It would be super-helpful to provide a link to the parts, like the thru-hull fittings or the part you used to allow the cord connected to the trolling motor to swivel... or at least what they are called. Having a hard time tracking them down.
I stuck an Xi3 on the Bow of my Predator PDL last year. I am now addicted to that TM. However, mounting all that weight on the bow really affected the kayak's handling in adverse conditions. I am curious how the PA handles all that bow weight. Have you noticed changes in how it handles since the install?
Can you show how the cable is ran through the hull for the cord that locks and unlocks the pedal on the Xi3 please. Sick set up. I have pretty much same setup. Just trying to figure out how I can get my cable ran right.
Ehhh! I see you decided to go through with the bow mount motor. Nice setup, im going to need to make my lever and pulley release more efficient and clean like yours.
Man that is sick, but is there anyway that you can go into more detail on how they did the deployment pull rope system on releasing the motor? (On how they rigged it up and what they used and what mount is used to let the motor down)
I'm running the same setup, as long as the wind is 15 mph or less I'll get a little bit of water at full speed that comes up through my scupper holes. That is the only water I have seen, if you're going full speed into white capping waves you'll definitely get wet. I'll eventually post up some new videos with the setup on my channel as a lot of people have questions about it.
Sweet setup. Do you leave the trolling motor attached and the battery on your kayak during transport? Also, can you leave your rods in the thru hull rod storage during transport? Thanks for the vid.
Thanks for watching! I don’t leave any of that in my kayak while transporting it. I have kept my rods in the hull storage a couple of times though without issue. Just make sure you strap them in with the little bungy cord. You could probably get away with leaving the battery in as well if you wanted to. I’m just paranoid I guess haha
I think I’m gonna sell my PA12 One Objective Bow Mount and get a On The Water bow mount instead due to it being lifted an inch and a half allowing to install a pulley on the mount itself for the motor release instead of drilling. Also it comes with red/green lights already
Nice video. Are you using it in saltwater too? I noticed on their site the saltwater version is coming in 2022. Curious if you are using yours in saltwater anyway and how it is holding up.
@@steveparker7763 Thank you!!!! I've been looking for the right clamp to attach my deploy rope and I think I finally found it... sincere thanks for sharing! 👍
The motor with GPS pinpoint is $1,250 I believe. You also have the cost of the battery, whatever mount you choose, and other miscellaneous parts depending on what kayak your have. If you give kayak fishing supplies a call they should be able to get you a price for what you want to do
I don’t understand why people buy a kayak and put a motor on it. Kayak paddles, exercise, solitude…all things to consider. Next week I’m buying a glider and putting an engine in it. Oh, wait,… that’s an airplane.
Nice trolling motor, I’m running a 5.7 hemi on my kayak
That’s it? 🤣

Finally tested this out. Kayak Fishing supplies did a great job. Thanks again for the recommendation.
That’s a Nice pulley set up for deploying the motor.
Yup works great! Thanks for watching
Nice setup ,where can I buy clamp for raising the motor
Man this came out great! Sweet rig bro so stoked I got be apart of this process! 👊🏻
Thanks man, appreciate it 🙌
Sweet set up man
Placed an order with KFS, thanks for sharing the build.
Awesome, you’ll love it!
What size eye screw is that for the live-scope bracket? Also, what kit did you use for the mod of the release pedal line, inserts, knobs?
Hopefully there is a DIY with parts, instructions and tutorials of how to make the trolling motor pulley release and cables like how yours is set up
Good point, I’ll see what I can do!
ever make video?
Nice job brotha! Clean install. Now I know who to go to when I get my motorguide.
Yessir! Let me know when you’re ready

Do you remove the trolling motor during transport or is it sturdy enough to leave it on without damaging the kayak?

Yup! Loving it, let me know if you have any questions
where did you get the clamp that was attached to the shaft of the trolling motor.
following this question also
Wow sweet rig how’s the 360 drive still a lot of problems what’s your experience
this is a beautiful kayak and how its set up. But what is the part name for the cable coming out of the kayak floor for the trolling motor?
How did you secure Anderson connector bolts or just screws
It's dirrty because I catch fish. Haha love it.
Lol yup 🤣👍

Thanks yes I’ll try to do a more in depth video 👍
Garmin 0101278401 is on the shaft, and One Objective sells the through hull for the rope to deploy
How shallow can you go with that trolling motor setup?
Where to get the pieces to pull the lever part?
Thank you for this awesome video! ^_^
Hey do you take on water when your full speed on your trolling motor?

Is the hobie pro angler 14 with a 360 drive is it good in saltwater or is the Old Town 136 autopilot better

What size wire are you running? And what are your Anderson connectors rated at? All I see is 50amp connectors
Hello.. What is the price of that set up, as is of July/August 2021?...Regards..
Jake, how did they accomplish running the pull cable for the xi3 release lever?
Dude this is awesome
Keep us informed if you have any problems with cracking around that front handle from all that weight.
No issues yet but I will keep you all posted 👍
Nice video. Are you using it in saltwater too? I noticed on their site the saltwater version is coming in 2022. Curious if you are using yours in saltwater anyway and how it is holding up.
Lot of salty comments in here. 🤣 Awesome build man. I'll be doing mine as close to yours as possible. 👍👍
Lol for real. To each their own. You’ll love it 👊
Do you get water in the hull when you run the motor. I had mine out today and had some water in the hull at the end of the day.
Love it! Can this be used in saltwater?
The kayak yes, the motor is rated for freshwater but they sell saltwater versions 👍
@@jakethroughthelens2512 thanks Jake. I ordered the saltwater version.
So on your ketch board you had two tourney tag holders one pouch and one clamped to the board. What is the one clamped to the board?
That one is sold by Ketch, you can find it on their website 👍
Nice set up! What battery did you decide to go with?
Do you know what piece they used to attach and hold in place the power pole connector to your boat?
Sorry not sure what you are referring to. I don’t have a power pole
Who makes the free swinging bracket that the pull handle is mounted to?
I believe it is intended to be used for Panoptix, so Garmin.
What did they use to hook to your pedal to release the trolling motor? What are specific parts?

Thanks Greg!
Sick set up brother!
How fast can that xi3 run your kayak?
Thanks man! It’s pretty quick the fastest I have hit is 5.0 mph. Runs about 4.7 on full power most of the time though
Daddy’s back👅👀👀
And what are you doing for nav lights?
Nothing currently, need to get that figured out though!
Yak power lights are awesome
at 3:09 where to get that?
Would you please be able to tell me the name of that pulley mounting plate? Thanks!
Sorry I’m not sure I think it was custom from the shop. Let me see if I can find out from them 👍
