Haha, the Dustbrush is great. It‘s so fine and light that even the most sensible controls will never be pushed in the slightest. And about replacing modules and therefore selling them: I think that is indeed a healthy process to keep direction. I just put 8 modules to the market because I‘ve spent so much time with my cases that I somehow even felt pressured to make use of some things I obviously don‘t need/ that serve a purpose in a way that not matches what I‘d ideally do with them. Fancy or not, if you neglect it, it cannot stay. When reaching a certain arsenal of modules, it‘s really easy to give up on some stuff, and sometimes musical creation starts to flow again - even without putting a new module in the empty spaces.
good stuff, i enjoyed someone really playing their gear instead of just talking about it. could you have done some of the sets using only one case? size-wise, I mean - what concessions would you have to make to fit this setup into one case? I don't mean switching everything for 2hp modules, but could it be done if you for instance lived with mono distortion instead of stereo, less control over transitions, less 'premium space' effects etc - what would it take, or what would be affected?
oooh what a good question... I think it's probably possible to take the concepts and shrink it down without just doing 2hp versions. I could probably cut the stereo emphasis, lose polygogo/zagerzeb/chaos, drop the joystick and lapsus as controllers, abandon mid-side - that'd cut the B case in half basically. Then I'd need to live-sample it, which I think could be done just as easy by freezing the beads buffer and having maybe some of the extra envelopes of zadar do what I was doing with pressure points + lubadh, to move through that buffer rhythmically. Bail on instrument inputs as they aren't necessary in this version. The matrix mixer is pretty important, but maybe a smaller reverb like the versio one, paired with another granular effect to take the roll of beads & panharmonium, then keep the end of chain as is hopefully? Might be a fun live-stream modular grid exercise and video idea...
@@thismeanswarbasse good reply. So you feel the way you mix stuff at the end of chain is (along with sequencers) is key for getting there you think? whereas reverb can be almost any reverb, etc for effects? watch out for turning august into the modulargrid exercise month lol
thanks dude. finally feel like I've got enough practice to do a quality collab set man. Just gotta get my butt soldering and working on those sensors now...
@@thismeanswarbasse the names I've suggested are not serious, but the idea itself is. I mean, whatever, obviously I'm terrficially enamored with my ideas (I also smell great), but think about ideas/vibes you're trying to evoke and see if there's something that fits better. (Place names, fictional/mythological characters, scientific concepts, etc., etc..)

Amazing how you pulled it off! Like this retrospective.
This Julive project has been incredible, very very interesting creativ process, this is impressive, bravo!
🙏🙏🙏 thank you
thanks for the post julive breakdown. really liked watching your sets!
🙏🙏🙏
Great job! It was a pleasure to follow the challenge for the whole month.
thanks!
Congratulations on a successful Julive! A “Live on Location” set would be interesting with just the A case.
Can’t wait!
welcome backwards, my favorite Basecamp!
Looking foreward to the looping workflow with the bitbox!! Keep it coming...🙂
Spent some time with it tonight, I have thoughts and some gripes already but I’m holding out hope
Love hearing you talk about your cases. Looking forward to hearing what you think of the vortices.
hoping to get time to try it out this weekend, I'll be sure to record some first impressions
Thanks so much for an awesome Julive. Everything you've described for future content is really exciting!
Wow, that month flew by while enjoying your sets. Very inspirational. Keep up the energy, and I'm curious to hear the new modules you introduced.
I like your idea for the A case, looking forward to this. Also, Julive has been great, both enjoyable and insightful.
I totally missed it but I'm really impressed with the effort of setting and sticking with your goals. I'm inspired :)

congrats on your Julive dude! I know it's not easy to post daily, especially when you've got a family and job

@@thismeanswarbasse Hell yeah, I'm still working out how to build the block. Been testing out glow pigments and powders, should be awesome.
I suggest better names for your two cases. Ajax and Borax? Argon and Boron? Asp and Boa?
😄

Totally get it. Named my case the Motherbox (comic book thing)
