And he was absent in the mainline comics until his death, where he's instead in the 4-issue Bad Guys series (where he also sort of shared the spotlight with Mimic and Zavok). Still, he'd be interesting as an antagonist. And unlike Eggman, would be willing to fight Sonic hand-to-hand instead of hiding behind robots. That heel-spur of his could be dangerous. I can also see Surge and Kit being playable, but in a manner similar to Shadow the Hedgehog (the game). They're not trying to save the world, but do their own thing. Not exactly be evil, but cause trouble for Sonic and his friends. I don't think they could carry a whole game (especially since the hero-or-villain thing games did from the early 2000s aren't as popular as they once were), but as side-characters with their own campaign would work. I can also certainly see Tangle's playstyle being similar to Spider-Man's. She can use her tail as a straight-up attack, or grapple enemies to swing them around or use them to hit their allies. And her gameplay would be set in large, open areas perfect for exploration. Whisper would be someone who works as an occasionally playable character; someone who's often in the supporting role. She mostly works as a sniper, so she'd take care of things from a distance; either taking out enemies from far away or even hitting faraway objects to help allies. Of course, her Variable Wispon has various different modes, so it can be used for close-range combat if needed. And even movement, exploration, and puzzle-solving. But her main gameplay would be playing the role of a sniper and supporting others. As for Clutch? I can't see Sonic as someone who would willingly ally with someone as slimy as him. Someone so scummy, Shadow took time out from his prior goal just to hang around to pummel Clutch. But he could work as someone you're forced to interact with or even help, like Moneybags. Of course, he'd also fit right at home as a villain. By the way, fun fact about Mimic and Starline. Their abilities actually reference their real-world counterparts. Surge is a bit different, as her deal is just her existence. Mimic is a mimic octopus, an animal that gets its name because of its ability to mimic the movements, actions, general outline, and even sometimes the color of the creature it's mimicking. Like when moving through the open sea, it'll spread its arms out to mimic the venomous lionfish, or glide across the floor and look like a flatfish. And Starline is a platypus. Platypodes have a heel-spur. However, males are able to inject venom with it. It's not lethal enough to kill, but it can paralyze smaller animals and cause excruciating pain to humans. Tenrecs as a species are very similar to hedgehogs. But despite looking so similar, they have no relation to each other. It's essentially convergent evolution; when two animals end up evolving similar traits, but share no relation to each other. Like how flying squirrels and sugar gliders look extremely similar and have similar abilities. They're not related to each other, but have similar appearances, abilities, and fulfill a certain niche. Also, there's a species called the "lesser hedgehog tenrec".
8:01, that would be pretty sick. While I nowadays know who Tangle and Whisper are, many don't, so seeing an enemy fall right before me mysteriously as a crackling sound effect can be heard would be an epic way to introduce Whisper. She's a scout and a marskman. :D

