MAN.... WELL NEEDED VIDEO... BEEN USING THIS 2 YEARS AND STILL CLUELESS TO SOMETHINGS!!!! NOW THIS EXPLAINS WHY I CAN'T SEE MY JIG IN CERTAIN AREAS WHEN I CONDENSE THE VIE TO 15-20 FEET... THANKS!!!!!!!
Love you description video on what perspective to set up livescope mate, it’s been a big help on our Bass, Murray Cod and Barramundi here in Australia, definitely going to use perspective mode a lot more now. Keep up the great work.
Thank you sir I just joined your family and very good information. I'm getting a livescope but 1st I'm educating myself. Thank you again and I'll be watching
Great explanation of the beam and transducer angles! In perspective mode, I notice that my picture clears up considerably when I back the gain off lower than I would in down or forward view.
Well I’m sorry the person you spoke with gave you incorrect information. Here is information directly from their channel that clearly shows one click down is down is down view. If you are talking the lvs34, then the top being horizontal is down. The lvs 32 the top being horizontal is down. ua-cam.com/video/J_q9e6gZ8Rk/v-deo.html
Wow... Great video I'm very interested in side view but I keep hearing down and perspective modes. I'm doing a lot of reading but still confused. What position do you recommend for the transducer for side scan? Do you have any videos that you can share on this? Stay Safe Thank you
I’m not sure if this is what you are referring to, but side scan is actually not available with the livescope transducer. That is a separate transducer altogether
Noticed you demo the Perspective mode at a 90 degree angle. Since it's introduction Garmin has used an 11 degree down angle. It's also marked as such on the Summit mount. Does this have any effect on your image?
That is a very good point! I didn’t talk about that a lot, but I have found that the shallower I am, I keep it closer parallel with the water and the deeper I am closer to that 11 degrees offset. It is sometimes difficult to tell what angle I am at since it is in the water and I will just tilt it until I see the best picture, but I don’t have near the experience with perspective mode. It makes complete sense because technically it shoots out 10 degrees to each side, so some of the cone would be out of the water at 90 degrees. Thanks for the input! Always learning!
How shallow of water can you use your livescope in ? ... I have a lily pad area that usually holds gills and perch and crappie that is in 4 foot of water will it work in that shallow of water in forward or down mode ?
@@joemontello9372 I would say perspective mode would be best for that. You can use forward mode for that as well, but the scale would make it tricky to see very far effectively. Would this be through the ice or in a boat?
Good content bro. Did you have the handle flipped backward? I thought you would want the handle to face with the flat angle side on the ducer which would be front.
Appreciate it! That’s all a matter of preference. A lot of guys like it so it’s pointing the direction it’s shooting. I like to have it like I am directing the cone. Tough to describe without a visual. Almost like looking down the barrel of a gun with the stock in your shoulder if that makes any sense. Either way, as long as you know which way it’s facing that’s all that matters 😂
hello. I'm having trouble configuring the echomap 74cv. I don't know if you could help me? I am not able to manually change the probe mode. it passes from the front down automatically, but for that I have to change the angle of the probe. would you have any configuration tips so I can do this manually?

Since the transducer is on the starboard side, what side of the pole should it be attached too??? Inside the pole or outside the pole. Ty
Hey Jeffrey, unfortunately, I don’t know anything about the fishing specialities pole, but my assumption is that it would be on the outside of the pole when it is facing forward. I can’t promise that is 100% correct for your situation, but that’s what my assumption is.
Hi ,good video, but I have the lvs34 and I had just a 90 degree mount for my pole, it is possible do don’t move the angle, manually, I saw on my echomap on installation I just change orientation on screen it is ok, but for perpective i will need another bracket I think, thank to you
You can change it on the screen and it will work okay, but the stitching will not be in great spots. If you want the best picture, change on the system and manually
@@tjsguideservice thank you very much , I am a French Canadian and the word stitching I don’t know, would you explain to me , but I understand why Iwhen I put in mode forward I don’t saw very much the fish in this mode
Yes and no. You can switch it with the software without turning the transducer, and it will still work, just might not give you as good of a picture. If you want the best picture I would turn the transducer as well.
im wondering what the best layout is of your ice holes in a 2 man shack for lvs 32. I seem to never pick up one bait as good for some reason. if anyone else knows please reply thanks!!

Great video man! I wonder if i install the transducer on the transom… it would be just forward and cover the whole area under, front and behind the boat
Appreciate it! I have actually thought about that myself. In a perfect world I would have one on my transom that doesn’t move, one by my console, and one on my trolling motor. Unfortunately, this isn’t a perfect world 😂
For a 17 foot G3 CC aluminum not having much room and not a lot of underneath routing options to hide cables black box on troller and bow, you think it would be ok to mount on transom next to GT 54? I mostly fish less than 15 feet and mostly in rivers and river mouths searching for spotted trout, migrating stripers and shad. I do a lot of 4-6 feet fishing
First of all your perspective was not correct. 2nd of all I can tell right away from your screen you don't have your livescope set up properly. Need to change your settings.
Hey man, thanks for thanks for the feedback! I’m not sure which part of the perspective mode are you talking about? Technically it’s supposed to be at slightly less than parallel, but depends how shallow you are fishing. I’m always learning and will never claim to know everything, so always willing to listen! Also, this video wasn’t specific to settings, so wasn’t too worried about cleaning up my screen. Just subbed to your channel! 👊

I always had mine tilted forward 1 for forward view. Still worked good. I’ll have to switch it this ice season
The livescope is very good at showing a good picture even if it’s not set at exactly the right setting
Perspective view is best for viewing 5ft to 15ft mud/sand bottom sections of a lake or river. Fish show up so well
