Thank you so much for continuing to make amazing content, with amazing food, that I can listen to with no volume on before bed! So cool to be here so early. You guys are the best! Love from Arizona!
The gondolas are a cool way to get a good view of Yokohama! What was the price of a round-trip ticket, if I may ask? The ramen looked wonderful. Sadly, I don't have a favorite ramen restaurant. I make vegan ramen at home with a miso/mushroom based broth and lots of veggies. It's not as unctuous as a meat-based ramen, but it's very good. I love soft serve ice cream too, and the ""elephant trunk" presentation was ultra cute. I know you're both very excited to be going back to Oahu! Have a fabulous, joyful reunion with your family, Shinichi! Relax, eat well, and don't work too hard, please. E pili mau na pomaika`i ia `oe.
One way is ¥1,000 and RT ¥1800 (according to the website)….I’m no fan of heights, but this kind of gondola would be a nice way to view the city, especially at night.
@@Aiken47 Ohhhh! The charred eggplant is a wonderful idea. I assume that as well as imparting a little smoky flavor it thickens the broth a bit. Thanks!
I love the miso soup that is usually available with every sushi meal here. and it just has tiny bits of Miso and Nori so That Miso Ramen from Shodai looks incredible! -When you go to Hawaii it would be cool if you had homestyle Spam musubi and then maybe a more high-end restaurant version 👍
I'm sure you guys have gone to the Ramen Museum in Shin-Yokohama as well. This place reminds me of there a little...lots of ramen shops from all over Japan. You can get slightly smaller "mini" bowls there as well so you might be able to try more than one style.
What a fun gondola ride! I think, even I would put my big girl panties on, and ride it. What a fun way to see the city. Thank you for sharing the yummy bowls of ramen. I absolutely love shoyu or miso ramen with charsiu, menma, and moyashi. Zou no Hana-what a cute name for an ice cream shop. They did such a great job creating the elephants trunk!! Thank you both for yet another fun adventure!! ♥️♥️
Really pretty views from the gondola...... I love ramen, especially when I discovered that there was more to it than the 50 cents bags of powder and noodles from the grocery store. Authentic ramen with homemade broth, chasu, and other toppings is great on a cool or cold day. Yummy! Thanks for sharing your ramen adventure....... For your Hawaii trip, I would be interested in seeing the types of restaurants and foods that locals eat on a day-to-day basis. That is, step away from just the tourist trap pig roasts.....
So excited for you that you’re going to visit your family! If you decide to venture off Oahu, come to the big island. There are many great places to eat in Hilo now. Aloha🌺
Love the gondola. The views were lovely. We don’t have any ramen shops where I live. The closest one is over an hour away, so I make my own ramen. Ive tried a couple different kinds. There is a great Asian market that I found about a year ago and I can get prepared broths that are made in-house. My favorites are miso and their milk based broths. I’ve also found some great recipes online and I use Satoshi’s miso soup recipe when I make my own. 😊 I even bought a gorgeous ramen set from Amazon. It came with 4 of each: ramen bowls, ladles/spoons, beautiful chopsticks and adorable matching chop stick rests. I adore it and I’m thinking of getting another set with a different pattern/scene. Thanks for sharing....it was an excellent video, as always. ✌🏻🥰😊 *omgoodness...I just realized the ice cream is an elephant! So cool* 😀
You always take us to such interesting places . It's great experiencing the food through your descriptions. That gondola ride looked amazing! The ramen looked delicious. Your videos are just so fun. They really helped get me through the winter ,here in Wisconsin, USA. Thanks so much. Have a safe and wonderful visit in Hawaii. 🍍🍍😊😎

What a beautiful day for a gondola ride how amazing are those views. Ramen is so nice and refreshing I could eat that quite often. 😋 But the soft serve was just so cute best of all the truck was up which is good luck 👍. 🤗💛
I get a kick out of Satoshi eating noodles with chopsticks. He has a way of expertly and elegantly shoveling those long noodles into his mouth. I would end up with it all over my face.
Great views of Yokohama from the gondola 🚠 the ramen 🍜 looked delicious and never come across Zangi before looks similar to Karaage Have to try and make sometime. Thanks for entertaining us I’m hungry 😋 now 😂👍
Wow, I sang on the MS Asuka many years ago and we were in Yokohama often. I wish all of this was there then! I can get very yummy Ramen in NYC now but it’s so expensive!
Wow, the view looks so scenic on the gondola! All the ramen tasty too. So happy to hear you're going to Hawaii to see your family! If you have time, Kauai is beautiful. I know your mother can't wait and probably won't let you out of her sight. I know how hard the pandemic has been for so many people. It's still very surreal to me. Ok, take care!💝
The gondola ride seemed lovely and has me hoping my family is interested in riding them in Gatlinburg, TN. I live in Memphis, TN and have only had ramen twice. I have allergies that make it hard to accommodate me. I was blessed to be served at a pop-up event during their slow time and they could work with me to make it safely. I’d love to go again now that their shop is open.
Yokohama food tour! Very nice, I love to see more of food around Japan, even tho i would appreciate more to seed foods from places other than Tokyo and Osaka 🤣

Mahalo for your hard work making all these videos to satisfy our Japan craving. Can’t wait til Japan opens up more. When you come check out Wagaya ramen-ya on the left hand side of King St. That’s our fave place to get ramen.
It's been ages since I was last in Yokohoma. The gondola looks scary, even though I know that it is safe in Japan. Looking forward to your videos from Hawaii. Please don't feel obligated to make videos. Instead, focus on spending quality time with your mom, sisters and nephews. Not certain if there are any nearby. However, if you have to make videos, focus on places that you can only see in Hawaii, such a fresh pineapple stands and Hawaiian food, such a kakigori. Take care. And, keep up the awesome work.
Im from Guatemala and is so difficult to find a Ramen shop, but everytime I see this I promise myself that I have to keep searching and I might find it one day.
As always I ADORE your videos. Your content is just amazing. Both those ramens look delicious, and the Zangi too looked incredibly crisp and juicy. I didn't go to many ramen joints when I was in Japan, but I have a soft spot for Furyu as it was the place where I managed to try authentic japanese ramen in Tokyo, and also the first truly japanese meal I had in Japan. It was delicious and made me want to try a lot of different foods.
There is a little ramen shop in Cambridge, Massachusetts that I dream about. I moved 2 1/2 hours away, and miss it so much. The broth is AMAZING. I love to bring friends there and watch their eyes when they take the first sip of broth!!! Thanks for this wonderful video.

The gondola would be awesome to ride at night. And I have to travel about an hr to go to a place called Ichiraku Ramen to get actual real Japanese ramen here in NE Ohio. It's a tad pricey but it's very good.
I want to try the Asahikawa style ramen as I've never had it. We plan to be in Hokkaido this summer, but we will be further north and to the east of Asahikawa. Hopefully we can find it. In California Bay Area we can easily choose between miso, tonkotsu and shio styles and there are some branches of Japanese chains to choose from.
I love your videos! I constantly make mental note of great food places to try when I finally visit Japan. 🙂 But for ramen, whenever I travel out to Columbus, Ohio I have to visit my favorite ramen shop Meshikou. I wish they would bring one to Cleveland.
