Was listening to this in my car on the way home from work at max volume and I couldn't help myself from singing along at 1:18. I love this series so much man, Joe and his story mean so much to me.
Wow, the song is talking about deep masculine friendship. Some people might exploit the fact that you shed tears of genuine sadness to backstab you, only a true friend would share his heart with you and share true genuine simpathy and love for you as a brother. The song says also that it is possible to connect with one's heart when beeing with such friend, allmost as if he represented home itself. Deep indeed, love this song. Can't wait to learn japanese and feel the words of this song even stronger.

you think he lost? while this is an anime i remember the words of a great basketball player (Luis Scola) he told the important thing for an athlete is to "fill her efforts up to the brim, then in the actual match you just empty everything for that moment", i think joe died happy, knowing everything served that single purpose, that spark that allowed him to live forever...