I could definitely see Jewel being a facilitator for you at a hub for a game that would be Resistance HQ. From there she could give the player different options such as level select, settings, time trials, etc. I could also see her having a side quest option where completing them would help the Resistance members and net you Morale Points (MP) that could be used to either get customizable outfits, upgrades and skills or be used for Supply Drops that could give you a random new character, Wispon or limited time bonus effect like bonus rings, damage or speed for 24 hours. Could even have an option to just talk to her and get hints or details about other characters, secrets in the game, details about your next mission or missions you've repeatedly failed.
Besides those in the video, I would like to see Belle the Tinker, the robot daughter Eggman created when he had amnesia and became the kind-hearted Mr. Tinker. I feel like the interactions between her and Sage could be really interesting. Unfortunately, she does not seem like someone who Sega would choose over the other characters. Also Kip the Capybara as a cameo appearance in a racing game would be great.
Honestly there's a genuine sliver of hope for comic content making its way into future games. Tangle is mentioned *BY NAME* during a voice line in frontiers. Putting something like that in almost certainly required approval by SEGA, and if SEGA approved it, then one could argue that Tangle's *existence* is canon to the games, even if not seen in them just yet.
The comics have been confirmed to be canon to the games. Honestly having these characters in the game would only add more to the world. To the gameplay itself, like I imagine a Sonic game with multiple playable characters, maybe thrown in Tangle and Whisper, as for the others. They can act as bosses or side missions, like in Insomniac's Spider-Man games where you have side missions that lead to boss fights.
A few random thoughts… I think the IDW characters only work if SEGA embraces some different genres/playstyles, which I would love to see, and the success of MoStH suggests they just might. Considering that, Whisper needs to just get her own game tbh. She feels so different from the other characters and her playstyle would undoubtedly work best in its own spinoff. A game that it based around Mimic and Whisper hunting each other would be absolutely SICK. I would love to see Clutch as a villain that uses underhanded tricks (stealing all your rings then starting a boss fight is exactly PERFECT, btw) without ever fighting you himself, and then when you finally corner him, it’s a case of “I’m fairly certain I didn’t do anything illegal, now did I? Not that you can trace to me, anyway. Certainly the Restoration wouldn’t arrest some poor businessman without evidence!” Having Night the Owl as a Mr. New Vegas would be absolutely amazing! ^.^
I love some of your more obscure pics for this video like Jewel, Mimic and Clutch. They’re some of my favourite characters and I loved your ideas for how they could be implemented. I think Mimic’s shapeshifting would make for a cool boss battle gimmick too

