Taiji's work in X cannot be compared with others. Without Taiji , the X's song has changed it's style .And they renamed to X Japan. There is big difference between the songs with Taiji and Heath.
Yup, Yoshiki renaming the band X Japan has nothing to do with Taiji leaving the band. And on a side note, no matter how much I love Taiji as a musician (and I really do!), he sucked big time as a solo artist. Taiji & Dirty Trash Road is probably the most uninspired, generic, radio-friendly, cheap rock/country music I've ever listened to. Not much better than elevator music, honestly. I wouldn't believe it when some people told me that as far as songwriting is concerned, his leaving X Japan was not a big loss. That is, until I started to listen to his solo work. Huge disappointment, really. The real mastermind behind X Japan has always been Yoshiki. He's the one who wrote all the band's greatest songs. Sheer technical prowess in itself is insignificant without the ability to write good songs. It's like being the best and the fastest at deboning a chicken or at peeling and chopping onions perfectly, and yet being totally incapable of cooking a decent meal. Total waste of talent, IMHO.... Oh, and one last thing. X Japan's change in musical style is not related to Taiji's departure. It was mostly due to Yoshiki's health problems, namely cervical herniated disc. That's why he's had to wear a neck brace on stage for more than 20 years now. And that's why there are very few intense, fast-paced rock songs on the album Dahlia, and what we got instead was mostly ballads. Again, this is nothing new. Taiji had already complained many times before that the band had gotten too soft and was now appealing mostly to teenage girls because of songs such as Endless Rain, Unfinished or Say Anything. He wanted the band to go back to its roots and to a much heavier sound, just like when they were playing to a male audience in live houses. But Yoshiki was adamant. He kept telling Taiji "this is *MY* band and I'll do whatever *I* want. If you don't like it, just leave". The only other band member Yoshiki would listen to was hide, nobody else. He was the one who could persuade Yoshiki to do things he was reluctant to do. hide's untimely death is what really killed the band.
X Japan has always redefined music, and Taiji was no small part of that.. If things went differently, where Taiji didn't leave the band and Heath didn't join, who's to say where it would be today.. Taiji had a record of being wild, drunk, out of control. That said, he was an amazing bassist and should not have passed on as he did. Blue Blood is my favorite X-Japan album, hands down, and his contribution is no small part.
So unbelievably happy you included Saga playing with Nao!!!! When I came across this solo a while back, Saga was already one of my favorite bassists (besides Reita) and the full 6 minute video solidified that belief
Taiji is a beast X Japan are pioneers and one of the best if not the best band out of Japan. I wish BOH from Babymetal was on this list hes one of the best bassist out there right now.
I was about to ask about Toshiya's sick ass solo he does on Akuro No Oka but then he popped up as the bonus. I always thought thought solo in particular was friggin' S I C C Also, thanks for tuning me into some other great bands I haven't heard yet!
The reason we remember Taiji was a member of X not just because he was in the band. But also because he's skills that made people remember him.
Taiji and Heath!! X JAPAN are indeed legends !!
Taiji's work in X cannot be compared with others. Without Taiji , the X's song has changed it's style .And they renamed to X Japan. There is big difference between the songs with Taiji and Heath.
there was already a band called x is why they changed the name to x japan

RIP Heath ❤️🩹
@@Megrez-Alberich Don't ignore DTR. DTR is a commercially unsuccessful but highly complete album.
Picked the right one for number ONE. Taiji forever.
no doubt Taiji is the number one ♥
I fell in love with bass because of him
Xenon Ishikawa is definitely a monster! Awesome!! O cara é simplesmente demais!
Taiji
Taiji is so freakin' talented
Taiji also the bestest on Guitar too ! He always awelsome forever.
The best bass.... Mr.Taiji sawada..
Taiji deserved first. GREAT solo.

I saw Taiji and click so fast lol, this guy is a legend! as Toshi said he's the best bassist in japan.
more like best in the world
i&MinaInLove correction, the best in the world !
A lot of people think he his death wasn't really suicide.
totally true, nobody compares to Taiji
Same haha

Taiji forever..!! and in the Masayoshi Yamashita picture you put Akira haha, at least they are from the same band haha!!
Taiji playing Smoke On The Water riff on bass 💗 Miss you hide and Taiji :(
Taiji、、
So unbelievably happy you included Saga playing with Nao!!!! When I came across this solo a while back, Saga was already one of my favorite bassists (besides Reita) and the full 6 minute video solidified that belief
1.- Taiji (X/X Japan)
2.- Xenon Ishikawa (Seikima-ll)
3.- Hitoki (Kuroyume)
4.- Saga (Alice Nine)
5.- Heath (X Japan)
6.- Masayoshi Yamashita (Loudness)
7.- Reita (The GazettE)
8.- Kazuno (Moi Dix Mois)
9.- J (Luna Sea)
10.- Miyu (Amadeus)
no one could defeat Taiji ❤
Clicked to check if my man Taiji is number 1, wasn't disappointed 👍🏻
Phantom of the Opera!!!!! (I gotta start listening to more X Japan now). Awesome list
Taiji is the legend
I think TAIJI No.1 of Asia and top 10 of the world. He is my favorite. On bass TAIJI !!!!!!!
i have an admiration for the bass. It's the "oomph" in music.
And these guys are the Kings of Bass.
Kuroyume is... AMAZING!!!
I know that taiji is the best basist in Asia ever.
R.I.P taiji~
R.I.P. Taiji
Woa, the Greensleeves bass solo was sweet.
And I can agree on Taiji be the best :3
We Are X!!!!
Taiji is the best
taiji is the best!💗
i know most of them are drum/bass duet .. and i love how they played thier bass guitar.. .. from top no,5 to no,1 was the awesome on me ..
TAIJI!!!!!!!! IS #1 OFF COURSE
TAIJI SAWADA~!BEST~!!
Taiji is pro bassist
taiji~❤️❤️
Taiji is a beast X Japan are pioneers and one of the best if not the best band out of Japan. I wish BOH from Babymetal was on this list hes one of the best bassist out there right now.
Trueeeee boh the GOD
So cool
Thank you for making this!
I was about to ask about Toshiya's sick ass solo he does on Akuro No Oka but then he popped up as the bonus.
I always thought thought solo in particular was friggin' S I C C
Also, thanks for tuning me into some other great bands I haven't heard yet!
@@jtjtmjatgopdptg
Taiji
BIG LIKE for Alice nine! A9 ONE LOVE
I think that heath bass sounds awesome at phantom of the opera and taiji rocks tha bass I love how is fingers dance over the bass
