Thanks for letting us ride along. Great video work. As the sun comes up in Wyoming today, I'm looking at almost 3 feet of new snow, and it will be a while before I can get out on my own again, but I did manage a ride just before the new snow. Mine is a '72 Commando Roadster with the combat motor and is stone stock except for an electronic ignition. I've had him for 45 years and will have him when I leave this mortal coil!
Out of all my bikes the Norton gives the most memorable ride. The torque from the engine and the sound of the genuine Norton Whistler mufflers is like no other. These videos capture the charm of Norton down to a tee 👍
When brought my Norton 850 around 1988 there was Vincent Black Shadow in the shop for $18,000. My Norton was $5000. I very nearly brought the Vincent but Norton is great bike also. I still have my Norton.
Just simply poetry all the way; first superbike I owned and its special magic has never left me. Thank you. I better qualify ‘it’s special magic’ for those who are desperate to twist it to serve some present political purpose: it simply means that the bike has a particular and distinct feel to ride, that is different from another bike like a Ducati or Triumph. Arnold Schwarzenegger in Kindergarten Cop said it best: ‘it’s not a tumour’
Beautiful. In Ireland we have the stunning scenery also but unfortunately the secondary or third nary roads would chip your teeth with the surface and dips. Anyway loved the ride and sound of your Norton but is there any chance we can have a 30 second walk around of this amazing nostalgic bike? You don't have to talk if you don't want too as the bike says it all. Cheers for the ride thou.
Thanks for another pleasant ride. Added headphones ......good help passin through an Ohio winter. Did install some new bar ends on the Thruxton . Couldn't feel my fingers when I came in outta the garage.
Not sure if i could keep up with you on the bends. great video great bike thank you Sisaket Thailand. Ps My wife has banned me from riding as i am 71 !!!!
I was looking for something in my box of bits last week and found some brake pads from my old Commando - not much bigger than an old British penny! Nice gentle ride BTW, I used to cane mine.

Always considered Norton's to be one of most aesthetically made motorcycles produced..Vincent being no.1
i would say it is a tie between the Norton, Bevel Ducati and the Vincent for me.

Brilliant! I had 2 Commandos in my much younger days and this week at age 62 just bought another and LOVING IT! Yellow 1972 Roadster:)
That bike is running sweetly.
Glorious sound.
Beautiful sound !👍
Awsome ride on the old girl. 👌🤘
Tolles Video, bin begeistert. Schöne Strecke und gut gefahren. Und: Kein Ton ist so schön wie der Norton.....
I'll still take the old 99, thank you...

I had been wondering when you would be back out on the Commando! Bike sounds great and looks to be going well. 👍
Hope you rebuild the DomiRacer soon!
Most pleasing bike of all.