A Surge & Kit boss fight could get really intense due to their codependence, I'm imagining a duel boss where once you take one of them down the other goes into a rage state and becomes terrifyingly aggressive
I know I’m a little late to the party, but this has to be said. A Diamond Cutters game with Tangle, Whisper and Lanolin as playable characters would be awesome. It could be like a modern day Knuckles and the Chaotix. 3 unique characters with their own styles and abilities. Not to mention a perfect setting to add enemies like Mimic, Clutch, Rough and Tumble. It would have me playing on day one.
Maybe if Tails had another spinoff game, Starline could come back as the villain. I feel like they had so much in common, that seeing them not have a rivalry or at least a single fight was a big missed opportunity. It would be cool to see Mimic in the games too.
I think that if they ever make a game adapting the IDW comics that having the first boss bite be against rough and tumble would be both accurate to the story and a good introduction, considering they’re more of the bumbling henchman type
Tangle especially would be a blast. Her tail would allow for awesome parkour style gameplay. Surge would be perfect for the “Boost” formula. So we’d have more characters with Sonic’s play style. Not that we didn’t already have Shadow and Blaze who literally do the same thing. Idk if I’d want another “Heroes” style game but I always liked the Team ___ breakdown. Team Rose could return with Big replaced with Jewel. The Diamond Cutters already have that trio build. Now idk what a Team Silver and Team Blaze would be but they should be separate teams. They’re both “Sonic level” characters in that they function as main characters when they are playable. Which I think makes them leaders like Amy, Shadow and Vector were in Heroes. Marine could be on Team Blaze as her own “Tails.” But I digress. I also like that you’re talking about villains that aren’t aligned with Eggman. Much like with Bowser, I like when we have new villains.
I think another addition that might be a lil controversial is Lanolin the sheep, Her abilities with the cowbell are interesting, and I think a morally grey character who sometimes makes bad decisions could add a lot to the group of sonic characters who exist
I long for an open world sonic game where you can explore the world of the comics raid eggman bases and camps explore abandoned old bases like a tomb radier game. And get missions form resistance HQ have sidequest like find gems for rouge collect scrap and old robot parts for tails. The possibility are endless you could have stuff like extreme gear for transportation as well as other vehicles and have background charecters inhibiting big citys like in the comics there is more than enough content to do it.
I hope they bring in Scrapnik Mecha Sonic even/especially his entire squad because I think they would bring an interesting dynamic that robot characters in the mainline series haven't really offered yet. Mainly these robot characters having their own lives with other robot people living in a similar situation as them. To me, Scrapnik Mecha Sonic could be a distinct parallel to the good and evil group by being a small society of robots that just want to live with one another. I think Scrapnik Sonic would have his own role of figuring out how to protect the people that are close to him just like Sonic does. But takes it more seriously and has his own insight to fight against Eggman or any worldly threats. It would be interesting to see more robot characters in Sonic take on more complex character ambitious roles into the story!
I'd really love new characters from the IDW comics in newer Sonic games and considering the IDW Comics are cannon (yes it's been confirmed that the IDW comics are cannon) I would BEG Sega for a video game adaptation of the IDW comics that feature the story arcs, The Battle For Angel Island, Metal Virus, Surge The Tenrec Arcs and even Imposter Syndrome as a side story but it's a 50/50 chance and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same and as for playstyle I'd want a mix of Boost and Adventure that I like to call Boostventure and I'd want hub worlds such as Resistance HQ and I'd love to play as Tangle, Whisper and Surge in the respective story arcs like Surge The Tenrec arcs and Tangle in the Battle For Angel Island and Metal Virus Arc and same goes for Whisper and I personally feel that it could even be the return for Silver and Shadow as playable characters
For 6:35, it is mentioned in issue #8 that Whisper’s Wispon is not a traditional Wispon that is built for clearing out crowds of robots, but instead a more precise Wispon used against singular, more powerful enemies. Personally, I’d love to see a gameplay style where Whisper has to defeat enemies in different, more puzzle-like ways, such as sniping robots with a Laser Wisp from certain areas or dealing massive damage to bosses or doors with a Cube Wisp
Seeing Surge and Kit in a future game would be interesting. Eggman, for one, wouldn’t have quite as much trouble handling those two. Besides them being too emotionally unstable to focus on the fight, without some power up, like the Dynamo Cage Surge used, she’d have a hard time with Metal. Then, there’s Sage. Considering she has access to the Eggnet, and Cyberspace, she’s a cunning and dangerous force to be reckoned with. She could help her dad add more dangerous, egg-tech/Ancient empowered drones to their ranks. Along with her ability to control and hack technology, she could easily turn their cybernetics against them, making them unwilling slaves to Eggman. Controlling their bodies like puppets on strings. She’d run enough simulations to be able to counter Surge and Kit. Despite how unpredictable they may seem, Sage could eventually find a way to counter them.
For a Surge and Kit boss fight I honk it would be interesting if when you take down one of the two it causes the other to get stronger. We’ve seen in the comics that Kit becomes particularly violent and deadly whenever Surge is downed showing some of his greatest feats of power, so it would make sense. Though we haven’t seen something like this for Surge I don’t think it would be out of the ballpark for her with taking down her sidekick and only person who cares about her causing her to become enraged making her attacks stronger and even more erratic
Personally I would keep Starline's appearance, but use him differently, I'd love to see a rising villain, starting from just a lowly assistant or nuisance and seeing him stumble until he's in a position to be even more dangerous than the main threat. Villains always tend to be portrayed as in their final phase and it's the hero who grows to meet them, but I'd love to see the opposite, seeing Starline grow to match Sonic, an already established hero.

I will not lie I will agree with all of your statements and everyone of the characters you mentioned definitely have a way in incorporation to the game I think what is a big yes is definitely Tangle due to being mentioned in Frontiers anyways they technically have models for the characters though so this all could work and they care about IDW because they have brought it here and there on the Mobile games so we just gotta let SEGA cook. Maybe some inclusion will happen in the Frontiers Sequel that mainly was confirmed? Who knows? We all have a say in this though

We need enough ideas for villains and enemies, only can go so far but comic characters like Scourge would be acceptable, another villain able to enter a Super State and we had that with Piroth Ix.
A cool way they could naturally implement the idw villians like Clutch, Mimic, Rough and Tumble and even reintroduce some older villians like Zavok, and Infinite is to have a side quest or a secondary quest in the next game maybe given by Jewel or Lanolin which has Sonic going around defeating random enemies in bosses, eventually ending with you taking down Clutch who could have maybe a rebuilt Silver Sonic and you have to chase him down while fighting off Silver Sonic
i don't know if you know this already but in sonic frontiers when running through some forest areas sonic can rarely heir sonic talk about tangle so we might see them in a future game
There's a few comic characters that I would love to see, but the two I'd want to see most are Rough and Tumble. Not only could they be a cool duo boss fight that could be a constant throughout a game, but maybe there could be some growth for them in a few ways as well Also I just wanna see a skunk character in a Sonic game lol

