I like how Unleashed Sonic made Sonic Forces look more fun and Forces Sonic somehow made Unleashed look kinda meh.

Unleashed also had the sense of freedom that relied on your ability to truly platform while maintaining high speeds. Forces is just way too linear with its movements and it was really shown with this video
It really says a lot that Unleashed Sonic can adapt to the level design of Forces, but Forces Sonic is having a much harder time adapting to the level design of Unleashed. Really, that says EVERYTHING you need to know!
I think that the generations engine is much better paced that forces.
Probably cause the one forces was on is the same one that had a run button in the last game

I reckon it's supposed to be the part where Sonic is escaping the prison near the Death Egg. I like the fact that all that's done for that here is taking Sky Sanctuary from Generations, recoloring it, and put it in space. Perfect.

I just realized that if Sonic Unleashed comes on Steam then we could have mods. Sonic Unleashed can be modded! Also, this forces level in generations made sonic forces way better.
There's also already mods for unleashed even! With a bit of RPCS3 or xenia magic, you can play modded unleashed.
Sonic unleashed has already been modded. I saw someone mod shadow into it

This has set in stone one very large thing for me: The biggest problem with Sonic Forces is lack of flow. You look at the two, and Unleashed Sonic just looks fun to play as because you can maintain a beautiful flow provided you're fast enough. With Forces Sonic, everything is just... Lesser.
I’m not alone. I believe the game is too short, the alternative paths (if any) are easy to take, and Sonic looks stiff in gameplay

Yes it is way better, this is called the motion parallax effect. 50 mph can look completely different from 2 different angles

Unleashed Sonic’s model and animation gave VERSATILITY and FLUIDNESS of motion to him. Like, even his jumping animation is FAR MORE INTERESTING than Forces’

Goes to show you, the same forces can be immediately better with different animations, SFX, voice effects, and different camera angles. It’s almost like unleashed has a parallax effect
I was thinking "Since when was this in Forces?" Then I realised it's been over a minute on the stage then I realised "oh, it's from Generations." Since all Sonic Forces stages are just 1 minute each. XD
One thing sonic team ALWAYS LANDS is the soundtrack I'll give them that, I haven't played sonic forces yet so my opinion is invalid, but I can say this, sonic unleashed is one of my favourite games of all times, I wish they make a remake of it one day, I mean I get that a lot of people don't like it like I did

honestly, what forces really needs is dynamic camera like in unleashed, also various camera angles
that's why so many 2d sections in unleashed looked so good and fast, more 3d than 2d (ik that sounds dumb)

Unleashed sonic is without a doubt the best one. The only let down was the graphics. I mean even the maps were more engaging than in Sonic Forces.

This is the first time that I didn't immediatly notice that this was Generations with mods to make it look more like Unleashed. I could tell by the lack of the exp bar and the speed meter not working in the hud. Well done I guess lol

Very. The assets and enemies are all missing and the environment is much too small for forces sonic. They should expand it.

Nice vid! Forces Sonic is definitely an ENORMOUS downgrade... putting that guy in Unleashed looks like a nightmare. Why did they downgrade the boost effect so much too? Boosting in Unleashed felt so satisfying and the sound effects complemented that, too. In Forces everything is so boring and unsatisfying.
For real tho I think we can all agree that forces would be better if we could drift and light speed dash
