I still have mine that I was lucky enough to have my dad purchase for me back in the day. I dug it out recently and as an adult I'm blown away by how well its built.
Now imagine if you had your sound locked down and you went to an outdoor venue. you can crank the amps completely loud and blow the leaves off of the trees. Oh yeah, there's are😮 least 52 Secrets built into this that hardly anybody knows about !
Most definitely, those read beans are so awesome!! Frankie Js Guitarist actually still uses one for live gigs. This one is my fav, I dont like the XT Pod it was too digital.......this Pod is much more easier on the ears and for EQing. I still have my POD 2.0 lol 🙌🏻🎶
I totally agree this pod definitely has some sweet tones to it. I haven't played the newer pods but I'd like to one of these days. I know Stephen Carpenter has played one live for years, I just wonder how he gets it to push air like a real amp.
@@DustinAlford right? These can really push out some good tone!! @Leon Graves Yup, same here. I ended up trading the 3 for some Pedals & Parts. I went back to my 2.0 immediately 🙌🏻💯
Just a quick question, the presets are at their truer sound played through the tube preamp rather than for arguments sake playing a preset through a Brit Class A, that colour the preset differently to reflect that amp. Good video by the way.
My suggest running a BBE sonic maximizer? I've I've used this device in a number of my rigs from the past. The mini pedal version may be what you're looking for, as it will take up little real estate on your pedal board.
Recently, i bought a used Line6 pod 2.0 (FBV Version). I don’t have experience with that much or any line6 product. I am using a mooer mini looper padel with pod 2.0. Now i have pod 2.0 + mooer looper padels. Which padel should i add in my padel board? Any suggestion? I need some advice. I like metal and progressive stuff. Ex: Dream theater, Tool, Porcupine tree, Ark, Pantera etc.
#TeamBehringer here but seriously I think the most valid super short description for POD and V-AMP comparison'd be: clean effects channel vs distortion. These are strongest pros of each. I think V-Amp has stronger distortion simulations, more gain while POD sounds great for solo and clean stuff. And I'd be a hypocrite if I haven't mentioned I both own V-Amp Pro and Line6 Uber Metal (but I think already have in some other video). Dunno how about Pod but Ola Englund turned found V-amp cabz suck and I fully agree, distortion ain't so bad, just see for yourself! ua-cam.com/video/CxUY0-yRSVY/v-deo.html Wonder how it'd sound with your other pedal gain boosters in the loop. I tried connecting Uber Metal pedal but the result wasn't exactly what I expected it's supposed to be. Maybe I used wrong order or inputs/outputs. 19:06 Almost talk box
@@DustinAlford It was really hard to get V-AMP Pro recently and now I regret I missed FCB1010 midi floorboard controller for half of the price. Hope it's not over yet though. It both fits V and Kemper from what I've heard. Maybe even Fractal too
What are you talking about man it took a genius that built the kidney bean. Did you know that people are asking me how in the world am I getting the sounds that I do?... well I will say I use another couple pedals on it but that's all I'm going to tell you
Playing the ol red bean today. What do ya'll think of this mofo?
For live use, try an XP booster before the POD. Changes everything😀.
Tempo + drive gives you a TS-style boost on the POD & Flextones.
@@PewPewDevices Thanks for the tips I've never considered trying this.

Care to enlighten me to some of the sacred knowledge?
One of the best interfaces ever. Let's go back to this style.
The interface of this made it a lot more fun to use than the newer stuff which requires me to press buttons and change modes 600 times per use.
We are not worthyyyyyy!!
I've had mine for a couple of decades almost. Haven't had to have it re-tubed or any caps replaced. Its very versatile.

Thanks for the tip. My cousin has that pedal, I'll try it out again next time I visit him.
I just bought a 2nd backup pod 2.0 for $40. I use them all the time.
How do you set these up , just got one used
@@scottyschade just plug in and twist a few knobs. Like any amp.
Hey, which A/B/C/D output setting are you using for going strait into combo? I think C works for my ears but I’m not sure.

It's hard to say since the POD will give you almost any sound you could want. I'd suggest buying a whammy pedal though, all those bands use Whammy!
@@DustinAlford Thank you.
I think i will.
This Dongus fella sure has a few toys.

Doesnt sound too bad, even today.
Yeah it's still pretty solid especially if you turn the cab sim off and either use your cab or a impulse response.
Can u plug a head phones into the line6 pod 2.0
Yes you can.
Hell yes! It’s in stereo that way too.

I love the V-amp I actually owned one before the Pod. One day I'd love to review it again. Awesome modeler!