@@SonicTheory96 agree, infinite does deserve to be flush out more better. If IDW Sonic done an amazing job on flushing out, sonic forces and making the deadly six an actual threat, then they should be able to bring back infinite in a big event story.
A Surge and Kit boss vs Sonic and Tails that you can freely switch between would be cool. It's a bit on the technical side, but fighting them together would be cool, and if you favour using one character over the other, then Surge could stun Tails with thunder and lightning (Since Tails is afraid of it) or trap Sonic in water, then have to use the other character to free them. And depending on which one you defeat first, the second one goes full range and OP. Would be a pretty interesting fight. All and all, I do hope to see more of these characters in the games and very awesome, logical suggestions for the non playable ones with great examples to use.
I could see a game that gives sonic amnesia and then the idw characters could be introduced with the main cast also mabye this could show the mobians and humans together
I feel like the best way to introduce the comic cast and lean into there strengths would be a mix of open world and a RPG like something like dragon quest 11 where sonic and friends would have more to build off and flesh out more of the characters

Honestly one thing I would love to see in the sonic games is more of the nameless background characters you see in the comics. Just having the world populated instead of barely having anyone (beside main characters) in them is a big win for me. Also the music/radio part reminds me in Ratchet and clank a crack in time, while you flew around in space you could choose between some radio channels during your adventure. (Pirate Radio was amazing)
While I do love the idea of introducing these characters into the game, I don't think it is at all wise to bring them in with their full continuity from the comics. You know, Mimic's beef with Eggman, Jewel leading the Restoration like that's something we should recognize, or everything Starline did (and no, audio files are not a work around for that at all). And you especially couldn't introduce Belle with her entire backstory intact and unchanged. Sonic Team should absolutely introduce them but they should introduce them like this is their first appearance; even if that means simplifying their stories from the comics. (For example, perhaps Belle was just made by Eggman to be an entertainer and helpful guide in a branch of Eggmanland, but when she finds out what her creator does when he's not running his theme park city, she has a crisis and runs away to eventually oppose him.) If we're bringing the comic characters to the video games, you need to then start treating them as video game characters. It kind of makes me think Sonic Team could use a Spin-Off game before Frontier 2 or whatever the next big title is, one that can bring in and handle a whole bunch of characters at once. Maybe something like a MOBA or hero...platformer? Something that can really make use of a big cast and introduce a bunch of new faces; you could even do the same for some Boom charcaters since Sonic Team seems to want to do that too. I don't normally advocate for Live Service stuff, but it seems the best way to expand the cast at a steady pace.

I think the bad guys miniseries deserves a game of its own. If they actually do make a sonic heroes sequel like everyone wants then silver, tangle and whisper as the diamond cutters would make a good team.
The closest thing to playing the idw characters is getting Sonic Robo Blast 2 with idw character mods (There is only a tangle, whisper and surge mod. The other characters aren't made)

A great video! And I totally agree with your picks and why you picked them. My big concern is that Sega may not even consider incorporating these characters into the games. Mainly because of these overly negative attitudes that people have towards the Sonic series as a whole, such as "Classic is the only way that Sonic can ever be good", which means that only characters with black irises can be playable (because people seem to have a problem with Sonic's green eyes for whatever bonkers reason that I'll never understand!) Or the "too many characters" or "Sonic's stupid friends" nonsense that we're always hearing from haters and detractors. And we all know how Sega seems to value the opinions of their most harshest (and unfair) critics over their actual fans. Still, Sonic did mention Tangle in Frontiers, so maybe there's hope. However, there's also another issue. If they do incorporate these characters into the games, there will inevitably be the SATAM and Archie fans who will start demanding that characters like Sally Acorn and the Freedom Fighters be included as well, and I really don't know if Sega wants to open that can of worms!

