So happy you guys can take off and enjoy the Outer Banks. There yrs ago and enjoyed it. Be sure and get a ferry ride in. Thanks for taking us along. Ray & Linda
Wow what a gorgeous place. I love the view. Mariam is great as normal. John you are cracking me up with the Loo lol. I know you drove back in the cold and I would take the rain over cold any day. Great footage. Yes I'm studying you all lol. Thanks for sharing.
That is what I did,, and still do, look at other channels and study the format. It was not cold,,, but brisk.... it was a great ride home... You guys take care..
Dang, I wish our worst trip started out as "badly"..! I love your opening sequence with Miriam wiping snow and sleet off the seat to get on. I remember that trip and your subsequent soaking in a hot bathtub (boo..!) I can relate to our own, hail-filled- seats adventure. We were lucky enough to (okay, I...) laugh through it all, PLENTY of cold-wet-weather gear and... weather-proof boots. Can't overstress that. Another pair of dry gloves might have been appreciated. There is a lesson in every ride... I like your airbnb adventures, gotta look harder at those... Be safe, you two...
Love your videos! Just want to remind you that if you don’t ride in the rain then you don’t ride. Just relax, slow down and enjoy the day. It’s all about journey not necessarily the destination. Very envious of you two.
I used to eat c-rations while in the Navy. Not good cold but pretty good heated up. To much salt now for my age. Keep the dirty side down and enjoy the ride.
As a riding buddy once said to me "a day riding in the rain is still better than a day at work" of course since the work part doesn't apply to you guys any longer it might not be as significat LOL Enjoy the ride, no matter the weather!
I've heard that the top lookout of the house was called the "widow's weep"., where the wife would wait to see her husband's return from the sea. Sometimes not to happen.😥😂. Miriam seems to be enjoying retirement. You go girl!! You've both worked for it. Thanks for sharing it with us. 👍👍🙋♂️
I live next to Leeward air ranch central Florida(Ocala). We have WW2 and bi planes fly over just about every day. Including, Ford Tri power, bombers and a mig. We love watching these old planes. They are used for many fly by events. I am retired Air Force miss flying the 172.
Morning . Yep the outer banks is a great place to go. We've been there. Looking at it from your perspective I probably will see some things I didn't know was there. Yall pick the nicest places. Just add water to a ready made meal, just makes the trip that much more fun wish we were there. All the best to ya, later.
We were just in VA beach a few weeks ago...hoped to see you guys on the road around town,lol...we also rode down to Rodanthe in obx, beautiful area! Have a great trip,we will be watching! (We have a 2012 rtl) love our spyder!
Maybe you’ve talked about this subject in a previous post. Wondering what you do for security with your Freedom trailer when you stay somewhere overnight. Do you 100% unload everything and store in your facility or do you simply lock the compartments and place your trust in your fellow humans and the locks?
Hay Robert, All valuables are removed. Its locked and its locked to the Spyder with a hitch lock. In the event we need to drop the trailer as we did in Santa Fee in 2019 for a day ride. We have a wheel cable lock and the hitch lock. And we lock the Spyder storage areas as well. The only thing we do not take in at night is the Spyder tool kit that lives in the Spyder trunk., Take care, J & M
WVEC Weather use to be the best n the area but they have lowered their standards to be just as bad as WAVY or WTKR weather. At least it was a warmer rain. Would like to bike it down to where Teach/Blackbeard made his last stand.
Safe travels. Enjoy the trip

Much better than the old C-rations. We always take a few with us when traveling
Thank you. We love the OBX we normally stay Kill Devil Hills or Southern Shores. Every year's vacay.

I am finding the planning, shooting, editing video to be kind of like work. but I love it.
John be careful sodium content of those packaged meals.

Thoroughly enjoyed this one John and Miriam. The area you live in, is one I would consider moving to, there is so much to see. Thanks for this one.
I love the Outer Banks. Haven’t been there in a few years and this reminded me to plan a trip! Hope you two are having fun!

As a pilot, I think you know that weather reports and a GPS will lie!
Correct, the best weather observations are ones eyes..

Do I hear a conure on the background?
I do voice overs is our home office, The bird lives in another part of the house. One of the loudest birds in the world
i assume you are running stock kenda tires on your spyder. how have they been in the rain? do you just maintain moderate speeds? thank you.
Yes, the tires work fine, wet or dry.
