1994 WVSSAC Semifinal Football: South Charleston vs DuPont

November 26, 1994 | Class AAA semifinal football game between South Charleston and DuPont at Laidley Field in Charleston, WV. The Black Eagles defeated the Panthers 10-7 to advance to the Class AAA championship game in Wheeling, WV.

I attended East Bank High School during this era (DuPont's very bitter and angry rival high school), and also attended a small Baptist church in Jefferson with the Wagner brothers every Sunday throughout this time. Occasionally the other running back would also attend church with us. I can't remember his name. When our J.V. team played South Charleston, I was amazed at the size of this particular team.
The running game that South Charleston put on amounted to smash football. Unfortunately for DuPont, this game wasn't meant for them to win. This was a fun game to watch, 25 years later. South Charleston winning the state title was a no brainer after that game. No one was going to stop that running game.

Their was no clip on that last return,I honestly think this game was rigged because if they'd played 10 times dupont would of won 10,also I noticed they didn't run randy moss much just kind of strange to me