Actually, I figured Surge and Kitsunami should have their own game. They are not evil, just confused. In the upcoming Issue 67, Surge and Kit join the Restoration, obviously to do something bad from within. I’m hoping their plan backfires on them, and the experience slowly becomes a redemption arc for those two. I want them to get close to Belle the Tinkerer because Starline ruined her life as well. She, along with the Diamond Cutters, start to get to know them, and begin to aid in restoring their lost memories, and helping them abandon their plans for revenge. If it helps, Starline can return after turning himself into a cyborg; giving Surge, Kit, and Belle at another shot at revenge.
I think adding Belle the badnik also has some nice potential as now that we have Sage it would be intresting to see the dynamic and differences between the good but denied and evil and accepted "daughters" of Eggman

Mimic is a mimic octopus, an animal that gets its name because of its ability to mimic the movements, actions, general outline, and even sometimes the color of the creature it's mimicking. Like when moving through the open sea, it'll spread its arms out to mimic the venomous lionfish, or glide across the floor and look like a flatfish.
And Starline is a platypus. Platypodes have a heel-spur. However, males are able to inject venom with it. It's not lethal enough to kill, but it can paralyze smaller animals and cause excruciating pain to humans.
Tenrecs as a species are very similar to hedgehogs. But despite looking so similar, they have no relation to each other. It's essentially convergent evolution; when two animals end up evolving similar traits, but share no relation to each other. Like how flying squirrels and sugar gliders look extremely similar and have similar abilities. They're not related to each other, but have similar appearances, abilities, and fulfill a certain niche. Also, there's a species called the "lesser hedgehog tenrec".
8:01, that would be pretty sick. While I nowadays know who Tangle and Whisper are, many don't, so seeing an enemy fall right before me mysteriously as a crackling sound effect can be heard would be an epic way to introduce Whisper. She's a scout and a marskman. :D

I could definitely see Jewel being a facilitator for you at a hub for a game that would be Resistance HQ. From there she could give the player different options such as level select, settings, time trials, etc. I could also see her having a side quest option where completing them would help the Resistance members and net you Morale Points (MP) that could be used to either get customizable outfits, upgrades and skills or be used for Supply Drops that could give you a random new character, Wispon or limited time bonus effect like bonus rings, damage or speed for 24 hours. Could even have an option to just talk to her and get hints or details about other characters, secrets in the game, details about your next mission or missions you've repeatedly failed.
Besides those in the video, I would like to see Belle the Tinker, the robot daughter Eggman created when he had amnesia and became the kind-hearted Mr. Tinker. I feel like the interactions between her and Sage could be really interesting. Unfortunately, she does not seem like someone who Sega would choose over the other characters.
Also Kip the Capybara as a cameo appearance in a racing game would be great.
Tangle and Whisper have both appeared in both Sonic Dash and Sonic Forces Battle. Tangle was also mentioned in Sonic forces.

Honestly there's a genuine sliver of hope for comic content making its way into future games.
Tangle is mentioned *BY NAME* during a voice line in frontiers. Putting something like that in almost certainly required approval by SEGA, and if SEGA approved it, then one could argue that Tangle's *existence* is canon to the games, even if not seen in them just yet.
I do know they have some of the IDW characters as cameos in newer games like Frontiers and Forces Speed Battle
The comics have been confirmed to be canon to the games. Honestly having these characters in the game would only add more to the world. To the gameplay itself, like I imagine a Sonic game with multiple playable characters, maybe thrown in Tangle and Whisper, as for the others. They can act as bosses or side missions, like in Insomniac's Spider-Man games where you have side missions that lead to boss fights.

