I own the original utility patent to the “inner suspension” technology (spider within the the magnet). Submitted it to kicker in 2019 introducing the “thinnest sub possible” to them. Gave them a presentation of its advantages, they declined, and then I had to let the patent go because of the high maintenance fee costs shortly thereafter. Watching the idea go viral now is really something to behold.
I had a similar idea to the inner suspension but using a 6 inch coil, originally thinking about a step down coil but would have made the subwoofer too tall. I couldn't afford a patent as I'm just a hobbyist
It's good to have a subwoofer group or individual what specializes in thin or shallow mount subwoofers..in great sizes that can still pack a punch...thumbs up to the creator of that sub.
I appreciate your perspective on subwoofers and enclosures. I am particularly interested in a dual twelve-inch down-firing configuration due to spatial constraints. I am aware that Kicker is introducing a pre-loaded down-firing enclosure featuring two twelve-inch L7T subwoofers. I'm also considering Audiomobile EVO 12s. I am curious to evaluate its performance in comparison to this woofer. MB thanks for the info, content, and knowledge.
No one better for this thought of mine but you now that you have broke these out!! Maybe compare the known by most king of shallow mounts JL. Then the new big kid on block Hertz, and always supreme DD. It is said even JBL make a killer shallow. I would need look but have seen another that is suppose to be the one to take the crown from JL within past year i believe. But being the truck box fabricating genius you have shown to be, maybe this expands your own business also at the same time...IDK but i would bet all of my money on you only succeeding more than you have bringing us some real knowledge of the shallows with good boxes as well to put these in. Truly hope you hear my idea i think many of us would love to see it. God bless as always.
I like it, hope it performs well. Been wanting a good thin profile sub to run. Nice to hear about the mass addition option. That already has a low Fs and a good Vas in my opinion, plus its power handling is the highest ive heard of so far. 👍🔊🙉
i’ve heard the jl slims i’m a truck. they slam and the owner didn’t tell me he had a pair of slims under the seat. would love to see a comparison between the two. have to do head to head on these.

Its cool because the larger coils also.
Wow man you could’ve made a ton of money, you were to ahead of your time
Dont worry..if another company copies (especially kicker)..we wont buy it..cancel thier ass lol...u deserve all credit and funds

No doubt!
Impressive sub with good parameters and not just for trucks neither, us sq guys running front subs jack.
man, my tw3 Jl's have 15 xmaxx, 20 is impressive
Jason and the guys are doing some amazing things over there at wavtech.
The surround looks like the old school cerwin vega vflex
Very informative video as always…thanks..what are your thoughts on the Morel PowerSlim subwoofer??? Your opinion means a lot to us
4 of those would be nice on my 2 mrp m2000s
Something different, something nice! good review Mb 👍

I would love to hear that sub in some car applications with shallow mounted sub setups; i.e. VW/ Fender audio.
I use the Wavtech Bass Restore also and like it a lot better than the Epicenter
I can't wait to hear this one!!!!!
@3:00🤯🤯
Difference between the American bass hawk slim 12 and this the ab 12 is rated for 900 rms.

All facts
U need to test out the Alpine type R 8”
will they make a 10"?
Can you imagine if he brought out a 15/16" or even a 18" fir us hard core SQ sealed box guys
Nice looks promising for my C10!!
I hope this subwoofer performs. It has all the necessary tech that I can understand
These are perfect for my 24 tundra since I can’t put a box under the rear seat but I need your stamp of approval m.b.
Exactly…this is a solution.
Very interesting indeed!
So for you what’s the best 8 ?
That’s gonna change the game

Big bass small space💪🏾
(MBE: My Bass Efficient) Lol
guessing it's not even available for purchase anywhere...
💯
I see ya' on Dem 12'manne!💯🔥
4 of these in a small trunk would be nice
I was looking at the alpine shallow mount 12’s. These may be replacing them.
The engineer behind the Alpine is part owner of WavTech.
@ very nice!! Thank you for taking the time to respond.
Look like a JL TW5. Did they copy them
19.1 mm = 3/4 inch
25.4 mm = 1 inch
Alpine not gonna have patent issues or some sort of conflict of interest if that’s alpine technology?
It’s not. Several patents in the design
You forgot to say 12 tw3 by JL audio is a beast
Not really
If anyone wants a little teaser to MB’s thorough review here’s one installed and the installer’s opinion

Interesting. I would still give the Morel Power Slim the extra $100 and the benefit of doubt for the materials and tech history.
That sure is a terrible-looking hubcap lol
$700 sub....easy pass. I'm sure it makes bass as a sub.
