Excellent video. Thank you for a very detailed explanation! I bought the AG 06 MK2. It's just a great device that works really good with very good sound quality. The loopback switch is such a cool feature.

Awesome Tutorial for an Awesome Product!! My AG06 was delivered today and I'm watching you as I upgrade my streaming capability for my Online Bass / Vocal Instruction. THANK YOU!!!
What a great video. I wish they put those line input gain switches on the MG06 too. They have a ridiculously low clipping voltage, far lower than what the majority of line level devices peak at, making them useless for any source that doesn’t have it’s own volume control. I don’t need any of the USB features but I’m going to have to buy the AG06 instead of the MG06 just because of the lack of those gain switches.
Hi there. I love your videos. They are awesome. Could you make another video showing, if possible, how to setup the YAMAHA AG06 on a dual pc streaming configuration (Streaming PC + Gaming PC + XLR Mic) ?
Hi, Jordan, does your AG06 makes a white noise when GAIN is turned up, even when nothing is plug into Channel 1? Plus when I plug a condenser mic to Channel 1, there is a ticking crackling noise in the back ground constantly. Is that normal?
Nice video. I have one Yamaha AG06 for several years and I am happy as I mentioned in another video. What it could be interesting is that you explain hi how to do mix-minus mix with an external phone call with these small mixers. An additional question. Wich is the the "Foot SW" jack connection for?
Jordan my brother, you are awesome! Your reviews are excellent and so complete that you don't leave anything for a viewer to guess. Excellent job and keep up the good work.
Great! You had to show the noise level of Yamaha with/without a microphone and latency at basic settings with official drivers and ASIO drivers. Thanks anyway. It looks like a very good option.
Absolutely outstanding video! We’re getting ready to take ours on the road to a small live event. Couple of questions.... Can we chain this with another mixer via Stereo out? And now the crazy question...can the mixer be powered using an Apple USB power supply? Same one used to charge phones/pads.
Great tutorial! I just have one concern with the line level inputs. For some reason, the output from my line level device turns out to be mono. Is there a way I can fix this? EDIT: Turns out, the cable I used to connect my device to the mixer was wonky. I fixed the problem.
I have been watching this video for 4 times. My questions are 1. What happens if I turn on Dry channel 1 and 2 and I also turn on the compression and EQ, is it still destructive or can I still edit the audio later? 2. If I have set the eq and compression, will it work if I use OBS or other video editor? 3. Can use this with android device since it say can only work with iPad? Thanks
1) Dry Channel 1-2 bypasses the compression/eq. Hense "dry" 2) Any setting will work with OBS, etc. If you use Dry 1-2, you will just get the "dry" version 3) I'm not sure, I haven't tested it with an android device. Android devices vary wildly with their specs.
@@kettnercreative that would be appreciated. I tried installing the software and it will not connect to the AG06. Checked forums and others are having this issue. Could be a version conflict issue?
Would you say this is one of thee best mini mixers for dj and music playback in regards to sound ? What do you think about a BBE 282 IX to go with this mixer?
Very informative! Got it that the pad does quite the opposite on the incoming signal. Though on the loopback mode---say, during a zoom session---will the mixer return the mixed signal to the USB so the participants will hear the input mic, while the output does a recording via a separate digital recorder (if one is available)? I assume that the USB port acts as a power source, as an input feed, and as an mixed output feed---all at the same time---is that right---same as a USB headphone/mic combo? Thanks!
Awesome video. Thank you! Such a great mixer concept - but the knobs look pretty loose. I wonder if there's a way to tighten them up? What do you think?
Hi, I just purchased a 2-person Shure In-ear monitoring system and I'm looking for a mixer that I can use with it. It's for a trumpet and trombone, which I would like to plug into the mixer, then plug into the IEM system. Would you recommend this mixer for that type of usage? Or is there another mixer you would recommend instead for that situation? Your videos have been helpful while i try to navigate using IEMs as I am completely new to this so thank you very much in advance.