I think the IDW characters only work if SEGA embraces some different genres/playstyles, which I would love to see, and the success of MoStH suggests they just might.
Considering that, Whisper needs to just get her own game tbh. She feels so different from the other characters and her playstyle would undoubtedly work best in its own spinoff. A game that it based around Mimic and Whisper hunting each other would be absolutely SICK.
I would love to see Clutch as a villain that uses underhanded tricks (stealing all your rings then starting a boss fight is exactly PERFECT, btw) without ever fighting you himself, and then when you finally corner him, it’s a case of “I’m fairly certain I didn’t do anything illegal, now did I? Not that you can trace to me, anyway. Certainly the Restoration wouldn’t arrest some poor businessman without evidence!”
Having Night the Owl as a Mr. New Vegas would be absolutely amazing! ^.^
All of these characters are technically possible since sonic IDW comics are canon so there is a chance for all of them

I love some of your more obscure pics for this video like Jewel, Mimic and Clutch. They’re some of my favourite characters and I loved your ideas for how they could be implemented. I think Mimic’s shapeshifting would make for a cool boss battle gimmick too

A Diamond Cutters game with Tangle, Whisper and Lanolin as playable characters would be awesome. It could be like a modern day Knuckles and the Chaotix.
3 unique characters with their own styles and abilities. Not to mention a perfect setting to add enemies like Mimic, Clutch, Rough and Tumble.
It would have me playing on day one.
Maybe if Tails had another spinoff game, Starline could come back as the villain. I feel like they had so much in common, that seeing them not have a rivalry or at least a single fight was a big missed opportunity. It would be cool to see Mimic in the games too.

I think that if they ever make a game adapting the IDW comics that having the first boss bite be against rough and tumble would be both accurate to the story and a good introduction, considering they’re more of the bumbling henchman type
Tangle especially would be a blast. Her tail would allow for awesome parkour style gameplay.
Surge would be perfect for the “Boost” formula. So we’d have more characters with Sonic’s play style. Not that we didn’t already have Shadow and Blaze who literally do the same thing.
Idk if I’d want another “Heroes” style game but I always liked the Team ___ breakdown. Team Rose could return with Big replaced with Jewel. The Diamond Cutters already have that trio build.
Now idk what a Team Silver and Team Blaze would be but they should be separate teams. They’re both “Sonic level” characters in that they function as main characters when they are playable. Which I think makes them leaders like Amy, Shadow and Vector were in Heroes. Marine could be on Team Blaze as her own “Tails.” But I digress.
I also like that you’re talking about villains that aren’t aligned with Eggman. Much like with Bowser, I like when we have new villains.
Also we need mighty and ray in modern games too.(not 2d games)

I long for an open world sonic game where you can explore the world of the comics raid eggman bases and camps explore abandoned old bases like a tomb radier game. And get missions form resistance HQ have sidequest like find gems for rouge collect scrap and old robot parts for tails. The possibility are endless you could have stuff like extreme gear for transportation as well as other vehicles and have background charecters inhibiting big citys like in the comics there is more than enough content to do it.

I hope they bring in Scrapnik Mecha Sonic even/especially his entire squad because I think they would bring an interesting dynamic that robot characters in the mainline series haven't really offered yet. Mainly these robot characters having their own lives with other robot people living in a similar situation as them.
To me, Scrapnik Mecha Sonic could be a distinct parallel to the good and evil group by being a small society of robots that just want to live with one another. I think Scrapnik Sonic would have his own role of figuring out how to protect the people that are close to him just like Sonic does. But takes it more seriously and has his own insight to fight against Eggman or any worldly threats.
It would be interesting to see more robot characters in Sonic take on more complex character ambitious roles into the story!
I'd really love new characters from the IDW comics in newer Sonic games and considering the IDW Comics are cannon (yes it's been confirmed that the IDW comics are cannon) I would BEG Sega for a video game adaptation of the IDW comics that feature the story arcs, The Battle For Angel Island, Metal Virus, Surge The Tenrec Arcs and even Imposter Syndrome as a side story but it's a 50/50 chance and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same and as for playstyle I'd want a mix of Boost and Adventure that I like to call Boostventure and I'd want hub worlds such as Resistance HQ and I'd love to play as Tangle, Whisper and Surge in the respective story arcs like Surge The Tenrec arcs and Tangle in the Battle For Angel Island and Metal Virus Arc and same goes for Whisper and I personally feel that it could even be the return for Silver and Shadow as playable characters
For 6:35, it is mentioned in issue #8 that Whisper’s Wispon is not a traditional Wispon that is built for clearing out crowds of robots, but instead a more precise Wispon used against singular, more powerful enemies. Personally, I’d love to see a gameplay style where Whisper has to defeat enemies in different, more puzzle-like ways, such as sniping robots with a Laser Wisp from certain areas or dealing massive damage to bosses or doors with a Cube Wisp

