near North Borland Hut. Look forward to your next installment.
@@atalefromatrail8181 yep, that's a fairly commonly used route. We climbed from NBH to some small tarns where we tented overnight, then went out the same way.
@@atalefromatrail8181 Trudging through mud season but mostly okay. Its been a mild but wet winter so far. Very few clear sunny days. Its nice to see you out in better weather. Good Luck, Rick

So good to see you guys out and about again, harassing innocent wildlife. That Robin is going to need therapy for life after having to witness those cavemen antics. Then again, serves the little sod right for calling you unfit ... 😉
Hellooooo. We are thinking of you guys often. What are you up to in these days? Are the sprouts and sprout nursery still a thing? Any hikes??? Is Liverpool out of the madness already? We are watching with jealousy..
@@atalefromatrail8181 - Liverpool will never be out of the madness while it remains located on planet earth. Kind of giving up on the human race as a bad idea at the moment, but otherwise we are fine. Weather and work have conspired to keep us off meaningful hiking since the shin-splint incident (when it's nice we have deadlines, when it's quiet we have storms). And when the storms (and Covid regulations) stopped we took a chance to visit Germany for the first time since November. The sprouts have been usurped by the mushrooms, as has every surface in our home. Hoping to hit the farmers market in 2 weeks time. We'll see if anyone apart from us is enthusiastic about microgreens, mushrooms and mushroom related products then ... 🤞

Yay! You're back. Living in a van - you guys are true Trampers now. Looking forward to the next episode.
Yay. You're back as well. Always nice to see the same people returning :):):) hope all is well
Happy to see you two cave people out again, with your humour intact. Funny as always Anna. Keep on keepin' on. 😊
And good to see you back again. I guess its snowing and cold where you are?

I remember looking up to Titiroa thinking what amazing views one would get. Maybe a circuit from Hope Arm across to North Borland?

I was wondering where you two were, just last week. Nice video for you to return with. Good Luck, Rick

Ugachacha cavemen
Caveman Geimpft ansonsten kein Aufenthalt in DOC Hütten ziemlich Scheisse meanwhile in Kiwilanden
Oder Caveman sehr sozial und andere Hüttenbewohner sehr offen und verständnisvoll. Ja Kiwilanden hat sich leider verändert...