thanks for this Tuts sir. I have a question, Why is it that when I record using my Phone the Audio seems to be very soft? How can i properly adjust it so that it will be louder on the recording? thank you.
Thanks for the video! Question... with the loopback turned off, are you basically doing mix minus for audio coming into the mixer? So if I was doing a zoom and I had audio coming from the zoom call, as long as loopback is not on, I would control their volume with the computer knob and they wouldn't hear their voices, correct?
Hello guys. Is it possible to use the 3.5mm headset OUT and MONITOR OUT and STEREO OUT at the same time? So we can use the headset out for connecting to the camera and monitor out for the monitoring speaker and stereo out for the audience speaker?
Great video. Will the mixer part of the AG06, that is, mixing inputs and send them to monitors and headphones work without the computer being on or connected. If so, I guess the USB power is required?
Great review. Q> I just got the AG06 but still in box. I plan to run it for my turntable, monitors & Mac. Can I plug both 5v dc power adapter which I have (for turntable only) and at the same time if needed via the Mac (usb2.0)?
Hi Jordan, another amazing video, thank you, you rock!! Just a couple of quick questions if you have time: 1. If I wanted to plug my 1/8" wireless lav mic receiver into the AG06, would I simply use a 1/8" to XLR adapter and go into one of the XLR inputs? Also, if I was doing an in-person podcast with two other people, how would I connect a third mic to the mixer? If that's too complicated, is there another compact mixer you'd suggest instead? Thanks again, I appreciate your great work.
Regarding your lav mic, just plug it into the 1/8" Lav input. When you do this, your chan 1 now controls the Lav mic and not whatever else is plugged in ch 1. The MG10XU would be a better choice if you need more than 2 mic inputs.
When I was doing a live streaming on my youtube channel, the vocals and the music were absolutely perfect, but when I was joining a live streaming with another youtuber using STREAMYARD, they only hear my voice without the music. I hope you can help me this. Many thanks in advance.
The EQs you set on the software do they get stored in the mixer? Meaning I can do Mic setting and guitar settings, then take the mixer go play live with those settings still on the mixer?
Hello, Thanks for the video. I have one question though. Can you have compression also for the second channel as well as the first channel ? My idea would be to use 2 microphone with audio compressor and reverb. Thanks,

I would like to use the device with jamkazam where having additional audio software running at the same time as jamkazam might introduce "jitter" or other problems. Thanks.
If you’re plugging in a keyboard to the combo ins, either 1 or 2, do you need to press the pad button? Does any of that apply when using the mixer as an audio interface?
Great videos. You explain things brilliantly. I have a keyboard with a usb b connector (printer type). I'm not sure of which cable to use to go from that to the ago6. I was thinking usb b to double quarter inch leads and putting those into the place where you put your phone with the two jacks. You said red always goes right. Would this be correct or do I need to get a more up to date keyboard? Thanks for the videos again
You may have a USB keyboard that can plug directly into a computer without needing to go through a mixer or audio interface. You'd simply go USB-A out of the keyboard into USB B or C on your computer.
@@kettnercreative Thx for replying so quick! I have a guitar plugged into channel 2. This goes to the AmpliTube app to add distortion. I then want to send the distoretd signal over the internet (back to the AG06). Maybe that is what You described to be not possible?
Great Introduction and demo! Thank you. I'm curious though... For my application, can I connect the XLR L+R outputs from my DJ controller (Denon MC4000) into input lines 1 + 2? As well, if I could do that, could I connect extra mic's to the other inputs on the mixer? I'd like to retain XLR balanced signal from my controller to my speakers (and not TRS). TIA.
If i want to use it as audio interface, how many separate tracks can i record simultaneously? Also can I use it as a standalone mixer without connecting it to the computer and maybe use USB charger as its power source?
can you route audio from your daw to the monitor out or is there only one output available to send audio to? I need send click tracks from Ableton to my headphones so I can play the drums in time 😀

I use a compressor mic, would really like to be able to tweak everything in front of me, as I’m a singer and really don’t want to be walking to my speaker to change settings. Please help.
To make it clear, the monitor input for headphones can be used for higher impedance headphones (80 or 250ohm) in order to boost them and receive pc audio exclusively such as youtube videos or video game sounds? It's confusing me since some use it to monitor incoming vocals etc. and I want to use the mixer/audio interface for a dynamic microphone (discord calls etc.) and beyerdynamic headphones for mixing instrumentals in a daw and listening to music/game sounds in general.
can the condenser mic be turned on and used with phantom power with the mixer only plugged in to the computer through USB and without the mixer plugged to a power outlet? will just a computer be able to power all that and ok for the computer and mixer?

It's confusing me since some use it to monitor incoming vocals etc. and I want to use the mixer/audio interface for a dynamic microphone (discord calls etc.) and beyerdynamic headphones for mixing instrumentals in a daw and listening to music/game sounds in general.
can the condenser mic be turned on and used with phantom power with the mixer only plugged in to the computer through USB and without the mixer plugged to a power outlet? will just a computer be able to power all that and ok for the computer and mixer?
mackie pro10fxv3 or this one? I was going to Mackie actually first and I know quite different price range and scala products but after this nice informative video i m confused:(
I just bought this awhile ago
How do you like it?
@@kettnercreative i havent tried it yet, maybe tonight. Im keep on watching this video, to make me familiarize those functions. I love how versatile is compact mixer or interface( is this hybrid??)….
Very helpful, thank you! Do you know if there is a way to put a phone call through on this device? I host a chatroom and would love to add that to my repertoire.
You can use the Aux on the mixer for this
This is a great video for this mixer! Quick question, can I connect this interface to the new ipad that has usb-c? I have used this interface for livestreaming concerts on the computer, but I am thinking of switching to using an ipad instead of the computer. I also teach piano lessons with this interface with Skype. How can I set it up with the ipad to use over skype as well? Thank you very much!
You just need the right cable - USB-A end into the mixer and USB-C into your iPad. You would need to power the mixer separately when using any iPad.
please guide how to live vocal recording on AG06
