On the copyright stuff, Nintendo would make MORE money if they left the videos because it's free advertising and monetization. Taking down videos, especially music videos, is poison for Nintendo morally and financially. In fact, many Nintendo-related videos and even some Nintendo fangames (such as Super Smash Bros. Crusade and Mari0, which is SMB1 but with a Portal gun) still exist.

Nintendo sued my neighbours kid for 3.4 million dollars in financial damage because he compared me to Mario (I'm fat). His father is drowning in legal fees but I say the kid got what's coming to him to be honest.
What's so funny about this video (and lot of the other rips that people have uploaded) is that every time it gets taken down, another one appears in it's place eventually. It's like the Simpsons bit where Moe keeps throwing Barney out the bar, only to appear back behind him.
The good news is that the archive channel is still being used as a checkpoint a year after the takedown, sad that the stories of the original video are gone, but the legacy will live on in those archives
