Everyone lauds OKC for their savviness in building a franchise from the bottom up, wise contracts, great trades and hoarding picks.
I get the Clippers dont have picks but why do u HAVE to have a superstar on your team if you’re not gonna be any good anyways?? Whats the point?? Why is it bad to get rid of all bad contracts or avoid making new ones???
OKC literally had no one. They unload George and get SGA. They tank for a few yrs and let their homegrown picks and cheap signings develop. And now look at them.
Why isnt this the model?? Why is it that you have to overpay?? Its not like Paul George was putting butts in the seats, i just dont get why ppl are making a big deal out if this

I think the limitations to roster moves has been more effective at dispersing talent than tax penalties. Steve ballmer just built a brand new arena in LA for a second fiddle team simply because he has the ability to do so. He should want a star studded team but he knows the current core is aging and not getting past the second round and probably will be surpassed by younger teams in the next couple of years. Holding onto an aging PG on a max deal just ensures they can’t trade any of their star players, even when they are missing the playoffs in two years

Harden... barely can stop any defensively and is a liability that made PG worse. Clippers made that mistake and chose the wrong path AGAIN, should have kept team with Westbrook...

You people are literally the most absurd. Joel Embiid had one eye falling out and one knee facing west. Yeah, maybe he figures driving on a bad knee is not the best option if his teammates are open. It's "fair" that he was injured... then you go on to say forget about injury. Meanwhile we couldn't stop hearing EVERY broadcast how Luka's knee was "injured" despite no one every actually saying what his injury was. Lol. Just shut up.

That new CBA luxury tax is awful, why punish a team for actually wanting to win? I understand paying extra money for going over the set salary cap but paying even more because a player makes a certain amount over the “second apron” you punishing teams like OKC, Houston they drafted nice young players and won’t be able to pay them because of this stupid rule..

The exact trade requirement is particularly stupid. If half the league finds itself in the second apron, then maybe the threshold is too low.
