Brother Frank and his wife, Leslie, have 4, Tracy, Sondra, Brooke, and their youngest, Fuller, who is played by Macaulay’s little brother, Kieran.Culkin. The older girl, Heather and the dark-haired boy with the glasses, Rod, are the children of the youngest McCallister brother, Rob, and wife Georgette. They are staying with Peter and Kate temporarily and joining their parents and brother Steffan and twin baby sisters in Paris! @@bartellender6782 I read that it’s not so much arachnophobia, but that the spider was one of the timid ones and always tried to run away, and that's why Daniel Stern's scream was first recorded and then played back. But in Potter, Rupert Grint, like his character, also has arachnophobia, so during the filming of scenes with spiders his emotions were not acting, he was really scared

An old family/church friend of mine was the effects/stunts supervisor for this film. He has a cameo as the cop who chases Kevin across the ice after accidentally stealing the toothbrush (you’ll see his credit as Bill Purcell). He actually fell and busted his kneecap that day (he had to keep shooting the shot with a shattered kneecap, and wasn’t allowed to go to the hospital until the shot was done).
But anyway, he came to our high school drama class one day, and I got to hold the bicycle handlebars that Kevin used to zip line from his house to the tree house. That’s pretty much the end of the story, but I think it’s pretty cool.

I gave benefit of the doubt how they can even choose a movie with the person on the poster and still be surprised when that person is in the movie. This was a favorite reaction channel until they revealed at the end they've seen it multiple times. Be honest upfront and give people a choice instead of making sure you get the view first. This movie came out when I was 10 years old, and there was a shopping center with a movie theater that played movies for a dollar, about 3 miles from where I lived, and I must have rode my bike there a dozen times to watch it. I was obsessed. I'm sure my dad wanted to snatch me up quite a few times because I just ran around the house quoting the movie non stop. lol! Saw quite a few classics at that theater actually. The original live action TMNT movie, Kindergarten Cop, and Jurassic Park to name a few. Friggin love you guys!

I remember when this movie first came out it became so popular so quickly that there was actually a bit of backlash against it and it became somewhat fashionable to hate on it for a good part of the 1990s (Even Kevin Smith bashed on it in his 1999 film, Dogma). But I've always seen it as just a fun, heartwarming Christmas movie. So, I'm glad to see that enough time has passed that people can enjoy this movie again without trying to look cool by pretending to hate it.

True story: my late father would crack up just watching the trailer on TV. My sister came home from college for break and we took him to see it on opening weekend which was also Thanksgiving. It was packed!
We were in the middle of a huge theater, surrounded by little boys. There was a row of kids in front of us that were having a birthday party (matching shirts) and one of them almost made me have a stroke. I'll come back to him.
Anyway, you all know the movie, but when the third act started up, the whole theater exploded with laughter. It was friggin bedlam in there! However, no one laughed harder than my dad! He had the greatest laugh that ever existed! He was also very short and round. I was taller than both of my parents by the time I was 8 (I'm 5'4) by a lot. So this little boy from the party turned around, pointed at my dad, who was in his late 60's, and screamed, "even the big kid is laughing!"
I almost died from laughing. My sister laugh-cried herself into a bloody nose. It was awesome!
Flash forward to a year later when they released "Home Alone" on to video (for the kids out there, it could take years for a film to be released on to VHS back in the day) and my genius mother pre-ordered it for us. We hosted a "Come Watch Dad Watch "Home Alone" Party," which we had catered and 25 adults showed up, to sit with their backs to the TV, on the floor, just to watch my dad laugh.
    Best. Party. Ever.

The greatest crime committed in this movie is certainly... that Kevin didn't even get to eat his highly nutritious Macaroni and Cheese..He is most known for this but also great in other films. @@MermaidMusings7 All the McCallisters, except Kevin, will do anything to look like saints in the eyes of others, but in reality they are not saints, which means that for them the meaning of life is the motto “Appear, not be.” But in the show "Allegra's window" there is a healthy atmosphere. 3-year-old Allegra also knows what it's like to have an older brother. But she was luckier with him than anyone else. At the age of 6, Rondo already pretends to be cool, prefers games for big boys, makes barbs at her, but not to annoy her, but in a kind way. But that doesn't mean he's always like this. This is just a mask with the help of which he learns not to show his weakness, so as not to give others a reason to mock him in the future, and I like it. In fact, Rondo is a very affectionate and kind boy who hides his tenderness behind this mask and he loves his sister very much. And also Allegra and Rondo are equally loved by their parents and grandmother. Because those, unlike the McCallisters, understand that if you have two or more children, you have to love them all equally, and not just someone in particular

We'd dare each other to get close to the door too and one day one of us touched it and of course we all ran away screaming like maniacs lol. On Christmas Eve, I would usually watch the Muppets Christmas Carol, then the 1st Home Alone, along with Adam Sandlers animated Christmas movie Eight Crazy nights, it came out in 2002, and on Christmas day I'd watch the 1985
Santa Clause the movie because despite the hate the film got, I enjoyed it.
Growing up in the 80s when we used to go sledging in the snow, my big brother and me used unused blackbags that's usually used for garbage and sometimes if you we're lucky one of the other kid's wanted to swap a go of their sledge for your blackbag, and no matter how much it snowed practically a white out we stayed out almost all day.
One Christmas as a kid there was such a heavy whiteout I couldn't even find my way home, when I didn't make it back my mum and granny came looking for me
(my dad didn't care enough to look) and they found me under the swing park slide , I was glad to get home that night, it would be so great to have heavy snow fall like that again

Fun fact: The movie that Kevin is watching is not a real movie. It’s called Angels with Filthy Souls and was fictionally filmed solely for Kevin to watch as a movie in the film.

This was the very first movie I saw at the theatre when I was 9. Timeless classic.