Seeing Surge and Kit in a future game would be interesting. Eggman, for one, wouldn’t have quite as much trouble handling those two. Besides them being too emotionally unstable to focus on the fight, without some power up, like the Dynamo Cage Surge used, she’d have a hard time with Metal. Then, there’s Sage. Considering she has access to the Eggnet, and Cyberspace, she’s a cunning and dangerous force to be reckoned with. She could help her dad add more dangerous, egg-tech/Ancient empowered drones to their ranks. Along with her ability to control and hack technology, she could easily turn their cybernetics against them, making them unwilling slaves to Eggman. Controlling their bodies like puppets on strings. She’d run enough simulations to be able to counter Surge and Kit. Despite how unpredictable they may seem, Sage could eventually find a way to counter them.
For a Surge and Kit boss fight I honk it would be interesting if when you take down one of the two it causes the other to get stronger. We’ve seen in the comics that Kit becomes particularly violent and deadly whenever Surge is downed showing some of his greatest feats of power, so it would make sense. Though we haven’t seen something like this for Surge I don’t think it would be out of the ballpark for her with taking down her sidekick and only person who cares about her causing her to become enraged making her attacks stronger and even more erratic
Personally I would keep Starline's appearance, but use him differently, I'd love to see a rising villain, starting from just a lowly assistant or nuisance and seeing him stumble until he's in a position to be even more dangerous than the main threat.
Villains always tend to be portrayed as in their final phase and it's the hero who grows to meet them, but I'd love to see the opposite, seeing Starline grow to match Sonic, an already established hero.

I will not lie I will agree with all of your statements and everyone of the characters you mentioned definitely have a way in incorporation to the game I think what is a big yes is definitely Tangle due to being mentioned in Frontiers anyways they technically have models for the characters though so this all could work and they care about IDW because they have brought it here and there on the Mobile games so we just gotta let SEGA cook. Maybe some inclusion will happen in the Frontiers Sequel that mainly was confirmed? Who knows? We all have a say in this though

We need enough ideas for villains and enemies, only can go so far but comic characters like Scourge would be acceptable, another villain able to enter a Super State and we had that with Piroth Ix.
A cool way they could naturally implement the idw villians like Clutch, Mimic, Rough and Tumble and even reintroduce some older villians like Zavok, and Infinite is to have a side quest or a secondary quest in the next game maybe given by Jewel or Lanolin which has Sonic going around defeating random enemies in bosses, eventually ending with you taking down Clutch who could have maybe a rebuilt Silver Sonic and you have to chase him down while fighting off Silver Sonic
How about others from DiC, fleetway and archie

There's a few comic characters that I would love to see, but the two I'd want to see most are Rough and Tumble. Not only could they be a cool duo boss fight that could be a constant throughout a game, but maybe there could be some growth for them in a few ways as well

@@SonicTheory96 agree, infinite does deserve to be flush out more better. If IDW Sonic done an amazing job on flushing out, sonic forces and making the deadly six an actual threat, then they should be able to bring back infinite in a big event story.
A Surge and Kit boss vs Sonic and Tails that you can freely switch between would be cool. It's a bit on the technical side, but fighting them together would be cool, and if you favour using one character over the other, then Surge could stun Tails with thunder and lightning (Since Tails is afraid of it) or trap Sonic in water, then have to use the other character to free them. And depending on which one you defeat first, the second one goes full range and OP. Would be a pretty interesting fight.
All and all, I do hope to see more of these characters in the games and very awesome, logical suggestions for the non playable ones with great examples to use.
I could see a game that gives sonic amnesia and then the idw characters could be introduced with the main cast also mabye this could show the mobians and humans together
I feel like the best way to introduce the comic cast and lean into there strengths would be a mix of open world and a RPG like something like dragon quest 11 where sonic and friends would have more to build off and flesh out more of the characters

