I thought it might of had a 750 in it cause it a real grunter.A have a picture of a Knucton a Norton Dominator frame & a Harley Davidson 50's Knucklehead 1200 but it's not a Cafe Racer but is a beast like a Norvin but instead of a Vtwin Vincent British a USA Harley in the Dominator frame.
My cousin found a NSU 500cc Konsul II engine, that some one stuffed into a hard tail 1960ish Mustang motor scooter frame, with 2.25x16" Ducati 125 front wheel An 18" Indian Warrior Scout 249 rear wheel..3.25x8" tyre.. Pirelli Universal tyres. $50 in the palmettos under a tarp...behind Northway Nicks Indian Sales/Chopper shop... Out Dale Mabry Highway, north of Tampa's Lovengreens Cycle Salvage/BMW dealer.... And ATTEMPT at building a speedway bike, as it turned out.... ( We had a 1/3rd mile clay oval up at our Dade City FLA, County Fairgrounds) Using the center of the NSU frame. Grafting the Mustang bits to it!. An FAA certified aviation welder guy did that job.... Pillion seat on the fender, small chopper type sprung saddle... Ended up handling GREAT on smooth I-4/US-301/US-92 clover leafs... Out east of Tampa, FLA where I lived. Turned heads at Sebring 12 Hours, and Daytona AMA 200 1968 No other example EVER seen... Cylinder head between knees... Chrome E. European gas tank right in front of ones FACE sheald AAF Goggles.... Instant wheelies.... Valves could be set for MORE torque or more power..... External degree markers.... Twin exhausts from one valve..... At idle the piston sat still The BIKE went up and down And at 55 mph your eyeballs RATTLED.... But 70-75 was butter smooth And extra rear wheel with a knobbie made it a real CLIMBER Dry phosphate pits of CROOMS Park near Gainesville... Up I-75.... No compression relief no spark retarding Needed! AND it was FUN to run and bump! At places such was never seen.... Chopper people thought it COOL! Memories! J.C. Age 72....
Thanking Christ we have the TT back! I shan't die of old age, just yet.... Tho I've packed it in one even my Triumph 3 speed Pedal Bike. Not my sense of balance gone.... But all those noiseless electric CARS Bikes Skate boards One cannot HEAR coming upon you from BEHIND! Here in Chicago... On top of the yearly crop of potholes.... and sabotage ( attempt to STEAL) my rear BRAKE calipers brake blocks.... Caused recent crashes which stressed my repaired (2004) ACLs Summer 2020 was my last enjoyable biking season... No bloody TRAFFIC! Thanks to the virus scare Bikers were free to do and go as we liked. RESENTED by the very IDIOTS who are out to get us. Cheers to ALL brave riders.... Stay SAFE! J.C.
