- Connect the Yamaha AG06-03 Mixer to ipad to do recording in the field or Location for short films. I have also demonstrated how you can do multi track recording on ipad. The mixer can be powered from external usb battery pack or power bank or standard external usb charger. To connect to the ipad you would need ipad camera kit adapter , now a days this adapter is cheap on amazon or ebay.

What if my iPad doesn’t read the mixer?
Hi, your Stereo output 1/4" to RCA adaptors are they TS or TRS adaptors? Thanks.
yes help
Hey, do this charge the iPad battery?
no it does not .
Nor can it run off of the iPad battery.
my ipad doesnt even see this mixer, i m so dissapointed with this product. i have the latest ipad pro and it simply doenst work
Belgin uğursu ;// same here. He doesn’t explain when the iPad makes connection to the mixer
It can be that you are using a cheaper alternative adapter. If this is the case, try using the official Apple Camera Kit adapter. Expensive I know, but it works.
Don't forget that you would need separate power for your AG06 when you're using it with an iPad.
Hey do you know if this mixer will use all channels for other apps like the video app or snapchat or Facebook live?
what are you trying to achieve ?
I want to Livestream Dj sets from my iPad but I would like to connect 2 mics to capture crowd noise
Can you only record 2 tracks at once on ios, or did you just mean that you're only showing two tracks, just for the demonstration?
Yamaha AG06 has two individual inputs for multitrack recording , if you have a audio interface with more individual inputs for multitrack recording then I believe you can record more . I will check the limitation of Cubasis LE and tell you the exact number of tracks that can be recorded , you can google as well.
Thanks for the response. Yeah, I think the interface only does 2 at the same time. Like you said though, it'd be good to know how many Cubasis can do. It sounds like it may also be limited to what iOS device you're using. I'm trying to find a setup that'll let me record at least 4 tracks simultaneous, so I can record live drums, without having to haul half my studio with me.
Checked on My ipad Air and Cubasis LE V2 free version , You can create 5 audio tracks and 3 Midi tracks so total 8 tracks. The V2 link here : itunes.apple.com/us/app/cubasis-le-2-mobile-music-creation-system/id989112953?mt=8 and steinberg is offering some free plugin as well at the moment .
How many tracks show when connect all inputs 1, 2, 3/4, and 5/6..?
Is unit still show multi tracks or Just show single track, (In Mix Mode and LoopBack mode)
pro tip: watch series at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching a lot of movies lately.
@Kaysen Jaxon Yea, been using flixzone for since december myself :D
Hi, Can I use Yamaha as standalone interface without using computer? If so, can I use any USB
mobile or iPad charger to make it operative? I´ve been using a good app DAW in my iPad called AURIA which I am familiar with, does that Yamaha AGs compatible with any recording app in iOS or just Cubasis LE that come with it? Thanks a lot!
Yes you can use it as a stand alone audio mixer , just connect the normal micro usb mobile phone charger to it , minimum DC 5 V, 500 mA ( don't use chargers above 1A) to power Yamaha AG06. You can also use USB power banks to operate this amazing mixer. I have not tested it with any other iPAD DAW other than cubasis LE.
Thanks a lot!
@@AVMEVideos Hi. Good information, thanks! What is the problem with connecting a charger that is rated at more than 1A? So long as the charger puts out 5 volts DC and it can supply more than 500 mA, the charger's maximum current rating is totally irrelevant, the AG06 will draw the current that it needs, no more. Or have I misunderstood something?
@@eekamoose Good Question. You are correct. I read a review on Thomann, and the reviewer said that when he used an iPad charger to power the Yamaha mixer, it created extra noise in his mix.
@@SebastianKaye Hm. Apple products are generally good quality but maybe the iPhone charger was putting out a dirty DC current. A battery would have no problem with that, but audio equipment might be affected. I wonder what the noise was exactly. If it was mains hum then I suspect dirty DC and not excessive current. But I am not an expert and they say that a little knowledge is a dangerous thing... :o/
Hi. Can I do this on an Iphone 6s plus?
Just checked on my iphone 6s & the answer is NO. I can't find any decent multi track recording DAW on apple app store designed for iphones .
How to connect iPad? Is not shown
with the camera adapter kit , i have explained it clearly in the video .
I hear that after iOS 10.2 the kit is no longer supported.
I'll check and confirm if that's the case
Same set up. 😅