With the audio files they can make call backs or reference to pass events in the sonic comics. For example the metal virus arc.
Honestly one thing I would love to see in the sonic games is more of the nameless background characters you see in the comics. Just having the world populated instead of barely having anyone (beside main characters) in them is a big win for me.
Also the music/radio part reminds me in Ratchet and clank a crack in time, while you flew around in space you could choose between some radio channels during your adventure. (Pirate Radio was amazing)
While I do love the idea of introducing these characters into the game, I don't think it is at all wise to bring them in with their full continuity from the comics. You know, Mimic's beef with Eggman, Jewel leading the Restoration like that's something we should recognize, or everything Starline did (and no, audio files are not a work around for that at all). And you especially couldn't introduce Belle with her entire backstory intact and unchanged.
Sonic Team should absolutely introduce them but they should introduce them like this is their first appearance; even if that means simplifying their stories from the comics. (For example, perhaps Belle was just made by Eggman to be an entertainer and helpful guide in a branch of Eggmanland, but when she finds out what her creator does when he's not running his theme park city, she has a crisis and runs away to eventually oppose him.) If we're bringing the comic characters to the video games, you need to then start treating them as video game characters.
It kind of makes me think Sonic Team could use a Spin-Off game before Frontier 2 or whatever the next big title is, one that can bring in and handle a whole bunch of characters at once. Maybe something like a MOBA or hero...platformer? Something that can really make use of a big cast and introduce a bunch of new faces; you could even do the same for some Boom charcaters since Sonic Team seems to want to do that too.
I don't normally advocate for Live Service stuff, but it seems the best way to expand the cast at a steady pace.

I think the bad guys miniseries deserves a game of its own. If they actually do make a sonic heroes sequel like everyone wants then silver, tangle and whisper as the diamond cutters would make a good team.
The closest thing to playing the idw characters is getting Sonic Robo Blast 2 with idw character mods (There is only a tangle, whisper and surge mod. The other characters aren't made)

My big concern is that Sega may not even consider incorporating these characters into the games. Mainly because of these overly negative attitudes that people have towards the Sonic series as a whole, such as "Classic is the only way that Sonic can ever be good", which means that only characters with black irises can be playable (because people seem to have a problem with Sonic's green eyes for whatever bonkers reason that I'll never understand!) Or the "too many characters" or "Sonic's stupid friends" nonsense that we're always hearing from haters and detractors. And we all know how Sega seems to value the opinions of their most harshest (and unfair) critics over their actual fans.
Still, Sonic did mention Tangle in Frontiers, so maybe there's hope. However, there's also another issue. If they do incorporate these characters into the games, there will inevitably be the SATAM and Archie fans who will start demanding that characters like Sally Acorn and the Freedom Fighters be included as well, and I really don't know if Sega wants to open that can of worms!

Actually, I figured Surge and Kitsunami should have their own game. They are not evil, just confused. In the upcoming Issue 67, Surge and Kit join the Restoration, obviously to do something bad from within. I’m hoping their plan backfires on them, and the experience slowly becomes a redemption arc for those two. I want them to get close to Belle the Tinkerer because Starline ruined her life as well. She, along with the Diamond Cutters, start to get to know them, and begin to aid in restoring their lost memories, and helping them abandon their plans for revenge. If it helps, Starline can return after turning himself into a cyborg; giving Surge, Kit, and Belle at another shot at revenge.
They could become at the very least anti-heroes. (e.g. Good? Bad? I do what this how I want!)
I think adding Belle the badnik also has some nice potential as now that we have Sage it would be intresting to see the dynamic and differences between the good but denied and evil and accepted "daughters" of Eggman
