Hey Kanister. Don't know if you still read the comments on older videos, but I was wondering if you could make an updated mini-video on the Chandra, Hope's Beacon version?
I think Dromoka is slightly weaker than both Thought Distortion and Sphinx of the Final Word! The upside being that you can use Dromoka to block against aggro, but I don't love Dromoka here.
I have so much trouble dealing with counterspells and mill in general with this deck. In fact I got steamrolled so hard by a Dimir rogue mill deck. Any tips? I do have 3 Mystical disputes in my sideboard but I never know what to remove from the deck to make room for them. Plus, the rogue deck also represents some board threat and that's triple annoying. Even when I managed to put in 3 Mystical Disputes, 2 got milled out rather quickly and the one left got countered by another counterspell.
Rogues are going to be a tough matchup, but despite their clock, I think I'd look to remove Grazers for Disputes - Grazer speeding you up won't help if they can counter your spells regardless
Greasefang has both a relatively quick clock and discard spells as disruption! I like to cut Grazers (really poor vs Thoughtseizes) and add Fading Hope (interacts well), Hope Tenders (more speed than Grazers) and Zacama (should stabilize against incoming Parhelions + a strong topdeck vs Thoughtseize). On the draw, probably keep an extra Grazer instead of a Shimmer.
Apart from boseiju, what card would you reccomend to side against deafening silence? It's really painful to play against at my lgs and I don't have the budget to run boseijus
That’s a tough one - boseiju being a freeroll anwser is very important! If I couldn’t get them, I think I’d try to play more Blast Zones in their place, and maybe a few Natural State or Tear Asunder in the sideboard!
Thank you for the explanation. There is another combo tech out there. Try Hedron Alignment. If you're a combo/control player try it out. I'm 9 and 2 at my Friday night magic. Only two decks gave me fits. Abzan pod (with birthing pod allowed at our table) and a hyped-up dimer mill deck. It requires lots of patience. Very fun once mastered.
I would love to see more of these deck primer for the Pioneer Format.
One of the best deck primer deck guide I ever watched thank you million times.
Finally Pioneer goes to Arena by the end of 2024, so perfect time to combo explainations...
Yes!
While these guides are excellent, they are a bit outdated. I'd love to see new ones.
Very insightful decktech! The mulligan part was the best mulligan content I ever encountered
great vid man !! The Kan really is one of the best polish mtg streamers :)
Awesome! Thanks for making pioneer deck guides!!! 🤩

I’ll think about it - good suggestion!
11:13 ah yes, Eugene, my favourite spirit dragon
Great video, very informative and definitely a lot of valuable information for Lotus gamers! Keep it up
Thank you for this video.
The sideboard and mulligan sections were especially useful! Any specific notes on the new Chandra version?
Thoughts on Dragonlord Dromoka as a sideboard tech vs UW/UB Control?

If you like counting your mana all the time this deck is for you.

@@kanister True! Thanks for the insight.

Any ideas on how to side against greasefang?
